Scots Heating and AC Company truly knows their stuff. After working with techs in the past who just did quick repairs and left the units in bad shape, it was a relief to find someone like Matt. He showed up right on time, cleaned out the system and ducts, and even documented everything with before-and-after photos and videos. The air quality is noticeably better now. Super professional, honest, and reliable—highly recommend.

I was in a tough spot trying to locate an HVAC company that wouldn’t overcharge me for same-day service but the team at Scots Heating and AC Company came through. Their pricing was honest, service was remarkably quick, and they were both completely professional and helpful.

Pleased with the Dalco team. The process of our Tran AC install was excellent! Marc was super friendly and helpful in answering all our questions about what different types of AC, he provided multiple quotes for different options for us to consider. Would definitely hire Dalco when we need a new furness!

The Dalco technician was polite, very knowledgeable and helpful. He completed checked out my HVAC system and then went above and beyond by programming my smart thermostat. Outstanding service

BEWARE they will over charge for service. Our furnace went out and they responded same day and fixed the problem promptly. They said it would be a $79 trip charge that would be applied to the repair and the total time at my home was less than 30 minutes (including greeting and billing/paying). It was a glow ignition that went out and with a quick Google search found the part was only $20 and they charged $248. It took them less than 10 minutes to diagnose, remove, install and check the new part. I spoke with Matt, the manger, who said that price was the industry standard cost. Wow $500/hour is darn good wages. I called around to several companies and found that this is a typical SCAM of HVACs. Many will not quote a price over the phone, but state it is something ONLY the tech can give out. Basically once they come out, they have you in a bind. You have to pay their trip fee, and they are already there to fix your problem and basically force you to pay whatever they demand. I did find a one other companies who did quote the same price of $250 but then I found others who quoted $150 and they were BBB A+, bonded, insured, and with 85+ positive Google reviews--so a very reputable company. I would skip this company and search for one with better and more reviews than DALCO.

Marc from DALCO came out to quote me a mini-split system. After looking at my situation he proposed a few options to evaluate even if it meant he didn't get the sale. It was very refreshing to have an honest contractor who was looking out of my best interest. Based on my experience I would give Marc my business in the future.

We replaced our entire HVAC with DALCO in 2018. Still works well and we have DALCO in regularly for tunups. They are ALWAYS proffesional and ALWAYS on time. We highly recommend them!

Dalco helped us out with a same day appointment when our A/C stopped working. Travers was right on-time and while he couldn't fix our A/C in that visit (it had iced over and needed to defrost), he got us scheduled for a 7am appointment a few days later and even offered to lend us his own window A/C unit to get us through the weekend. He got the system back up and running at the next appointment. Price was fair and service was exceptional. Thanks Travers!

I have used Dalco Heating twice and since my technician on the first call, Travers, was so professional, honest and skilled I requested him for the second job. He helped validate that parts were covered under warranty, got them ordered, got me scheduled and did the work in a short period of time. I will always call Dalco in the future and always request Travers!

DALCO installed my boiler and did a good job for a good price. Unfortunately, about a year and a half later the boiler stopped working. This isn't DALCO's fault, but getting them to come out and service the boiler has been awful. They missed the Tuesday morning appointment and rescheduled for Wednesday morning. No one showed up for that appointment either. They promised to have someone out by 10:00, but they missed that appointment too. Maybe they are great when they get to your house, but I will never know. For installation I would give them five stars. For service I give them zero stars.

UPDATE (July 2023): The owner of the company did call and ultimately provided the quote after the original review was posted. We understand that all companies are experiencing staffing difficulties and lead times are extended at this busy time of year , but still not an excuse for not receiving a more timely response.

Marc came out and looked at our HVAC system (2 days late due to his child’s soccer) offered us a possible solution and said he would provide us with a quote. Three weeks later … nothing. Have emailed and texted him since … nothing.

The service technician came out to perform a tune-up to maintain our 10-year warranty with Trane. He noticed that our specialty filter needed to be replaced and noted that there are separate filters for winter and summer. As our furnace and air conditioner are new, we were thankful to better understand the filter system. Overall we were pleased with Dalco's service. This was a courtesy inspection that was included with our furnace and air conditioner installation.

