Nick and his team are extremely friendly and hardworking. The quality of their curbing is awesome. They seal the concrete making it last longer. The past couple years we’ve had very wet weather making things difficult for landscapers and putting many of them behind. Be patient, the quality of the work is worth the wait. This is now our second home using Earthscape Curb and Mulch. No more grass trimming!

We had concrete edging put around our house and had them add rock to our existing landscaping beds. We couldn't be happier with the job - so professional, very nice and the entire crew made sure we were happy before they left. They worked well together and answered every question we had. They clearly know what they are doing and our landscaping looks just fantastic. They helped us with colors, told us what to expect and when they would be arriving to do the work.

We recently had Nick come out for a quote on curbing. He was very thorough with his explanation of the project, helped me with ideas for some curbing and was eager to work with me. His crew was here the next day to install the curbing. It went in quickly with the touch ups and gravel installation the following day. When presented with the bill, I was shocked to see the very reasonable price! Nick, Max and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to others and will hire them for any future landscaping projects.

Extremely poor on responsiveness. During the months of March and April, we have tried contacting them on multiple occasions about starting the landscaping via emails and phone calls. It was in the month of May when they finally replied and wanted to go over the layout. Nick came and we reviewed the layout with him and he said that he was going to get his crew and start working the following week. But no one showed up.

No one showed up until the month of June and and we were on vacation so no one was home to help with position and location of plants. Landscaping and seeding of grass was finish but all was left was to install a watering system to help grass growth. Unfortunately, they again stopped responding to our emails and calls about the watering system. This went on for about a month and as you know the grass hasn't been watered. Weeds have also grown too. Nick finally replies and gets a watering system out here and ensured us that the lawn is ok. Sure enough if you look closely, there’s grass. But most of what you see is crabgrass. Our lawn is littered with crabgrass and Nick says they can fix it. Mow the lawn and we’ll have our people come by. 2 weeks later, no one showed up and no reply from when we followed up.

So the whole landscaping project from start to finish lasted 5 months and is still ongoing. Although the landscaping is good, I could only give this company 1 stars based on the responsiveness, crabgrass with patchy lawn with other weeds and poor project scope. I don't know if they are trying to avoid redoing work instead of coming onsite to discuss the situation because they know crabgrass will die in the winter.

I would advise anyone that wants a well done lawn, to go with Windsor Lawn. Earthscape is extremely poor about communication and business.

When we made the decision to replace our plastic landscape edging with concrete, our first step was to find a contractor. A quick Google search yielded a number of prospects in the Madison area, one of them Earthscape Curb & Mulch. I filled out their online form requesting a free quotation for the project. Within 5 minutes I had a phone call from Nick, and within 30 minutes he was at my house preparing a quote. Nick spent a lot of time with me discussing our options and different alternatives. We also visited his shop to see for ourselves the styles of curbing he had to offer. Ultimately, we decided on installing about 500 feet of curbing as well as a stamped concrete walkway from our patio to our arbor. When installation day arrived, I was astounded at the level of activity around my yard. Nick’s entire crew was on site, working in groups on different parts of the project. They worked like a well-oiled machine. But what struck me most was that they seemed to really be enjoying their work. Throughout the project Nick and his guys were quick to contact me if they had any questions, and kept me informed of their progress as they went. The finished project is much better than I could have imagined (and that’s coming from a guy who’s very picky about his yard). I’d highly recommend Nick and his crew for any landscaping projects you have.

Nick and his team at Earthscape Curb & Mulch LLC were a pleasure to work with on our patio installation. They were easy to communicate with, very friendly, and their work was top-notch. Their knowledge and expertise really shone through. Highly recommended!

I reached out to Earthscape to get a quote and my heart set on getting this work done. Being that it is the busy season we understood the work would be about a month out but really wanted it installed ASAP in order to continue with spring landscaping projects. To our surprise we received a call from Earthscape the next day and they were able to fit us in to the schedule after hours. To be honest this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor and would recommend Earthscape to anyone for concrete curbing. Thank you and we are extremely happy with the service and the curbing! 👍🏾. 5 Stars!

Horrible communication & customer service. Only number the company is for the owner, Nick. He never returns phone calls. Left 4 messages regarding a job that he didn’t complete, never heard back. Gave us a quote for concrete curbing, mulch and design for flower beds & trees. Had a crew come out and plant two trees and install curbing. The guys out here that day were fabulous, polite, hard workers. Curbing looks good. Nick didn’t reply to emails regarding a few of my concerns, but emailed the same day asking for payment & never provided the receipt for said payment. Curbing was installed but they never came back to seal it. We were told 7-9 days after the install they would seal the curbing, wouldn’t reply to emails when this hadn't been completed 16 days later. Still not completed and he never came back to install plants/shrubs. Mulch they did supply is horrible- not shredded, huge chunks, resembles free mulch the city gives out. Had to replace with better mulch at our own cost even after I paid for the mulch from their company. We used Curb Appeal (another concrete curbing company) at our other house & were thrilled- should have used them again. Buyers remorse. Stay clear of Earthscapes unless you want a headache and a job not completed.

Nick and his team have done a stellar job keeping our landscaping looking great. We've hired them to extend some drain spouts, help shore up a failing retaining wall, and install mulch/stone (about 12 yards). The crew always does a great job for us and we appreciate their service!

