Tree reviews in Evergreen, Colorado

The RR Tree Company did an absolutely great job on three fallen pine trees on my property!!
The owner Richard Hughes was professional, on time and successfully completed the work that we agreed to from his estimate provided just days before the tree service was completed! -
Just completed a tree removal effort on my property with RR Tree Co. I had quite a few dead pine and aspen trees needing removal, along with some other forest clean up. I went out for three bids with local companies with solid references. Richard Hughes (RR Tree) was extremely professional from his scoping of the work, providing a detailed bid to executing the work. I am quite satisfied and glad that I ended up awarding the work to RR Tree. He will be first on my list for any future tree work.

Richard and RR Tree Co have been a life saver for me. I had another horrible co in Evergreen that did a pathetic job and left dead trees laying on my property. RR Tree cleaned it up 6 months ago and came for for 60+ more dead trees and they did a fabulous job. I would recommend Richard over any other tree company in Colorado! And that says a lot I’ve had @4-5 co at my home with bids and work and he’s the best!!

We had a great experience working with this team. First with heavy pruning, then a couple years later to remove a huge silver maple in the corner of our yard. They worked hard to get the job done and the price was reasonable. The communication was thorough throughout, and they were considerate of my input. I've worked with lots of tree companies over 25 years in a prior profession and these guys are top notch. Also worth noting that I referred them to a friend who had multiple quotes for a large removal and K2 saved them significant $$ off their next option (and happy with the work).

Rob is professional and friendly. He removed a black walnut from our backyard and did a great job!

Our neighbors hired this company to remove a tree for them. They asked if they could take down my fence and use the backyard for about 3-4 hours. 9 hours later they are finally done. Didn’t put my fence up correctly my dog got out I had to fix it, then I found about 8 large pieces of flagstone broken from them dropping logs in my yard. Didn’t even bother to tell me. So there are many tree services in Denver don’t choose this one

I recently had two huge tough trees removed by these arborists. One was between two houses overhanging the roof, the other was abutting a garage with two sets of power lines going through the tree and probably one of the tallest trees in wash park, they did an amazing job. The prices were also significantly cheaper than the multiple other quotes I received.

Rob Springer at K2 Tree Removal did an excellent job at our Denver Highlands rental. Living out of town, we appreciated his prompt communication and reliability—it made working with our tenants much easier.
He removed a tricky Sumac tree located near a fence, patio, and lawn with care and precision, protecting everything around it. His cleanup was thorough, and when he returned to grind the stump, he removed most of it despite the tight space against the fence.
With competitive pricing, great communication, and professional results, we’d gladly recommend K2 Tree Removal. -
The crew did a excellent job of getting a pretty large job (over 40 trees) done and cleaned up in only one day. They were very professional and safe in getting the work done.

Fast, efficient and affordable service! My trees (very close to my home and electrical wires) were knocked down safely by a very friendly and courteous crew.

Splintered Forest came out to deal with some beetle kill on our land. They came in, dealt with our downed trees even though some were in difficult locations without any muss or fuss. The trees were ground up and removed without any slash or mess left behind. This is our second time using them and we'll be calling them again to continue our fire mitigation efforts!
-
A little pricy but super professional and do great work. Had to have some beetle killed pines removed and they did a fast and very thorough job including removing all the branches and needles.

I was away on business when Splintered Forest came, cut and removed several very tall trees from my yard as scheduled. When I came home the yard looked perfect with just the stumps left where the trees had been and no damage or tree waste or evidence that they'd even been there. Perfect job!

They did a fine job taking down the tree, however after I told him NOT to park on my neighbors grass he ignored me til I came back and saw he did anyway. The kid had no social skills or understanding of customer service. I wouldn't use this company again because of the interaction.

Great experience. Arrived timely, provided information requested and did not try and sell unneeded services. Will definitely use them in future for needed services.

Splintered Forest was great to work with for our insurance fire mitigation inspection. The office was responsive and easy to schedule with, and the forester was knowledgeable and did a great job working with us on the property.

Steve came out to do a fire mitigation inspection. He was very generous with his time and knowledge. He explained things patiently and thoroughly. His expertise and love of forestry and nature was clearly evident. And his pricing is better than the competition's.

Josh came by to do a defensible space inspection for a Jefferson County Defensible Space Permit, as a requirement for the replacement of two decks on our property.
He was on time, professional, courteous and personable. He answered our questions and provided background information about the requirements and methods that he used.
Based on our experience with him, we wouldn't hesitate to use Splintered Forest again for other tree needs. -
I am in the Jeffco wildfire overlay district and needed to do some fire mitigation in order to obtain a permit. Splintered Forest sent Josh out to identify the scope of work, and he was amazing to work with. He showed up on time, was super knowledgeable and friendly and identified the exact scope of the project. I had 4 companies bid the job, Splintered Forest being one of them. Three bids came back in approximately the same amount, but Splintered Forest's bid was more than double the other 3 bids!! I called them and mentioned that their bid was 2x higher than all of the other 3 bids I had received. I asked them if they could explain why it was so much higher, thinking maybe it was justified because they were using different or specialized equipment, or whatever. They said they'd look into it and call me back. They never called me back, so I had someone else do the work.

We worked with Josh at Splintered Forest to help us bring our property into compliance with Jefferson County wildfire mitigation rules. The Jefferson County rules are confusing and make it seem like trees should not exist. Josh clarified the intent of the regulations and walked our property with us explaining the risks, how wildfires spread and most importantly explained WHY certain trees were higher risk than others. He marked the trees to be removed and would provide options in cases where 2 of 4 trees might have to be removed and he allowed us to choose which ones.
After we did the mitigation work, Josh came back out and walked the property again to certify that the work was done correctly. It is clear that Josh is passionate about what he does and it is always a pleasure to work with someone who cares so much about what they do.
Working with Kara in the back-office made scheduling and payment a breeze.
Someone else at Splintered Forest provided a quote for performing the mitigation work. The quote was nearly triple the cost of the other 2 quotes I received, so I used a different company for the mitigation work.
Anyway, after this, I believe my house has an increased chance of surviving a wildfire.
