Luminous is a breath of fresh air to work with. Out of multiple companies that I reached out to, they were the most responsive and the most interested in my particular project to ensure I got the right service. Alan was our technician who came out to give us a quote, and he is extremely knowledgeable about what can and cannot be done. Alan was extremely helpful in mapping out different approaches to the project to ensure we found the best fit. He was able to answer any question that I could think of, and was extremely respectful and patient. I would recommend luminous to anyone in the greater Denver area looking to get electrical work done.

EDIT: I wanted to update my review now that the work has been completed. Alan was right on time to the appointment, and shortly after Matt arrived with the trencher that was needed to complete the underground work. We discussed some improvements to our original approach, and I loved the extra thought and attention that this shows. The team isn’t just handling this as another job, but taking the time to make sure it’s done right.

The job was completed in one day, and came out excellent. Alan and Matt were extremely helpful and very open to explaining things to me along the way, or bringing me out to take a look at any milestone progress. Alan was great in overseeing the project, and Matt was incredibly hard working throughout the day. The two of them knew exactly what to do and worked together so seamlessly. There was no obstacle that they ran into that they couldn’t handle, and I will certainly be hiring the Luminous team again for future electrical work.

Dalton did an excellent installation of my outside GFI outlet. Luminous did give a discount when I raised concern over service fee. Overall the price I feel was fair and reasonable. Phone staff was very courteous and helpful. I am very pleased with the service provided.

Working with Luminous has been an excellent experience. We have had a fair amount of work done by them, from ambiguous repairs on our home (half the outlets didn't work when we moved in, Luminous diagnosed and fixed them all for a very reasonable price), to installing an EV level 2 charger, to quoting us for turning our unfinished studio space into a proper live-in suite.

Communication with them has always been easy, every tech who has come out (we've worked with three or four different techs at this point) has been knowledgable, pleasant, and gone above and beyond the ask to meet our needs.

Dalton Carter, a tech with Luminous, stopped by today and gave us more than our fair share of his time, working with us on every question and imagining with our studio. His advice was grounded, specific, and actionable with bite sized step suggestions along the way as our budget is not limitless.

They are an excellent service company and deserving of the 5 star rating.

I needed some outdoor plugs replaced that were 30 years old. Alan was the tech from Luminous and he did an outstanding job. Alan was very professional and he made some suggestions and recommendations on what my options were. The work was done fast and looked great. Attached is a pictur one of the outlets installed. I signed up previously for the Safety & Savings plan so service fee was waived. I’ll be be getting new ceiling fans and some more electrical work done in the near future. Also, great communication throughout the whole process.

Sandbox Solar is definitely the way to go if you’re considering installing solar. Everyone I interacted with was kind, knowledgeable, and really helped make the process seamless. Efa was an absolute gem with some scheduling complications I had, Calvin and the installation crew were wonderful, going above and beyond for me…. even in cold December weather, and Tyler the electrician was easy to work with getting the inspection completed and passed. It's impressive as a company that they keep all the work in house and they all really seem to enjoy working with Sandbox. It feels good to support a company who does great work and clearly has happy employees. I would definitely recommend Sandbox! I wish working with all contractors was this easy and well done!

The entire process with Sandbox Solar was excellent. From the design, to signing the contract, to permitting, to installation to the final inspection and the ultimate sign-off from my utility company. Start to finish from signing the contract to grid-tied solar took about 2 months to the day. A few weeks of that timing was waiting on the utility company.

The solar installation is very clean looking and their team was considerate of my requests for minimizing external conduit and panel location. It is actually quite difficult for me to even get a photo of the solar array. It is only barley visible from the ground anywhere.

If I ever move somewhere local and get another solar array, you better believe I will be using Sandbox Solar again!

What a great team! We had solar panels installed by Sandbox Solar more than a year ago and are happy with the results. Planning, installation, and follow up were all done professionally—the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable and the whole process went smoothly. Definitely recommend!

This is a bit of an unusual review, as it's not for the company's services, so take it as you will. I'm frequently at Home Depot in the mornings when a lot of pros are there. This morning a group from Sandbox Solar was there and multiple times I saw them make the courteous choice vs the fastest choice, even though it might have delayed them a bit. Many pros throw their carts wherever, cut people off, etc. I get that time is money and not everyone can make the choices and survive. But this morning I saw three different groups of Sandbox Solar guys delay their day by 30 or 40 seconds and return their carts, walk to the crosswalk to cross, thank the cashier, etc. All small acts, but unusual enough for that time of day at Home Depot that I noticed. Thanks for being good guys!

