We signed a contract in 2014. This year we decided to do our own house keeping. Upon contacting them they require a minimum 60 day notice or the contract auto renews from 5 years ago! I calmly obliged and sent and email cancelling service 2 months out. After the two months they continued to bill me and are now requesting a copy of a certified letter.
No where does the contract state a certified letter is required
This is the worst business practice I have ever seen.
The contract is basically a scam that locks you into an auto renew contract you can't get out of.
I will be contacting an attorney.

I'm the office manager for a local non-profit and we've been utilizing SBS for a few years now. We're currently very happy with our cleaning crew who does an awesome job and always responds quickly to any needs or requests that come up.

We hired Stratus Cleaning to Clean our Office in downtown denver,
We had to Cancel the contract because they left our door open and alarm unarmed over the weekend. Not only is this a safety concern for our staff but a huge liability for theft ,fire and vandalism. When I called to address this, the manager said this was a small issue and wasn't a good enough reason to cancel.
He is now trying to send us to collections for a month of service he did not provide.
Trust me, Stay away from these guys!

Alma is wonderful and does a fantastic job cleaning our facility. Her communication is great as well. Any time I need to reach her, she replies right away.

Not many good things to say about our experience with Stratus. We pay them for weekly cleaning services at our office and they show up about half the time, if we are lucky. (We were eventually told we would be credited for the missed cleans, but surprise, that never happened either). The contracted list of items to be cleaned each week is completely ignored and we know that they showed up because occasionally the trash is taken out. We have come in to work to find our displays broken, desk plants knocked over, our building left unlocked and the lights still on. They are scheduled to come when we are closed, during daylight hours... which they also have never abided by. We called for a meeting to review our contract and learned that our cleaning crew was "in over their head" and we would be assigned a new crew- the third one in 6 months. The new guys came over this past weekend, after hours, and the only evidence we have that they actually showed up and attempted to "clean" was a roll of trash bags left at our front desk and many complaints from staff members that whoever the new cleaning crew was, it appeared that "they had mopped with Elmers glue" in our bathrooms. Needless to say, they do not have a good track record and we will not be working with them any longer. I hope you have/had a better experience than we did.

Stratus has been diligent about ensuring that our cleaning is to the standard we want, and they work to resolve any issues that arise.
They are also one of the best priced companies, and are wonderfully communicative. I would highly recommend them to any business needing a cleaning solution.

Our company had used Stratus for the past two years. During that time, we shared our concerns with regard to the inadequate cleaning services on a number of occasions - in writing, in person and in email - with our cleaning team, the account manager and her boss. The problems were never corrected, but we continued to pay full price for services that repeatedly were not rendered. When I provided notice of our intent to terminate our agreement with Stratus, I was verbally chastised and threatened that I would be "sued" and "taken to court" by the regional manager. This person called me a liar, and told me I was at fault for not sending in my concerns via certified mail. The contract doesn't give you a name, phone number or even address through which to voice your concerns or dissatisfaction, let alone send in documentation through certified mail. Their contract provides a "guarantee" for services, but they do not adhere to it. Their contract also locks you in year on year, and then even when you try to get out for their non-performance, you're stuck for another 60 days of substandard performance while they continue to take full payment. They incrementally do less and less on their contract, and then tell you that you need to pay more to get what you already bargained for. I have attempted to resolve this situation with their corporate offices in Denver and Los Angeles, and have been verbally ridiculed by those who answered and ignored by others I have left messages with. As such, I have decided to terminate their services, and will take my chances "in court," as they have threatened. At least there, even if they refuse to, the judge will listen to me and the countless ways I attempted to voice my concerns and allow Stratus to make good on their agreement. Beware - read before you sign, and be vigilant about what is and isn't being cleaned, or you'll end up in the situation I am in as well.

The cleaning was never what was in our contract. They would arrive and depart within 20 minutes sometimes. Every time I complained I was told they would look into it with no response or change. A couple Times they just didn’t show up! And we were still billed for it! Every single time they came they set off the security alarms. I would get a call anywhere from 2 to 4 in the morning disrupting my night. Police would be dispatched every time. They could not figure out how to use the security system which is a very common and simple security system.The cleaning crew was actually the least of my concerns, even given all that. It was the people from the franchise that cause the most problems. They would never respond to my inquiries or would brush off my complaints and concerns. I absolutely do not recommend this service.

These people did a great job cleaning to begin with and somewhere along the way, it just tapered off and our building has been left unlocked and the alarm unarmed several times in a row after complaints and the problem not corrected. I would not recommend these people for your business. We were locked into some sort of non-performance clause that we couldn't cancel our contract because apparently not securing the building and items going missing doesn't qualify as non-performance. And really All we wanted was to cancel our contract and move on and now it's become a huge ordeal.

We switched to Stratus after having issues with previous vendor. Since switching our service has been impeccable. The staff is helpful, courteous and polite. Our rep Nora is the best! Highly recommend Stratus as a company. And Nora as a rep is top teir!

We have been with Stratus for our commercial cleaning in Denver for just about a year now. Communication is top notch between the office team and the contractors. Omar and his team do an incredible job. They are thorough, flexible, and always show up to get the job done during scheduled hours. Can't recommend this team highly enough!!

Horrible! The contractor - Jaime Brown, does the BARE minimum. We have used the restroom right after he leaves, only to find it dirty. Nobody went in there since he left!?!?! Contacted SBS/Nora Gallegos - no reply to our issues. Pathetic! Per the contract, they are in violation and NOT doing what we are paying for! Our floors are NOT cleaned, carpet NOT vacuumed, counters in the kitchen NOT wiped. What are we paying for?? The tiny bit of liquid poured in the toilets that leaves the smell of "clean", i guess is what we pay for. We are NOT renewing with them. Hiring a BETTER cleaning service!
