In August we had Grey Rock give our landscaping a face lift. We wanted a more zen like design and feel. We had a plan and they executed it! We have been updating and we're waiting to post our review and photos once we could really showcase the amazing job the did. Dakota and his crew (Justin, Logan, Mark. Erin. Cierra. Thomas, Kyle and many others!) all were amazing. We would highly recommend them!

Grey Rock was wonderful to work with! Cierra, Thomas and the rest of the team made sure to communicate my entire project from start the finish. Thomas made sure to call me prior to their arrival to communicate everything they were going to do AND followed up with me the day after the project was complete on how it went, what could be better, any questions I had, etc. They answered any questions I had and were very patient, did the job well and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any landscape work done and/or drainage - which ours was! Dakota and friends at Grey Rock Landscape are some of the best people I have ever worked with! Pricing is legit and the quality of work shows. Hands down the best group of landscapers I’ve ever used. They take the time to figure your exact wants and needs, talk through and draw out plans and execute to a caliber that you just can’t do yourself. I would one hundred percent recommend all day!

Great experience all around with Grey Rock. We brought them a design for hardscape upgrades addressing drainage and fire mitigation, and we’re very happy with the result. Communication was clear and reliable, and there were no delays. The crews were easy to work with and very willing to problem-solve or adjust the plan as things evolved. They brought good ideas and collaborated smoothly with my designer. We will call them again when we get to planning the vegetation in phase two.

I am an immensely pleased client of Grey Rock Landscape and Construction. Here are some of the many reasons why:
+ to kick off the project - replacing a gravel driveway, solving a drainage/erosion problem on the side of my home, adding planters to, and improving the condition of, my xeric front yard - I met with Dakota who patiently and creatively walked through all aspects of my project.
+ I thought I needed a very expensive French drain to resolve my drainage/erosion issue but Dakota assured me that I did not and a much less expensive solution was available. That was my first sign of Dakota’s integrity.
+ After our initial meeting I was promptly provided with a thorough proposal and all of my questions about the same were addressed very quickly. Prompt communications occurred throughout the entire project and not just in order to acquire my signature to the proposal.
+ Dakota provided me with creative and practical suggestions for my project. His experience was evident.
+ Dakota patiently walked me through the rock yard to view colors, sizes, and shape possibilities. I heavily relied on his experience with color mixing and sizing for my existing yard and driveway.
+ I was provided with a few addresses in order to view past projects. At one address the homeowner was outside and I explained why I was stalking her yard; the homeowner sung praises for Grey Rock and mentioned that they were in the early stages of hiring them for a second project.
+ One day before the work started, Dakota, the on-site project manager Thomas, and I walked through the job description/expectations. Thomas, like Dakota, exuded professionalism while being very warm, friendly and experienced.
+ The work was completed in one day! A crew of four led by Logan started the day and throughout the day several more crew members dropped by to assist.
+ all of the crew members were respectful and considerate and extremely focused on the job.
+ after I paid in full, I did have a small reservation about the improvements made to the xeric yard. Dakota and Thomas immediately addressed the situation and arranged for resolution that was addressed within two business day.
+ based on Grey Rock’s integrity, experience, creative ideas and that they were a joy to work with, I will be engaging them for a patio improvement project next year.

I recently hired Grey Rock Landscape and Construction to assist with a paver patio project and am so pleased with the results. The team at Grey Rock was incredibly supportive of my request to be involved in the process and complete part of the work myself--in my experience, it’s very rare to find a company that is so accommodating. I cleared the patio area, and the Grey Rock team carefully surveyed it and ensured there was a proper slope away from my house foundation, which is crucial for effective drainage and the long-term integrity of any patio. The crew then expertly set the paver base, providing a solid and level foundation for the patio work to come. Once the base was prepared, I was able to lay the paver bricks myself, just as I had wanted, and then worked with the Grey Rock team to lock in the design with poly sand. Grey Rock Landscaping’s attention to detail and willingness to collaborate made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Communication throughout the project was excellent; they immediately responded to questions, provided great recommendations, and kept me consistently informed. Their professionalism and flexibility turned what could have been a stressful project into a rewarding experience. I highly recommend Grey Rock Landscaping to anyone looking for quality workmanship, non-stop, hard working team members, and a company that truly values customer input and involvement. Our neighbor used Grey Rock for their recent backyard landscaping project, which turned out very nice, so we decided to also go with Grey Rock for our needed retaining walls and complete patio design. It was a big project which required a combined 160 tons of limestone blocks, flagstone, and crushed asphalt. We had another project during that time to replace our deck, and Thomas worked closely with the deck contractor to coordinate working with and around each other. Our completed project looks great and will provide us many years of use and enjoyment. It was a pleasure working with Dakota, Thomas, Logan, crew, and staff, and we look forward to some potential future projects. We had a small yard project in a 55+ community. Grey Rock did a very professional job, and we were very pleased with the results. They are very organized, and they communicated effectively so we knew what to expect. It is nice to have a local small business that works to please their customers and that has the staff who backs that promise up. We highly recommend them.

Every step from requesting an estimate through contracting and construction was seamless. All of the team members we worked with were extremely professional and communication about timing and cost were clear. We had a smaller job but the Grey Rock team treated it like any other size job. We worked to make the best stone selections together. We are incredibly happy with our patio and the Grey Rock team. Highly recommend!

Grey Rock did a great job on my turf install!! Worked through the snow which allowed the project to be completed on time, even though i thought they should have waited!! Beckett and his crew; Luis, Joel, Julian, and Luis were very polite and helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. When they were finished everything was cleaned up like they weren't even there. Grey Rock wasn't the cheapest but the warranty and reviews were the best out there. Highly recommend them for any work you may need!!
