Matt saved the day. He didn’t just poke at the thermostat and hope for the best — he ran full diagnostics, explained what was going on, and fixed the heating issue efficiently. Professional, honest, and clearly knows his stuff. In Colorado winters, that’s the kind of guy you want on speed dial.

It was a pleasure working with Colton. After evaluating our drain issue he stopped to tell me the work that needed to be done, and the pricing. From experience, I’ve been given an estimate and at the end the price would be higher. Colton was respectful of the home and cleaned up afterwards as well.

We are extremely pleased with the service from Affordable Plumbing and Heat. After receiving what would’ve been an incorrect and costly misdiagnosis from a different company on an issue with our furnace, Matt took time and involved other techs at their company trying to get the correct diagnosis. Once he had it narrowed down but had time off, Adrian was sent so we would have heat asap. He was also very thorough. The company was also very quick to get someone out to look at our issue. We can’t say enough good things about our experience with them.

I had my drain back up and Affordable was the only plumber I called that actually answered the phone. Ed Z came out the next day and got my drain cleared right away! He was both very professional and honest. Qualities that are rare these days... Ed then got me set up with Jeff, who was also very professional and honest, to get a camera down my main line and discuss the extensive repairs needed to prevent another backup. Everyone I talked to at Affordable was amazing!

We recently replaced our furnace and AC unit with Affordable Plumbing & Heating. Our first contact person was with Wayne Cropper/HVAC Sales. Wayne was responsive and prompt in scheduling the work to be done. He followed through with a phone call after the work was completed to ensure all was done to our satisfaction. He has excellent customer service skills; very helpful; and accommodating.
The technicians were extremely knowledgeable and definitely experts in their field. Travis and Waylon were thorough; professional; and friendly. They answered all of our questions throughout the process. They went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the outcome.

I have used Affordable for many years for both plumbing and heating/cooling and they have always done a great job!
A few days ago I had a less than desirable experience having roots cleared out of my sewer lines. I called their office to express my concerns. I spoke to Maddi who was super apologetic for my negative experience and said she would have their manager give me a call. Chris, their manager, gave a call shortly there after and asked me about my experience and apologized again for the negative experience. He said they value me as a customer and want me to have the best experience possible and would take care of the issues internally. He then said he would send his very experienced technician, Ed to help me out and take care of the issue that day. Ed came by that day with another technician, Thomas. Both of them were super apologetic and spent quite sometime making sure all the tree roots were cleared out. They said their Field Supervisor, Jeff would come out and inspect the sewer lines as well and put a camera down in the line to ensure everything was perfect and boy did he! Jeff came out and had me watch as he put the camera down in the line and let me tell you the pipes were clean as a whistle, not a root in sight! He also helped me come up with a game plan of having him personally come out ever six months to clear the roots until I can afford something more permanent. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the outstanding customer service, experience and leadership that Affordable is dedicated to making each and ever experience the best experience! I highly recommend Affordable for all your plumbing and heating/cooling needs!

I recently purchased a new furnace from Affordable that was not operating correctly after installation. I was told to use a filter with a lower MERV rating but nothing changed. I was getting a loud knocking noise during start-up and shutdown in the furnace and the flue vent was super hot to the touch. Steven W came over and pretty much uninstalled all to include all the wiring and the blower. He tested all with the gas flame and operation. He made corrections and tested. The furnace is now running like a charm. No sounds, flue vent is warm and not hot. He even checked the ductwork and outside roof vent. No charge, under warranty. A work ethic like his is not that common these days. He is the man. Very much appreciated!! Thank You!!

I encourage this company to change its name..... because NOTHING is AFFORDABLE when they do the work. I first gave them a try last August, and on that first call... they charged me over $700 to clean and lubricate my outside A/C fan. Yes, $700 to wash & grease a fan, and tighten some bolts. Less than an hour of work.
-- Today, I requested a NON-EMERGENCY service call to have my furnace checked because it was not heating up to the thermostat setting. The charge was $309 just to do a 1-hr technical assessment. $309! And, they found nothing. Sorry, but JUST NOT AFFORDABLE.

We can’t say enough good things about the folks at Affordable Plumbing. Their team (Shawn, Wayne, Steven, Travis and others (we wish we had gotten all their names!) was extremely professional, polite, and wonderful to deal with. We were able to schedule our appointment quickly, and they arrived on time and put in several hours of work to install our water heater and furnace. They provided detailed explanations and even used special cameras to detect and show us the items that needed repair/replacement. We highly recommend Affordable Plumbing and will definitely continue to use their services.