We had new water heater installed. Traverse who came out for the estimate and install was very pleasant, professional, the install went flawless. We had Dalco install a new cental ac and furnance last summer and did a great job, which is why we had them back to replace the water heater.

I have used Dalco multiple times for new installations and have been impressed and pleased every time. They are professional, responsive, and incredibly experienced. On top of that, they are patient and they take the time to explain what they are proposing. It's rare to find a company that delivers more than they promise, but Dalco is such a company. I have recommended them to my friends and anybody I meet who is looking for HVAC service for their home.

DALCO has been great. Clear communication from the office has always happened. Prompt arrival times. Roman was great at fixing up our humidifier for the furnace as well as installing a new hot water heater for us. They are our new go to folks. As a new house owner it’s great to find someone that is dependable.

This is one of the least professional companies I have ever worked with. I had Marc come look at installing a ac unit in my Condo and never hear back on the quote. I called on three separate occasions to get my quote, and each time a staff member said they would leave a message him. I called his personal cell once, he picked up and promised to get it out that day, which never happened. Totally third rate company

I've had Dalco service my Aprilaire whole house steam humidifier for 3 years. Travers has generally been very helpful and patient. He's had to come back several times when the fix he prescribed, after consultation with Aprilaire, didn't work, or only worked for a little while. That's why it was particularly frustrating when during his last visit, he refused to listen to the results of the research I had done on the recurrent problem, which pointed to the water fill valve being the problem and requiring replacement. Even when he had aprilaire on the phone, and I tried to tell the aprilaire technician that it might be the water fill valve, Travers talked over me and continued to insist it wasn't. Well, the problem occurred again when spring ended, and did not resolve when I restarted it for the late fall with the salt fix that Travers had said I should use. Having had this problem for three years now, I returned to my message board research which indicated the problem was the water fill valve. I purchased the part, replaced the water fill valve myself, and voila ! Problem solved!!
I feel that Dalco gives really honest service and generally spends the time necessary to get a problem fixed. I'm frustrated however that the solution I researched was disregarded and dismissed out of hand, and Travers wouldn't even let me raise it with Aprilaire -- resulting in extra trips for Travers and hours of frustration for both of us.
I might still call Dalco for our next HVAC project, but this particular interaction drops them down from 5 stars.

The repair person showed up on time. I was quoted a $79.00 trip charge to inspect the furnace and air conditioner for a home inspection by one of the service dispatcher at Dalco. So we choose Dalco to do the inspection in good faith based on the $79.00 price.
The repair person took about an hour to do inspections.
When finished he handed my husband a bill for $220.00 which needed to be paid before he left.
This was a bait and switch situation.
He also wrote on the SOI that if we wanted to replace the furnace a additional service charge for that trip. He also stated if we used them for the furnace installation they would subtract the $220. from the bill but charge an additional $220. plus cost of repairs to work on the air conditioner.
Sorry, but we will not be using Dalco for any kind of work because we feel there is a lack of trust based the price they offer customers and what they actually charge!
This was first and last experience with this company.

We worked with Marc, he and his team did a great job. Reasonable price for the new furnace, they did what they said they were going to do in the time they said it would take. Like another user said, "no pressure sales, no drama, go in and go it done." This was our experience too. We have worked with several contractors over the years and Marc has been the best one yet.

Outstanding service and attention to detail. Just installed a new furnace and humidifier and would not have used another company! Technicians are experienced and really helpful.

Dalco recently installed a whole house humidifier in my house and due to terrible furnace design, the initial installation was causing 1 specific room have nearly all of the moisture to come through.

Once notified they came back within hours, helped walk through the problem, and we worked together to basically relocate the entire system to help alleviate the problem.

They never asked for additional payment even though it was absolutely not something they could have foreseen. They were 100% attentive and concerned for success.

I very much appreciate the high level of customer service.

The main reason for a knocked star was some inaccuracies about product functionality (integration with smart thermostats, how the native automated temperature-based humidity level actually worked) that I was able to find specifics to figure out on my own.

Very much not enough to detract from my recommendation. Customer service is top notch.

    Thank you dalco!