Great price through the Broomfield COOP, great follow through and answers to questions. Everything went ahead of schedule. Installation to xcel turning on went great. Only 1 small issue and they resolved the same day! Thank you to Justin, Efa, Charles, and Sam at Sandbox Solar

Charles and Purple team did a fine job of getting our panels mounted and prepped for electrical. They got here early, had the right tools and equipment and worked non stop. It was Christmas eve! Thanks

My solar system just went live with our electrical Coop. I had first contracted with echo mark solar who informed me three months later that the county would not issue a permit to place solar on my metal out building as I did not want panels on my house. They told me I would have to tear down and rebuild the entire building. In comes Sandbox. Not only did they install 29 solar panels on my metal building, they did so at half the cost that Echo Mark was going to charge me. Funny thing, the county issued a permit and it passed all inspections. Sandbox not only did a great job with my solar, they also installed a sub electrical panel at no additional cost when it was discovered that the new panel they had to place had less breaker space than the old one. Tells you all you need to know about Echo Mark and everything you want to know about Sandbox. I highly recommend Sandbox. Go with the smaller local guys

We had a great experience with Sandbox Solar. Once supply chain issues were solved (not their fault!), they moved quickly to get our project up and running. Professional, friendly, and great workmanship - on all levels, from the office staff to the installers, electricians, etc. They even coordinated closely with our excavation contractor, so we didn't have to have a lot of back & forth between crews.

Sandbox Solar was amazing to work with throughout the whole process from initial sales pitch to final installation and inspection. The panels look great and they have provided great support after the system was turned on.

Sandbox Solar did a fantastic job installing a customized 27 kWh system for our home in the Boulder - Longmont Area. Having purchased solar for a previous residence, we knew exactly what we wanted and were looking for a company with the expertise to develop an especially large, hyper-optimized array for a reasonable price. We contacted several companies, but Sandbox Solar’s bid was the best. Now our array is fully engaged, and I must say, we are impressed with every aspect of our system from the design and engineering, to the construction (thank you Charles!), electrical work, and of course the performance of our batteries and panels. Service at Sandbox is so friendly, responsive and professional that we’re sad our project is done. Great job, Sandbox!

This is a wonderful company to work with. All the work is in-house, the sales staff is knowledgeable and informative, and the process is pressure free. They are more than competitive in price. You will not be paying for giant infrastructure and stock market performance.

The engineering docs for the job is professional and the permit process through to completion is seamless.

The equipment they use is state of the art and is currently providing more than estimates! The Enphase Enlighten app is informative.

Installation crew is fantastic! No mess inside or out. They painted (with my paint) any external conduit, which was minimal.

They installed interconnect wiring in the attic to provide a clean aesthetic to the installation.

This is not a giant, publicly traded company. They are community driven and local in Fort Collins.

After many sales sessions with other companies, I felt Sandbox Solar would not only provide a quality solution, but they would be there during and after the process. I was not wrong.

If you are thinking solar (with the new 30% tax credit) this is the place. After doing the calcs on costs, a system now costs the same or less monthly than what electricity costs from Xcel energy. Future rate increases not included. Take a load off the grid! Also RENU in Colorado is a thing.

So thankful to have discovered Sandbox Solar! This company was fun to work with, attentive and so professional through the whole process. Justin answered all our questions and was thorough during the design work, Efa was so kind and responsive managing the project, and Charles was superb installing the system and a pleasure to talk to! I recommend Sandbox Solar to anyone looking for solar.

Had the absolute best experience with our HVAC technician, RUSLE (or was it ROSSIL? RUSSLE? We may never know 😄). Whatever his real name is, this guy was awesome! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and had me laughing within minutes — which is not something you usually say about an HVAC visit!

He was professional, explained everything clearly, and most importantly… he wore his booties in the house! 🙌 That might seem small, but to homeowners, that’s a big deal. It shows so much respect for our space and floors, and I appreciated it more than he probably knows.
