We came home after a long weekend to find our first floor furnace not functioning. Completely dead. We called R & R as we had used them in the past. Wade was very professional and polite...and was able to diagnose and fix an uncommon issue within 30 minutes. Explaining everything along the way. Needless to say I know more now about furnaces than I've ever known. I trust R & R and appreciate the quality of their work. We will always call them when we have an issue. Thanks very everything Wade you guys are awesome!

Bob and Jordan are simply the best! Bob came out to look at our a/c that wasn't working. 87⁰ in the house! Come to find out the furnace wasn't long for this world either. Gave us some options on moving forward. In the end, we decided to replace both. Gave the go ahead on a Thursday afternoon, and was up and running the following Tuesday. His guys were very courteous and professional and installation was perfect in every way! Highly recommend these guys hands down! Thank you again!

Lived in house for 18 years and have had R & R out to service air conditioner twice now. First time was for the AC not working, but after tech said nothing wrong with AC he checked the fuse box and found the connections in the fuse box were very loose, with a Mr. Electric sticker suddenly present in fuse box. He tightened them up and good to go. Riley came out this morning at 10:01 with a 10 - 12 window. Checked everything out and did much needed cleaning of the box outside and the blower downstairs. Riley was extremely professional, answered all questions, efficient, and very honest. Thats a big one for me: being able to trust the technicians when I'm clueless. Absolutely trustworthy and worth every cent of what I thought was a very reasonable charge.

After my home was damaged in a flood, I needed to suddenly replace my furnace. It was one of the most stressful times in my life as a home owner. Kelly from R&R came out the very same day I called. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, truly someone with a physics professor level of understanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me make informed choices that have made my home much more comfortable. The entire team at R&R was fantastic to work with, professional, prompt, and respectful. I ended up upgrading the entire system, including a new humidifier and thermostat, and I could not be happier with the experience. I am very grateful for their help, Kelly in particular went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed.

R and R installed a whole house humidifier at our place. Special shout out to Riley, who went way above and beyond to get the installation right despite our complicated equipment. We are very grateful.

R and R Heating and Cooling was contracted by our home builder (Taylor Morrison) to complete the installation of the furnace and air conditioning system in our newly built home, which we moved into in April 2022. While we initially had no reason to doubt the installation, a series of issues over the following years revealed serious deficiencies in both their workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
After moving in, I personally hired R and R again to install a humidifier. That unit eventually leaked—caused by their use of a saddle valve, a shortcut that is widely discouraged in the HVAC industry because it is unreliable and prone to failure. This leak caused additional inconvenience and could have led to further damage if not addressed in time.
In June 2025, just over three years after moving in, our air conditioning system stopped cooling. I contacted two separate, reputable HVAC companies to evaluate the problem. Both uncovered major concerns related to the original installation performed by R and R.
First HVAC Company – Inspection Report:
Found the system completely devoid of refrigerant (0 psi).
Noticed a handwritten note on the evaporator coil from 03/2022 stating "no pressure on coil.” This likely indicates it was known to be defective or leaking at the time of installation and was never properly addressed.
Additional installation-related issues were identified:
Condensate drain had a non-serviceable P-trap
Emergency drain line was plugged
No safety float switch installed on the drain
Braze joints were likely done without nitrogen, a practice that can lead to internal corrosion
No protection for the refrigerant line set penetration through the structure
Due to the number and severity of these issues, their recommendation was to replace the entire system, rather than attempt to fix it piece by piece.
Second HVAC Company – Repairs Performed:
The second company confirmed that the coil was leaking, consistent with the original note found on the unit. They replaced the coil under warranty, and performed the following corrective work:
Recharged and properly pressurized the refrigerant system
Pulled a vacuum to 500 microns and set the system to the correct subcooling level
Installed an easy-drain P-trap on the condensate line
Added a safety float switch to protect against drain line clogs (which should have been installed by R and R)
Cleaned and inspected both air conditioning units, which are now operating correctly
Final Assessment:
R and R HVAC's original install—contracted by the builder—was riddled with negligence and poor craftsmanship. They failed to address a known defective coil, skipped essential safety components, and used substandard installation techniques. On top of that, the humidifier they installed after move-in leaked due to the use of a saddle valve, an avoidable and unprofessional choice.
The fact that another company had to step in and correct so many mistakes—just three years after installation—is deeply concerning. This experience has been frustrating, expensive, and avoidable.
I do not recommend R and R HVAC. Homeowners and builders alike should seek out a contractor who prioritizes quality, safety, and industry best practices from day one. -