We had an overall great experience with Earthscapes! Very pleased with their work and they were extremely accommodating! Nick was super knowledgeable and great to work with - he made the experience easy. Nick and crew worked hard to get our landscaping in so we will have a nice lawn in spring. Only thing I will note, is they said they would put up sprinklers for a couple weeks but never came back to put them up. They did come and water our plants and seal the concrete edging - honestly it wasn’t super dry and it rained a decent amount, not sure they were even necessary. We are still very happy with them and would recommend them highly!

Amazing Work!! We are very pleased with our concrete edging it is exactly what we wanted and was done sooner than we thought. The crew was so efficient and it was truly amazing how quickly they got the job done.

I contacted Nick from EarthScapes to give us a quote to expand our current curbing around our new larger Deck. He was very responsive on the phone and said he would be to the house in less than 45 minutes as he was working just down the street. He showed up 45 minutes late but seemed very engaged in the conversation, had great ideas and explained how the process would work. I was suppose to get a quote that night which didn’t happen. A week later I called numerous time but only got voice mail so I sent a text to verify he had my correct email. No response. A week later, I sent another message letting him know that if I don’t receive a response I will assume he is not interested in our business. To date I have not heard anything.
This company installed curbing around the entire house and all beds throughout our yard many many years ago and wanted to use them for consistency plus they’re a local company. This would have been a sure sale for Nick as I didn’t have plans to look an anyone else.

In retrospect after reading all of the reviews I’m glad he didn’t call back or I would be dealing with all the issues so many others have dealt with.

Earthscape did an amazing job with our curbing; we love it. They were timely to schedule the project, and came back two weeks later to seal. Their staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

I can’t speak to the quality of his work because he never did it…. He gave me a quote and agreed to work via email along with a rough completion date. He pushed the date back a few times and then I never heard from him. Doesn’t pick up phone and email responses are delayed if you get one. If he was too busy or my curbing wasn’t something he wanted to do then he shouldn’t have agreed to it. I ultimately used Captain Curbing who beat his price and did it a week later.

short version: Overall poor communication. Poor customer service. Disrespectful of my time and property.

longer version: Nick was quick to come out and check out my project. He seemed like a down to earth guy. I was hoping my experience would be good and that I could find a landscaper to work with on my entire yard over the next few years. Unfortunately, my experience with Earthscape was poor.

    Pros
-Out of the 5 contractors I reached out to, Nick was one of 2 that contacted me back and the only one that said they had time to take my job.
-He emailed me an unofficial estimate same day.

    Cons
-the work took over a month with little communication of what was happening on their end. I do not believe this work should have taken this long. The scope of work changed and I accept that the project was unpredictable, but communication was the BIGGEST PROBLEM. After the first day or two, communication was pretty difficult. Nick would not respond for days in any format. When he did respond he would skirt around issues I'd brought up. Sometimes after many days of not hearing back each time, it took me stating that I would end our business relationship to get Nick to respond. This happened twice. The last time this happened I text and left a voicemail. Nick responded hours later via email. Nick did tell me in this email exchange that he was taking his time and doing my job whenever he wanted because he wasn't making much of a profit on it. This made me feel unimportant as a customer.
-I did not get the official estimate/contract until 30 minutes before he arrived to start the work. I ended up missing a change from the original emailed estimate because it was rushed.
-Nick's team damaged multiple things while working at my house.
-Nick and the team did not show up when they said they would pretty much every time during this project. They were always late or didn't show. Additionally, they were never here for long each time they were here to do work.

The first time we used Earthscapes they were ok - nice job just did not show when they said and had to call, kind of like they forgot us. This time we had a much bigger job including redoing a retaining wall that we felt was settling- they started it and it looked worse- I stopped them and made them redo it. He said it would cost more because they would have to go down to the base -we said we wanted it done correctly. About six months later it was separating. We contacted Nick and he said let’s give it some time but not to worry he would not leave us hanging. Well, we contacted him and he has left us hanging- he does return our calls or messages. Oh, we kept asking “how much more will this cost us and he kept replying not much” and the final cost was around 5 grand more than the original estimate. Dummy us paid it all. What is our next step? Communication is poor. Buyer Beware.

Erin L’s review is the exact experience we are having! Nick was very quick to come see and promise but did not and has not completed the job!! It’s been over a month. He does not respond. Do NOT waste your time and money with this service. Plants damaged, concrete cracked and NOT yet sealed after they said they would in two weeks time. Communication is the biggest problem without a doubt. He is deceptive and clearly willing to take advantage. DO NOT write any checks until the job is completed. If he asks why you aren’t willing to put down a deposit until completed project…just refer to this review. It takes a certain type of human to treat his neighbors this way for his own personal gain.

Very pleased with Earthscape. Had Nick do curbing at our previous house. Had him do curbing, install landscape fabric and put rocks in our current house. Also had them pour concrete for our walkout. Will definitely hire them again. For people who complain about not getting back in a timely manner. I've used several small contractors and that is the norm. They are doing the work as well as managing the business.

I couldn't be more pleased with the end result of the curbing that was installed today around my house and shop. The employees were professional, friendly and very hard working. They worked like a well-oiled machine- each one knew their job and completed the job in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who want to improve the look of their home. Very impressed with the whole process.

Very satisfied with quality of work and timeliness/responsiveness of Andre’s. The patio and fire pit exceeded expectations!
