We have never been able to properly cool the upstairs of our house. When Chris was here servicing our HVAC system we talked about the problem and he gave me a quote to install a mini split system for the upstairs. Old system was out of freon and two generations past compliance. Got a local quote to replace condenser coils and retro fit w new freon.
Called Legacy Heating & Air for a 2nd opinion. They put in a new compressor and replaced condenser coils for slightly more than the previous repair quote. Three options were explained and no pressure to select our pick. Chris completed the job alone in less than a day, waited an hour checking temperature and pressure, meanwhile offered thorough instructions on using new unit. He also added a new thermostat at no charge.

We recently hired Christopher to design and install a ducted mini-split system on our main floor. We previously had a ducted evaporative cooler (not very effective on humid days) and a boiler system for heating (expensive to run). Christopher advised on an energy efficient ducted mini-split that could handle heating and cooling, with an automatic cutover to our backup boiler system when the outdoor temperature got low enough that it was more efficient to run. The result has been a much more comfortable living space AND we saved over $100 last month on our heating bill compared to when we just ran the boiler. Christopher also helped us identify rebates and tax credits that made this project incredibly cost effective to do.
