Fit Turf has fertilized and provided lawn mite control for our lawn for the last 2 years. And we couldn't be more satisfied. Our lawn looks great.
My only slight complaint is that I would like to talk with the tech who provides my service when he is here. I know the work has been done, but would like to visit with my service provider at time of service. -
They have done an amazing job at my house. Before and after photos are just amazing.

Fit Turf has done an amazing job helping me keep up with my lawn care. They always leave a summary of the work completed and any services they suggest based on the condition of the yard. I've never felt pressured to add a service but always informed on the options. I would recommend them to anyone!

In May 2018, our front yard was a sea of dandelions, crab grass, and various other weeds. We were the black sheep of our neighborhood, and the weed killers from Home Depot weren’t having any impact. We called Fit Turf and agreed to try their season long treatment plan to get rid of the weeds, though I had my doubts given how late into the season we were and how overwhelmed the yard was with weeds.
After the first treatment, we waited about a week and didn’t see any difference. Feeling like we had paid for something worthless, I called customer service and expressed my doubts. They were very polite and asked me to “trust the process”. They told me the first treatment doesn’t handle weeds but the next one would.
A few weeks later, things turned around. They performed the second treatment, and within 24 hours we were seeing some pretty incredible results. The dandelions had already started wilting. Within 72 hours, they were completely dead. I was able to mow the yard and from a distance you wouldn’t have known there were any weeds.
It took another week or two, but eventually our yard looked flawless. Not a single weed could be found, and our grass flourished all summer and fall. Our neighbors were dealing with weeds all summer, and I was worried they might take seed in our yard from being blown by the wind. But it never happened; our yard stayed bright green all summer and even now (December 2018) we still have the brightest yard on the block. We’ve gotten a ton of comments from neighbors on how great the yard looked all season.
Two thumbs up for Fit Turf. I will absolutely be using these guys for my yearly weed prevention from now on. -
I can’t say enough amazing things about this company!!!! We bought a house 3 years ago and the landscaping in this new, big backyard was overwhelming and in desperate need of help!! We called Fit Turf due to our grass dying in numerous areas and us having 3 dogs that were starting to tear it up and make matters worse
Not only do they give you appropriate notice before they come ( having dogs the notice was a must) but within one full season from start of spring til the last fall treatment our yard looked 100% better!! I will never try and treat and take this project on myself as they know exactly what they are doing!!! I’ve personally talked to one of the managers Jason Dunn with special requests about his guys coming into the yard as our fence gates are in need of attention and wanted to make that clear so they don’t get worse
I’ve never had any issues, no matter who comes out to service my yard is professional and on time
So thanks to them for the 3 years of service -
Used Fit Turf for fertilizers - deep root applications, iron injections in trees, lawn fertilizer. After several attempts, I've successfully canceled my account.
Billing is a nightmare. On THREE occasions services were performed without my consent. Communication is terrible, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the technicians would show up unannounced, would not perform service because of the dog in the backyard, and then it's another week before they get back out there. Their only means of communicating this is by leaving a 'sorry we missed you card'. Have not seen any evidence of their products solving any of my issues. -
Billy did a great job. He was on time.

