90% of my plants are from this store! I love the variety of plants they always have & I appreciate that they have a shelf customers can put their items on while shopping!

I keep going back to Phelan Gardens. Everyone is really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable! Today was no different. I did not catch her name but today's assistant was super helpful and I went home with a Black Eyed Susan and a new Moonglow Juniper! I can not wait to get them planted!

Don't go to the box home store when this local nursery have wonderful stock. Great variety and really helpful staff.

I call this my gardening center. I've been going here since I was a little kid. The owner is amazing. The staff is always super inviting and very knowledgeable. I always learn something new and leave happy with the money I have spent. They aren't the cheapest, but they are hands down the best.

Chewy and I had a great time at Phelan Gardens.

Plants are absolutely beautiful! Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality of the plants. Selection was great. This was the only place near me where I could find a poppy plant.

Overall, we spent time on Memorial Day walking the rows of plants and trees. It was relaxing. The customers and employees were kind and friendly. Ashley, shown in the photos, was good to Chewy, and gave him a bone. I recommend the gardens as a wonderful place to have an outing. (Saw a St. Bernard doodle Chewy played with. He also enjoyed the chickens.)

Immediately had trouble parking. They are so popular that they need a larger parking lot, and I hope they get a new place with bigger grounds. Had to wait to get in to park. I also had a lot of trouble trying to get my car out. I parked in back, and had to turn the car around in a very tight space to exit, with a refrigerator in my way. Did not give 5 stars because of the parking problems and prices. But the plants are healthy and guaranteed, and everyone is pleasant!

I really wanted to like this place; it's the closest garden center to my home, and I was really excited to stop in and purchase a ton of stuff for my new planters. The store/grounds are really cute, with a lot of great products and wide variety of plants, and they have beautiful chickens! If you are confident and know what you're looking for, this would be a great place to shop. I'm 100% new to gardening (and this geographical area), and had some basic questions. The staff didn't seem to want to talk to me, and the one person who did was pretty condescending about my lack of knowledge. I felt small and embarrassed, left empty handed, and probably won't return.

Amazing Place! We have been going here for years and the staff is always super patient and kind. Love the aesthetic and how you can spend as much time looking around and appreciating all the plants! They continue to give me the best tips for indoor and outdoor plants anytime throughout the year. The parking can be a little challenging on nice days but with a little patience it is so worth it!

Excellent service! Anna was so kind and informative. She helped me pick a pot for the Peace Lily I picked and potted it for me. I will definitely be back.

Ever since we move to Colorado Springs 8 years ago, we have been year round customers. The staff are knowledgeable and very customer friendly. It is a family owned business and they treat you like family.
Every plant I have purchased from them has done very well. And advice I have asked for is spot on.

The classes are also timely as to the growing season you my need the knowledge. Plus they are just some great classes for the kids.

We bought 2 Norwegian maple trees from them over 200.00 for one. First one died it had suckers. So they gave us another the next year. So planted tree 2# it never thrived a year later it still wasn't looking good. This year it has one limb with leaves. So today I visited phelan and was told sometimes that tree just doesn't do well! I'm thinking why sell a tree that doesn't do well? Anyway they didn't do anything for me ( warranty) but did try to sell me another tree. Funny thing is about the same time we got the 1st tree a stray baby tree sprouted in the yard, I moved it to replant and it as tall now as the 200. Maple ! It even flowers every year, it's been 3 years now.. that's it on the left , our baby tree is growing up. Over though we like Phelan it's always our 1st stop ! It's June 16th 2025 it's been like 3 weeks plus since the review, NO REPLY FROM PHELAN...NOTHING!!

Fantastic little nursery with a good selection of trees without being overwhelming. We were shopping for trees but had no idea what we really needed. Monica was very helpful with figuring out what variety of trees best suited our needs.

I really enjoyed my first visit and came back in the same week for more. The shopping area is spacious and there's info sheets on a lot of things. I was able to find some new varieties of plants on my collectors list like monstera minima. I was also pleased to see plants in genres I haven't seen in town being properly cared for, like venus fly traps and pitcher plants which are almost always dead at other places. A little expensive, oh well 😊.

I absolutely adore this place! They have a wonderful selection of indoor and outdoor plants. I really love that every time I visit they have something new, too. The plants are always beautiful and healthy. And they stock the most lovely pots, and other necessities. The staff is WONDERFUL!

This is a hidden gem of a nursery! The staff are warm and greeted us immediately upon entry. The plants and flowers are healthy and the prices are very agreeable. So many types of annuals and perennials, shrubs and ornamental plants. They have supplies and hardware for the garden. Large and small garden accessories, statues of gnomes and mushrooms painted and unpainted. All in all, this was a fantastic nursery, I will be a customer here for many years to come! Thanks, the plants we bought are awesome!

What a delightful nursery and garden supply store. I enjoyed just walking around this lovely place. Very nice selection of healthy looking plants, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I didn't know of this place until recently and am very glad my search for pond plants has brought me here. I definitely recommend checking this place out for your gardening needs😃

Most plants I wanted I had to put back. They needed a stronger root system first. Sigh.
    *****update 2023
The greenhouse has several plants. Those that are not ready to pegs are clearly marked that they are not for sale (yet). Greenhouse is considerably warmer than outside where the snow pulled up... short sleeves are fine! Lots of variety, even if you have to wait until May to purchase.

Today, they hosted a class for our cub scouts. They had fun passing off activities and planting their own stuff. Awesome field trip. Cost $2.75/student.
