Terrible business. AVOID. Very deceptive bait and switch advertised rates and billing practices. Signed up for a very small front area mow, signed up to pay the quoted rate, and the terms displayed were “if your grass is over 9”, we might need to add an extra fee” I measured my grass at 7” and noted there were some patches overgrown higher in the notes. A reasonable expectation is for Lawnstarter or their contractor to then message me back BEFORE the service is performed if they evaluate my lawn and want to add an extra fee and give details of exactly how much more that fee will be so that I can approve or decline the service. Instead, they made zero mention of any issue even as I got messages that the provider arrived, the provider was starting service, etc. Not until I searched my account to try to find a receipt (which I never received after service) did I discover they charged almost $90 for a tiny front patch of grass. The guy did a decent job, finished in less than 30 mins. I would have been glad to pay a reasonable fee for the uneven patches and fact the grass had been shaggy. The fact they charged exorbitant (over double their original quote) fees to my card without my approval, however, is unacceptable. And then customer service refused to remedy it and gaslighted me with “it’s a legitimate charge.” Would not trust this service ever again. They lost a customer on the first service. I’m disabled and could have been a regular customer had they not pulled this nonsense. SMH.

Very unprofessional, they come when they want too not on the scheduled date assigned. One incident they half did there job they came did the front yard didnt edge like they was supposed to. Didn't do the back yard like we paid them to do and they left and didnt come back to finish. We used then a total of 3 times the first time was okay! After that is when the issues started. I wouldnt recommend using them, hire a company that actually communicates and come when they are supposed to not when they want to. 🤷🏽♀️

NONstarter, I would suggest that you google 'lawnstarter complaints' before you give them a try - the problems I'm having are common.
Unfortunately they left work undone and I am unable to get a call back from them - they charged me $67 anyway with out any discussion for my first supposedly discounted service. I received emails from at least 5 different 'customer service' agents who apparently don't read what you send and are unable to fix the problem. They already have your card number so if you aren't satisfied too bad. Really disappointing. I was excited to have this service but not anymore. As soon as you sign up they will start sending you an offer for a $20 discount if you rate them even before they show up. They give you a two day window and no specific time for when they are coming and don't read your notes. I asked for a call so I could put my dogs up and gave specific directions on the work needing done. Less than an hour went by and I started getting texts for 'how does your lawn look'. They were gone before I could go have a look. -
So the lawn car got delayed several days for weather which can be understandable. However, when it was eventually attended to they literally mowed half the back lawn and left it... The edges are just growing up the fence/porch, and then canceling is a nightmare. Trust me, just use someone different.

Great workers and decently priced!

Very rude when I called and asked for a rough estimate on what it cost to have a tree removed!
-
Bob Rundo knows alot about trees, he has serviced and treated our tree for years. Thanks Bob

Stopped by for firewood. Really nice guy,
Fair price on split firewood. From out of town so it was nice to find this place. -
The estimated showtime was between 12 and 2 PM. At 2:30pm they had still not showed up so I called them, and they told me they had mechanical issues....3pm they showed up. I will not be doing business with this company.

Albert came out for an evaluation of our tree. Super knowledgeable. Shared a lot of info, will be back next week to spray the trees.
-
Not a reputable company. One man show. Rude. Immature. Highly suggest taking your tree needs to ANY other company. Bottom of the barrel with Bob Rundo Tree Surgeon and Albert Godec.
-
We've been using these folks for years - trimming out out trees and spraying our spruce.... Albert has always been thoughtful and more than willing to explain his reasoning - prices are fair and the crew has always done a good job of picking up....

These guys are crooks. They destroyed property and when I pointed it out they basically said, "too bad"
Bad attitudes and rude. There are too many five star tree services in colorado springs to put up with guys like this. Do not recommend at all - ever. -
Ugh! Mis-diagnosed fire blight. Set an appointment time for them to come out, didn't show up, didn't call. When I called them, they said they were too busy and would come out when they had time, maybe in a day or two. They did finally show up, but I would say don't waste YOUR time with them.

The 2 guys were kind professional and fast. They did all i asked and they borh smiled the whole time...this company has been around for a very long time and my family has always used their services and always will!!

Bob Rundo Tree Surgeon cut down a crazy messy Cottonless Cottonwood tree in my front yard. I asked to have the stump left about 5 ft tall since I hired a chainsaw artist to carve a 5' chimp. The guys told me they left the stump 7 ft because the artist may want to have the carving on a pedestal and if I wanted them to come back and make it shorter they would. Thank goodness they knew what they were doing because indeed the carver DID want to have the Chimp on a 2' pedestal! Lots of companies don't bother to think through a project to make sure it is the correct thing to do. I was VERY happy I didn't end up with a 3' Chimp on a 2' pedestal and it would not of been nearly as awesome! Thanks Bob Rundo!!

Trees in my neighborhood were turning brown and dying. Bob Rundo Tree Surgeon told us it was Bark Beetle and they sprayed as a preventative. However, this spring we noticed a few pine trees on our property turning brown. I contacted other tree companies and was told Bark Beetle has not been seen in our neighborhood and the cause was Pine Needle Scale. The other companies showed me the scale. Now we may lose a few trees and have to pay hundreds of dollars to remove them. In my opinion, using Bob Rundo Tree Surgeon was a waste of time and money. This probably would not have happened if they had properly diagnosed the Pine Needle Scale and sprayed for it instead of Bark Beetle. As such, I cannot recommend this company.
