If you are looking for a cheap but poor quality basement or kitchen remodel that is not completed as promised, then Brother's is the company for you. They did not finish my kitchen remodel job. In addition, they damaged cabinets and wood floors that they installed.

Jim and his crew did an excellent job finishing our basement. Jim took a lot of time up front to come up with a creative solution for our awkward basement layout. It was much better than what any of the other contractors came up with. Jim was very helpful throughout construction. If you aren't too particular with all of the little details if your basement, then Brothers Construction is definitely the top choice. If you are more particular about the little details, I'd still recommend Brothers Construction, but you'll just want to be sure you communicate clearly and stay on top of things. Anytime there was any miscommunication, Jim went out of his way to make it right. I liked working with him so much that I recommended Brothers Construction to my neighbor who also used them for their basement remodel.

Brothers did a great job finishing our basement. They were thoughtful with their suggestions and design choices to make the most of our space. Some things dragged out a bit near the end of the project but I believe some of that was inspector related. Would use them again in the future.

We originally went with another contractor for our basement remodel. After the other contractor abandoned the project and stole our money the Hathaways came in and took over. They verified what parts of the work that had already been built were salvageable and finished the job on time and at the price quoted. They have also helped us find quality plumbers etc. when we have had other issues and really appreciate their expertise and connections in the construction community. Would 100% use them again in the future for other remodels!

We had Brothers finish 2/3 (~1200 sq ft.) of our basement, including two bedrooms, full bathroom, multipurpose room, and wet bar. They always listened to and addressed our concerns as the project progressed. We are happy with the end result and feel they provided good value.

We had a fabulous experience w/ Brothers! The work progressed at a professional pace with subs showing up when scheduled; had only one hiccup (carpet) but was resolved easily & efficiently. All subs were respectful, cleaned up after themselves and obviously had a lot of respect for Jim.

We hired Brothers construction to finish the unfinished basement of a house we bought in a short sale back in the recession. The basement was a neglected 1500 sq foot concrete floor with exposed pipes, wires, etc. Working with them was like waving a magic wand and having our dreams come true. They walked us through the process, discussed with us at length what we wanted, and gave us a timeline and budget. They drew up a blueprint and floor plan and told us the process would be “turn key,” meaning, they’d take the lead through the whole thing. They finished on time, on budget and gave us the basement of our dreams! They are an absolute pleasure to work with: friendly, courteous, filled with good humor, and just wonderful people. We just cannot recommend them highly enough!

Nice finished project. Like all home improvements, it took some extra steps to get it all done, but Brothers Construction did a nice job and we're pleased with our results. I'd recommend them for anyone looking to get their basement finished.
