Got estimates from big box stores, they sent contractors to inspect and give an estimate. Felt like I was at the used car lot being sold a Cadillac.
Called a trusted mechanical company and was referred to Great Western. Called to schedule an appointment and was treated like a real person not a sale. They gave me a reasonable quote, hundreds less than the box store contractor for a commercial grade heater.
James came the next day and installed the water heater without a hitch and at the quoted price. Again I was treated like a real person with respect and honesty.
I have already scheduled more work with them to do.
Can’t say enough nice things about Great Western.

My experience with Greater Western Plumbing has been very favorable. They were responsive in providing a quote for services to replace my water heater and gave me several options. The technician that installed the water heater was professional and efficient. Probably no one is happy to have to replace a water heater, but if it needs doing, I recommend contacting this company. Greater Northern Plumbing was great to deal with. I had some questions prior to the job and their scheduler was able to have a knowledgeable person call me to talk it over.

The job was quick, only about 30mins. Since they bill for an hour minimum, the technician stayed and helped me troubleshoot my humidifier that still wasn’t working after we restored water to the unit. He helped me with a temporary solution and I ordered the parts for a permanent fix and will fix myself.

Great Western Plumbing was able to provide same day service after our water heater failed. My call was promptly answered, all questions were answered, and I was provided total cost of project up front. The technician arrived within two hours of call with our new heater. The install took approximately 3 1/2 hours. Technician was courteous and kept the work area clean. All systems were checked before his departure. I would highly recommend Great Western Plumbing based on my experience. I will definitely use them for any future problems that may arise.

Returned home from vacation to a broken water heater. Called Mike @ Greater Western and he suggested calling technical support at AO Smith first. Their technical support people were very good but the issue I was having wasn't in their list of possible solutions for the error code I was getting. Almost purchased a new gas value @ $525 but decided to call Greater Western back to have them test the value first. Justin arrived and just wouldn't give up trying to figure out what was causing the valve not to open. Turned out to be a clogged combustion chamber and exhaust manifold; the value wasn't seeing enough negative pressure to open. A few minutes disconnecting things and two shop vac (one pushing and one pulling) and bam! back in business with zero spent on parts! I would definitely recommend Greater Western; honest, professional, money well spent!

Water heater wasn't working, tried to relight the pilot myself, failed so I left a message via google at 0100. They called back at 0645 and were at my house fixing the issue at 0900. Very prompt, and professional everything is working great now. Up front pricing and very communicative. Will use them for any future work possible! Highly Recommend them!

Mike & Dave were great - super responsive and came next day! Dave answered any questions and was very professional, doing a great job! I had several random items addressed: a saddle valve for a whole house humidifier replaced with a 1/4 ball valve, new plumbing/drain for a sink in a utility closet, a shutoff for outdoor garden hose bibs and a supply line for brewing beer. Price was VERY competitive, and service was outstanding. Can't recommend these guys enough!

Man, I I met Patrick and the boys a great western. I was dealing with a major sewer break on my drain system. Typically you call out a plumber. They diagnose it give you a big number to fix it and you call it a day , unfortunately, I had four plumbing companies out and they couldn’t even figure it out🤦🏽‍♂️ , Called up great Western. They sent Patrick out. (Go Packers) In about two hours, he successfully diagnosed what the issue was came up with the proposal, providing me financing on the spot The next day, the whole crew came out got everything else taken care of the city inspector who inspected. It said it was the cleanest job they’ve seen in a while. Patrick really appreciate the help bud I have not found my Plumber. Thanks again.!!!

Dustin and team are the most honest and high quality of any plumber I've used. My first experience was a few years ago when Greater Western came in to fix a DISASTER job that Master Blaster Plumbing left us with (M.B. ripped us off and left a freaking disaster in our finished basement - huge holes in walls, entire basement covered in fine plaster dust, drooping PEX running outside of finished plaster wall, ridiculous). Greater Western re-did all of the work in copper, inside the walls, and it was magnificent.

Recently I had them install a tankless water heater and again they did a great job. They are professional, clean, and completely fair and honest on the cost. We noticed that the exhaust had a natural gas (unburned) smell 11 months later and they came out under their labor warranty to adjust the combustion. Now the unit is working so well!
