We highly recommend Prater Concrete. They did a great job on our 18x13 patio extension and walkway around the back of our house. They did exactly what we wanted and are very skilled at their craft. We didn’t have to worry about a hot concrete load because they have their own concrete truck that mixes the concrete on site! Will hire again for more work in the future.

Prayer concrete did a patio extension for us. I give them 4.5 stars. The only reason it’s not a 5 is the communication in the beginning wasn’t that great. It seemed hard to get in contact with them. But that was partly my fault because I went through Facebook and didn’t have an actual number at first. But once I realized they were super busy it made sense. After I got a number for them it went very smooth. The actual project that they did is 5 stars! They came and had it finished within a couple hours. The workers were really nice and didn’t mind my kids asking a 1000 questions about what they were doing. Amber was really nice and sociable and helped us a lot with all of our questions. She made sure we were satisfied and also gave us recommendations for other projects we wanted done. The pricing was amazing! They helped us a lot. I would definitely recommend them.

Prater concrete was a delight to work with. They are responsive and easily available. We had an existing patio (concrete) demoed and a new patio (380 square feet) poured, stamped and stained. The job was completed in 2 days with the use of several professional crew members. They cleaned up after themselves, had everything they needed at the job site, and did their 200% despite a very humid hot Texas summer day.

Prayer Concrete came to our home assessed project we wanted. They set us up for start date and came out when they said. Everything was done in such a professional set up. Our job was delayed only because of us The Homeowners we couldn't get a quick enough city inspection. After all was approved, the beautiful circle driveway was completed.

I live in West Plano and recently built a new patio and roof last month. I must admit that Ryan Prater and his team is amazing. They built a large stamped concrete patio for us. Amazingly beautiful. They finished the work in 3 days from start to finish. I strongly recommend Prater Concrete. We are so happy and satisfied that our Patio contractor recommended Praters Concrete to us. Right from the word go Amber , Ryan and his team impressed us on every steps of the process from quote estimate till the finish . They created a beautiful stamped concrete in our backyard as well as front pavement. Ryan's crew is extremely hard working , friendly and professional. They know their job so well. Ryan works as if he is working on his own home project, taking interest in minute details. He fixed some stuff for us on his own which was not related to concrete. Put an extra border with darker color which involved some extra work (which was not in our estimate) and that made it look so great. The work was done in time within 2 days and now we are enjoying our backyard like never before .

Wow! What a difference a week can make! Amber gave us a quote on Friday for a beautiful 625 sq ft stamped and colored patio for our backyard. She helped us design the perfect color and pattern combination to compliment our outside brick and house design. We loved her suggestions. By Tuesday, a crew was moving the sprinklers and constructing the forms. And we were asked to give input on both. We tweaked the final shape just a little bit and the crew happily complied. They wanted to make sure the final design was just what we had envisioned. By that afternoon they were pouring concrete. The next afternoon they came by to add the final trim color and sealant. We were amazed how quickly our vision had become a reality. We highly recommend Prater Concrete for their attention to detail, design guidance, friendliness and professionalism. They did great work and were very reasonably priced.

Prater concrete did an approximately 500 square foot extension / overlay of my patio. From contacting them for a quote to finishing the job they were extremely professional, friendly and efficient. When Amber arrived to quote she listened to what I was looking for and made several very thoughtful suggestions to improve my idea. Prater Concrete offered the most services of any other quotation and were the lowest priced. Their work was outstanding and are now the only concrete company I'll call.

They exceeded our expectations for our project. Amber (owner) helped us completely customize our project. It truly is a “wow” factor. The entire crew was super hands on and finished our project in 2 days! Family owned and operated so they care about their work. Could not say one bad thing about our experience!! ITS THAT GOOD!

Good - Price.
Good - Concrete product and finish for my driveway extension is aesthetically pleasing and quality strength and integrated craftsmanship.
Bad - They didn't replace my utility wires back into the ground, or fill up their remaining open ditches with the dirt mounds they left on my lawn. So I had to put 40 feet of my own utility cables back into their edge ditch and refill it with their leftover dirt mounds using my own shovel and labor.
Bad - I messaged the owner asking about the utility cable and open ditches, and he ghosted me with no response.
Bad - They broke my sprinkler system in a few spots, but when I discovered it they attempted to repair the sprinklers.
Bad - They didn't get a city permit or registration to build, so I got a violation letter from the city a few weeks later for building without a permit.

Update Nov 2024 - Prater Concrete lied about "dealing with" the city permit which they never obtained, so I got served with COURT SUMMONS and I had to personally show up to court and pay $500 in court fines, apply for a permit as an individual & pay a permit double-fee of $200.

If you would like to be personally sued by your own city and forced to show up to court to represent yourself, then Prater Concrete can make that a reality for you.

Amber came the same day we called her and gave us very good consultation and very good price. She arranged the crew to come do the job within a few days.

By the end, they gave us cheaper price without us asking. And the work they did looks great!

Surely we will reach her again for more work!

We used Prater concrete as they were referred to us by another company and we are SO glad we went with them! From start to finish they have been so professional and on time.