My furnace went out the week before Thanksgiving. I called Affordable and they sent technician Steve out to diagnose. He was was very knowledgable about the old equipment and quickly had it figured out. The cost for a new blower installed was going to be almost $2K so I wanted a quote on a new furnace. Owner Roy came out personally the same night and gave me options for a new unit. Heather was able to get me on the schedule within days during their busiest time of year. Steve was also my installer and came with helper Paul to do an awesome job! Steve went the extra mile to make sure he had a happy customer, even though I struggle with low vision and needed a special thermostat and extra help setting up. Steve was an excellent and professional installer and I am so happy with Affordable! Thanks all!!

Our technician arrived on time with exceptional experience, personality, and a willingness to walk us thru the repair process pointing out the likely cause of the issue and how to best avoid it in the future. When finished, all joints and drain performance were double checked and testing was thorough, as was clean-up. This was my first experience with 'Affordable Plumbing, Heat and Electrical'. I wanted to write this review for service we received in mid January. Shawn L came out to give us a second opinion on overall plumbing checkup and our sump pump. He was polite, friendly and professional and communicated very well explaining things he found. He did a real thorough check of our sump pump as a different company told us it was not working and we felt it was and Shawn confirmed that and explained that it was working but was a entry level sump pump and someday would need to be replaced and the quality ones that Affordable installs and the pricing. He also checked the pressure regulator as the other company told us it was going bad but Shawn confirmed that it was in fact working perfectly! It was good to know that both items were working properly and appreciated his knowledge.

My husband and I do so appreciate and value the time Shawn L took to come to our home and do the inspection of all plumbing and his honesty about things. He was a pleasure to work with and will be using Affordable for now on.

Honest-but-True / Hard but Fair

Overall I would rate my experience as a 3 / 10. On a 5 point-scale it equates to a 1. I had an AC unit replacement and a tankless water heater installed. The AC unit went perfectly. My installer was “Reaper.” This guy is beyond good. He treated my home with respect, and I like that! If ever you get him to work for you, trust me' “Reaper” is going to be outstanding, and in the highest standard as well as a professional installation. His work was a 10 for 10. “Reaper” you are one of the best in Colo Spgs!

I was sent a past due notice before the city inspector had provided an inspection.
The installer made 3 trips on 3 days before the inspection/Why- because they didn’t have the right parts.
I still have 2 large holes (8x12 size opening) in my basement ceiling where Affordable Plumbing cut through my drywall. One hole had to be cut larger, cutting through a 2x4.
The Regional Building inspector had noted some faults and called Affordable Plumbing and informed Affordable that he would put in a stop-work, if a gas permit was not pulled. After another 2days, the installers came back to install carbon monoxide detectors, and took pictures ( to send to the City inspector).
I’m 5’7” and the display screen on the wall unit is only belt high (about 36"), meaning I have to bend over to read the LED display.
My overall assessment is that there is some miscommunication between inspection schedules/work being performed/and billing. A past due notice was sent out before completion. And after you say you are done, I have to pick up another bill to pay someone to come out to repair your work. Lastly, I would have discussed these issues with my salesman if he had stopped by doing the installation as he had told me during the sale or someone would have contacted me to ask me about my view of the process.
So no, I do not think your company deserves a ranking greater than a 3 of 10 rating. Customer service is not a noun, but an adjective; however, some companies do just consider it a department.
AC work 10/10
Customer service 2/10 (no communication on arrival times/no communication on inspection results/asked for final payment before work is completed/no follow-up communication.
Tankless Water 3/10 ( from installation to where I am today) - with two big holes in my drywall.
If Affordable do not call me, I will be calling asking for Affordable Plumbing to repair the damage to my home.

We discovered a leak right before the holidays and quickly realized it required a professional. Affordable Plumbing was able to get someone out very fast, and we were fortunate to have Ben assigned to our job.

Ben was kind, honest, and committed to helping us find the best solution for our family. He clearly explained our options, consulted with his team when needed, and helped us make informed decisions without any pressure. He was knowledgeable, personable, and demonstrated strong integrity throughout the process.

Ben and his colleague worked seamlessly together and were genuinely enjoyable to have in our home. A particularly appreciated touch was how thoughtful they were with our kittens, making sure they stayed safe and didn’t escape during the work.

Everything in our master bathroom was repaired and fully functional by the next day. Communication with the front office and dispatcher was also easy and pleasant.

I rarely take the time to write Google reviews, but this experience truly stood out, especially having a significant plumbing repair handled so smoothly on Christmas Eve.

We will absolutely be using this company again in the future. Well done, and Merry Christmas to the whole team.

He took the time to explain what needed to be done and made sure everything was completed correctly. The quality of the work was great, and the pricing was very fair compared to other quotes I received.
