Jim has re-roofed and painted my house twice now over the past five years and we maintain a relationship that is a step above contractor / client. Jim has come out to my property numerous times to do warranty work, or things I've needed done that were beyond my abilities. It is my privilege to recommend Jim Lancaster of High Performance Construction. Following a major hailstorm in our neighborhood Jim came to us highly recommended by a friend. After doing a detailed inspection of the damage, he pointed out additional damage the insurance adjuster hadn't caught. He documented the additional concerns, sent them along to our adjuster, and helped us receive a substantially better claim settlement. Jim's efforts allowed us to restore/improve our home to a greater extent than we ever would have dreamed. His professional crews installed a Class 4 hail-resistant roof, then did a superb job painting our home. We've already had three neighbors on our block remark on how nice everything looks. Jim walked us through each step of this process, answered all our questions, and gave us lots of choices in our roof/paint/window selections. Couldn't be more satisfied - thanks Jim!

Situation
On May 30th, 2020. We experienced significant hail damage to multiple areas of our property (roof, fascia, shutters, stucco, gutters, etc.). Jim came to us highly recommended by a friend and we were impressed with the time he took in his analysis and the ATTENTION TO DETAIL provided in his initial description of the scope of the project.

Working with Insurance
Jim was a great advocate to have in our corner when working with our insurance company to ensure that the job was done right and up to current codes. His professionalism with our insurance company ensured timely follow-ups on supplemental items needed to accomplish the job. Our property has difficult access and a very high steep pitched roof. Jim was able to articulate this to our claims agent and get the funding to do the job SAFELY AND CORRECTLY.

Upgrades
In addition to the claimable areas, Jim was able to offer upgrades and services that were above and beyond the scope of what the insurance covered. He did this at a very affordable rate. All the work done by his folks was TIMELY, FRIENDLY, AND FREE OF MESS.

Coordination
Jim continued to coordinate with our insurance company through the entire process. As a result of the same thunderstorm event, we also had other (landscaping/interior) contractors accessing our property. Jim PERSONALLY HANDLED coordination with the other supervisors when necessary. Everyone was happy and worked well around each other.

Further Coordination
The reason why this review occurs over 6 months later is due to our home’s shutter replacement. After comparing multiple bids, Jim helped us select ones that would make the exterior pop. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Jim’s distributor could not get the shutters to the jobsite for over 5 months. As we found out, access to materials was an industry-wide problem. Nevertheless, Jim reached out on a regular basis to the distributor and the manufacturer, and routinely gave us updates on the status of our order. Jim ALWAYS KEPT IN TOUCH and saw the project through to its completion. We think the shutters were well worth the wait!

Kindness and Accuracy
Over the course of the project and insurance claim there are so many accounting line items, associated values, depreciation, taxes, etc. Jim kindly walked us through every step of the process and explained what each number meant. His accounting was FLAWLESS and matched our records to the penny. This reinforced to us Jim’s INTEGRITY. It also shows that he values his relationship with his clients more than squeezing out a few extra bucks!

Jim at High Performance Construction did a phenomenal job with the siding repair and painting my house. His attention to detail and prep work gave me full confidence that my house was in good hands. All of the nail holes were caulked to really seal the siding and it was primed extensively to prevent further water damage and swelling. Once started, it only took two days for them to finish and everything was left as clean or cleaner than when they arrived. They even left the extra paint in the garage without me asking for it. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Jim. He is a great guy, very down to earth and willing to help in any way that he can.

High Performance Construction, LLC did extensive work on our house after a hail storm. Everything from roofing, gutters, paint, deck repair, windows, lighting and HVAC. I called Jim to get a quote to paint our house. He suggested he take a look at our roof too. Turns out we had hail damage and he helped justify to our insurance company in getting a brand new roof. He was very helpful and has worked with insurance companies in the past. We would not have known that we had hail damage unless he checked. All correct materials were procured before work start and the maintenance schedule was on point and finished with expert results. All waste was removed, and left over shingles were supplied for our later use. We required this work because upon selling our house, the buyer’s home inspector noted ponding occurring on a flat section of roofing, with the aid of a rainy day. “Lucky” us because when we purchased this house last year, it was sunny and our inspector said the roof was just fine. So this issue put us in a crunch to get the roof ponding issue repaired before closing. After speaking with a couple other roofers, it was Jim of High Performance Construction who could meet my crunched time frame and at a decent value. Good for us, we found Jim and now we have a roof that is fully repaired and certified for the buyers. Highly recommend High Performance Construction for all your roofing needs.

I contacted Jim at High Performance Construction for an estimate a few months ago. I desperately needed a roof. Jim went out of his way to make sure that he matched my lowest estimate with better materials. I was in an urgent situation and Jim made sure my roof was completed as soon as possible. Signed the contract on Saturday and my roof was done on Tuesday. Everything happened the exactly as he said it would. Couldn't ask for a better experience. We hired High Performance Construction to complete a number of projects to ready our home for sale. Timing was critical as our roof needed to be replaced, it was November and the weather is never dependable. Jim made it happen getting the materials and scheduling the crew on time and on budget. Needed the roof replaced after the July 2016 hail storm and High Performance did a great job! Anytime I needed something I was always able to talk to Jim on the phone. He upgraded materials on the job at no extra cost to me and the roof looks amazing. A year and a half later when I thought I had a roof leak Jim and his crew came out next day after contacting him and inspected the roof and attic space. Luckily no leak from the roof job. I contacted Jim after having to replace my roof due to hail damage. Jim and Josiah were spectacular. Jim was great to work with. He was at our house for an estimate within hours of our call. He was very thorough with his work up on what needed to be done to our home. The very next day he was able to get the work started with one of his great paint crews. The painting took about a day and a half and looks great! Jim was on site and helped us with several fix ups that were needed on our property. Our neighbors have been commenting on how fast it was and how great it now looks. We initially used Jim to replace our roof in Oct 2019, and he was great to work with. Very customer oriented and takes pride in doing a good job. When the shingles were on back order, Jim searched and eventually found a supplier who had them in stock so he could get the job done on time. We were also glad that he dealt with the insurance company directly, and was very reasonably priced for the extra work we wanted (installing new skylights). We were so satisfied with the roof installation, we subsequently contracted with Jim to paint the house in Nov 2018.

This time I needed my roof redone after our recent hail storms and as usual Jim gave me what I felt was the best price for the job and material I requested since I also required new sheeting be done also on the entire roof. We had a great experience with this company when we had our roof replaced so we knew exactly who to call when we decided to remodel 2 bathrooms and other miscellaneous upgrades in our home. All sub-contractors were excellent - professional and trustworthy. Jim made frequent stops by the house to check on progress and approve the work. He was completely upfront about all costs and did a great job overseeing this project which was completed within our timeframe. He works with a lot of military folks (including us) and we all give his name out frequently. I was out of state for a good portion of the time he was working on this project and he worked well with me by calling, texting, and sending videos and pictures. Highly recommend him if you have a project you need completed while you are out of town. Jim is easy to work with and very thorough.
