We had a drain pipe crack in our kitchen. From the dry out, to tearing out the damaged subfloor and flooring to replacing it Jim Black Construction made the process as painless as it could be. Jessy and Michael kept me up-to-date and the work was completed a day ahead of schedule. I would recommend them to anyone needing restoration services.

The basement of the new rental we moved into flooded within a couple of weeks and this was devastating to say the least. Jim Black Construction was contracted to do the mitigation and reconstruction. The whole process was smooth from beginning to end. Michael and Chris were amazing at communicating where things were in the process. They were both very kind and sincere as they swiftly and meticulously managed it all. We definitely recommend Jim Black Construction to anyone needing their services.

When my toilet overflowed for probably hours (I wasn’t home!) and there were gallons and gallons of water on the floor I called my insurance who recommended Jim Black Construction. Luke came over and met with me to assess the damage and get all of the paperwork started. Later that morning Pierce and Antonio came over and started the work of mitigating the damage. The whole team was personable and professional. They communicated each step of the way with me and gave me clear expectations and timelines. Now that the water is dried up I’m going to call the insurance back and request Jim Black Construction for the reconstruction as well.

Jim Black Construction took care of my water damage, Jon was my project manager and Jessy was my Superintendent. They were prompt, honest, and completed my project in a timely fashion. Sam, was also wonderful and did an incredible job making sure my project was perfect. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody who is dealing with any type of water damage at your home.

From the time I filed an insurance claim it wasn’t two hours before I heard from my insurance company who we could contact to get repairs done due to water-damage. Jim Black Construction has proven to be a solid company, always making us feel like we were their only customer.

We had a hose bib spring a leak and ruin our guest bedroom. Pierce handled the clean-up, and it was painless. He made sure we knew what he was going to do each day, when to expect him to do things, and how to contact someone to handle the reconstruction. Jessy handled the reconstruction and did a wonderful job. He gave us a schedule of when he was going to do things and made sure we were always up to date on what to expect. The problem I usually have with expert crews, whether it is dealing with my house, my yard, or my car, is that I have to make a nuisance of myself to find out what to expect. I didn't have that problem at all with either Jessy or Pierce. They proactively kept me informed. The entire experience (once we got the leak fixed) was excellent. If something like this happens again (and I hope it doesn't), I will definitely call Jim Black Construction.--Mark K

Great experience with Jim Black following a flood and heartbreak. We used another company for Mitigation before we knew they also do that. Things were not handled properly from that first company, but we immediately felt better once Jim Black took charge. Jesse and Miguel were amazing in making the process smooth, and I was communicated with and informed through the entirety of the ordeal. No one wants to have a flood or asbestos or lose items, but if you do, these are the people you want in your corner. You’d never know now and the results are wonderful! Carpet was even matched and the bathroom looks better than before. We are really glad we found you guys!!! Thank you so much 😊

I've had such a crappy experience with contractors since I moved to CO in 2017. This time around, Jim Black Construction was like a breath of fresh air. They did their work fast and always seemed happy to help and I was just amazed that someone actually cared enough about their work to do a good job. I recommend them 100% and if I need any home fixings again, that's who I will call.

Chris, Luke and Michael did a great job on our house after we experienced water damage in the kitchen. Water mitigation and repairs were done quickly on our schedule and looks better then it did before the damage. I’m here again to give high marks to this company, Jim Black Construction! A year after they installed our new wood product flooring (throughout our entire main floor due to a water leak underneath), they honored their warranty and came back out to make a few adjustments. Due to the dry conditions of Colorado's weather the flooring had shifted in a few places. Superintendent Chris Eddins came out to assess the issue and scheduled the work at our convenience. Tom and Craig quickly made the repairs and all is well again with our beautiful floor!! Thank you again, guys!!

I want to say a special thank you to Jon for the help with the design & Chris who was the foreman for the job. They were professional, and they offered their opinions which was very much needed because I had never been through this before. They also kept me informed along the way which makes the process easy. We had a dishwasher leak that damaged part of our hardwood floor in the kitchen, as well as the ceiling below in the family room. Our insurance company recommended Jim Black Co.. They repaired the hardwood floor, refinished the entire floor to ensure an "even" finish, and repaired the drywall damage in the family room with outstanding results. Mike, the overall manager, and Chris, the project manager, were knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to work with. They accomplished the work on OUR schedule. We will certainly use them again should another problem arise.

Jim Black Construction helped us out 2x in 2024. 1st we had a pipe freeze in January, our house flooded. Then in August we had hail damage to our roof, fence, and siding. Jim Black Construction was easy to work with, worked quickly and did a good job.

Great customer service! House trim was painted the wrong color and was fixed quickly after! Great company, will definitely higher for other jobs.

They are so slow! They have been working on my home for 3 months and barely anything’s done. They claim they had to get permits but that only takes maybe a week. At the end of the month I will be homeless due to insurance not covering next month because they should have already been done. They don’t care and don’t work. Bad service!