We had an issue with elm beetle this year and I called a few companies to get a quote for insect control before the tree could no longer be saved. Fit turf gave us a decent quote, but were the first to come in with a price. When I told the sales person I would get back to him, he instantly turned on the creepy sales pitches, such as, “well, I’m a certified arborist, so make sure you don’t end up getting scammed by other people out there who don’t know anything.” I was turned off by the tone, but ended up going with them and had fit turf come out to spray what I understood to be just our 2 big shade trees in the backyard. When they came, the tech didn’t knock on the door or let us know he was there. The tech ended up spraying everything, covering our vegetable gardens with pesticide along with our fruit trees. When I called to voice my concern, the same sales person was condescending, saying that it’s normal practice to just go in and get things done, and that everything was safe. Not the point, and not my concern.
Anyways I told him that I didn’t want sprays anymore and thought that was it. A few weeks later, I get a text on a Saturday morning saying they were going to come out and spray again. Didn’t look at my texts till Monday and called mid morning to cancel the service that I didn’t even ask for. I then asked for them to never come to my house again and to completely cancel my account. I guess it was too late though because the tech had already been to my house (I wasn’t home this time) and sprayed everything, fruit trees and veg garden along with the trees again. This was a Monday.
Today it’s a Wednesday and I’m now getting spam emails and spam calls from salesmen at Fit Turf saying they are “scheduled to start the deep root feeding program”. When I interrupted and said, “no you’re not, I canceled my account.” The creepy sales pitches started right up again.
I’m not an idiot, creepy sales pitches are just that- creepy, and the company obviously has poor internal communication. Go with another company, we did. I don’t normally post reviews, but this is one of those services people generally find through google searches. Figured it would be helpful.
***Update***
Fit Turf did indeed refund me for both the sprays that occurred. The day after I posted this review, I received an email, a phone call, and a written response to this review - all saying the same thing. They are good about trying to resolve issues once reviews come in. -
I got the service because I dont have the tools to get rid of the weeds. They told me I didnt need to cut the grass for it to work so I went through with the service. Then the tech told me I did need to cut and didnt spray.
Then they said that they wouldnt cut the lawn for me so the spray would be effective.
And now theyre getting 1 star because even though I canceled my service last year I just got a charge for 550+ for a new round of services this year. -
I have owned the same home for nearly 25 years. Green Mountain Lawn and Tree Care took impeccable care of our front lawn for years. We had the greenest, healthiest lawn on the block. This is until they were bought by Senske Services.
Our lawn treatments went straight downhill from there.
Next, we commenced service with Fit Turf. They reached out to us. Little did we know, they were ALSO owned by Senske. Jason Short reassured my husband that we would not have the same negative experience with our lawn care that we had with Senske Services.
On August 10th, a technician who appeared to be "compromised" showed up and mentioned he nearly forgot to service us. Two days later, we have burn marks throughout our front lawn. We hired a professional lawn care service who identified the technician error and explained clearly why our lawn went from being reasonably healthy to having extensive damage throughout. We literally paid for our lawn to be damaged by Fit Turf.
Jason did not apologize, or even try to get to the root of the issue. No refund was ever offered for damaging our beautiful front lawn. Grass doesn't go from good to tragic in two days after a regular fertilization treatment, unless there were missteps in the process. Since there was no apology or acknowledgement, I cannot recommend this company. I NEVER made a single complaint with Green Mountain when they serviced our lawn. Tim came like clockwork every month, and our lawn looked great year after year.
Fit Turf did apply Revive lawn treatment at no charge, but the damage will take time to repair, and we still paid for a treatment that killed our grass. The new company I hired will come out in a month and work to repair the damage done in one treatment by a "compromised" Fit Turf technician.
I tried a "big box" lawn company after being with a small mom and pop company for years. Lesson learned.
When any business performs a service and that service results in making your yard look worse, apologizing and taking ownership of the resolution is key. In the absence of this, trust is dissolved and a business relationship simply cannot continue.
If you are looking for a professional company with consistent results, Fit Turf, sadly, is a gamble. -
Called to have someone come look at my lawn to determine what the issue was and what service I needed. Was told a rep would give me a call to set a date to come out and take a look.
A week later and no one has called. So I called back on a Monday. I was then told the same thing again, someone would call me to establish a date to take a look. Again, no call that day Monday, or the following day of Tuesday.
I called back today (Wednesday) promptly at 8am to try for a 3rd time to establish service.
I was on hold for 20 minutes before being pushed to an “overflow” line and finally getting an answer.
I was then told by that rep that “Senske”, who now apparently owns Fit Turf, doesn’t send anyone out to look at your lawn. You have to sign up for services before they even come out and see the issues you’re having.
The rep I finally got ahold of actually told me “you could always use another company” when I questioned why the wouldn’t do a consult.
Poor customer service at its best here. Looks like I’ll be taking the Fit Turf Reps advice… and using a different company.
Also, how do you diagnose an issue when you don’t see it, and the homeowner who knows nothing about grass other than it should be green (that’s me) can’t tell you accurately what’s happening??? -
We have used this company for bed and border control for the last several years and the service has gone very downhill since switching owners. The first couple years we barely had any weeds at all. This year is the worst I have seen it. There are large sections that look like they weren’t sprayed at all. Our whole family was home when they supposedly serviced our yard and none of us saw the technician. When I called for a re-spray, I was told “they don’t like me to schedule a service call for vegetation only, but I’ll set up another visit”. What? We pay over $600 for vegetation service! Going to be looking for another company to take our business to!

As always, great service from an outstanding technician!

Ambrosia is the best! Always friendly and knowledgeable! Today went above and beyond for us!

Came out and did a great job, so quick reliable and affordable

They killed my Aspen trees. Was rolled into the company from the merger/acquisition. They changed herbicides w/o informing us. The techs are so poorly trained that they don't know that spraying aspen shoots w/ poison will carry that poison to the tree. I had a third party arborist come and they confirmed by the black and curl of the leaves that it was herbicide damage. Fit turf has offered zero compensation, not even a refund.
I'm out 500$ from a deep root treatment from another company to try to save my trees. As well as another 400$ to cut down the tree that has died. The trees were not that old and were perfectly healthy till whatever was put on my lawn and in my rock beds this year.
I see from another older review that Fit Turf tried to blame an issue w/ someone's lawn on Fungus. That must be a standard/scripted response b/c they tried to tell us something similar. That there may be a fungus causing the issue. -
I have used these guys first about a year and after paying 55.00 every other month my grass started dying. I called these folks and they sent out a tech or a specialist. He showed up .
