My 4.5 year old LG fridge began to run all the time and not maintain low temperatures so LG covered it (surprisingly) under a 5 year warranty on the compressor and connected me with Boston Joe's to fix it. Boston Joe's knew this problem well and had spare parts on hand to fix it but couldn't help until 2 days later when LG passed off a warranty repair authorization to Joe's via some electronic process - a website portal for a LG repair providers. I had to call LG 3 times before they were able to get this repair order to Joe's before Joe's could help me and this was the most frustrating thing and that is on LG (not Joe's). Joe's has one tech who does all the fridge/compressor work named Joe (but he is not the owner for Boston Joe's) that showed up on time with a second tech in training. Joe was fantastic! Very polite, explained the repair and showed me where a pinhole in the fridge cooling element allowed coolant to escape from the closed system causing it to run longer/harder eventually causing the compressor to get tired and (eventually) fail. He gave me a bunch of tips on things to do with the fridge, what to look out for to verify the repair was effective, etc. Overall a great experience once Joe was at my place and the repair went smoothly. Initially I was wary of all the low reviews (on YELP mostly) of Joe's but I can say that I had a very positive experience and was just fortunate for LG to cover this under warranty.

Joe S came out and was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose our washing machines problem and have it resolved in one trip.

My freezer is on a warranty for repairs and maintenance. Boston Joe’s sent out a technician to repair my freezer a month ago. At that time he informed me that he ordered parts for my freezer and as soon as they came in I would be called to set up a time for the repair. He left with my freezer in working condition. The technician returned yesterday. Anthony Champ called each time he was coming to service my freezer a head of time. I really appreciated this because I was able to empty everything out of the freezer before he arrived. Anthony was always on time, very professional, polite and let me tell you he knows his job. He always cleaned up after his repair. Anthony Champ is surely an asset to the company.

Terrible company. Zero accountability for the company and there staff. Missed 2 appointment windows in the same week without a phone. Technician was scheduled to be by before 1pm, shows at 330. No phone call. I call the office and they try to say the appointment window was until 5pm. I also called that morning to confirm and the lady in the office (a useless, incompetent human. ) said the tech would there by 12. They all lie. Never use this place. the woman answering the phones will hang up on you for any reason, will not try and resolve a single thing. They will never admit to being wrong and as most good companies do, they should own it. UPDATE!…it has now taken a year and a half for the company to respond to my original review. And to the owner, if you say manners can go a long way, I could also say the same to you for the lack of accountability and professionalism that was displayed over the phone. Also speaking of professionalism, you say missing time windows happen however if a client is taking the time off of there job to be where YOU need them, then show a little courtesy and contact them. Don’t try to save face by writing a response to my review over a year and a half later cause you had another bad experience with a client.

We purchased an LG range in February 2022 and recently realized our stove was off 100°+ degrees on all settings. We were assigned Joe’s to look at the stove and fix the issue. We had an appointment set up, and no one showed up on the appointment date. We rescheduled the appointment, which was cancelled by them, however, they showed up anyway. When I called to talk to customer service, I explained that I work during the day and my husband works nights. Due to our schedules, I need a set appointment date and time to be able to accommodate the service. I was told that my husband should be more accommodating if we want the repair done (when he gets home from work and goes to sleep, it is 8am and they don’t see an issue with showing up at 11am with little to no notice) I explained we can accommodate them but we need a scheduled date and time, but the best they can give us is an 8 hour window. They also suggested I leave work “for a half hour” to cater to them. This company’s scheduling is terrible and they have no respect for anyone except themselves. They ask their customers to accommodate them, but cannot return the favor as they do not even show up for their scheduled appointments. I will be calling LG to request a different repair company as I do not want to deal with them, especially after reading reviews similar to my negative experience.
