Bahler Brothers is a great, local company to consider for high quality home improvement projects at affordable rates. We have contracted twice with them, five years ago for our backyard patio and then last summer for an expansion of that patio and surrounding landscaping including lighting and gardening. We loved the results and thoroughly enjoyed the process. Jenn was creative and patient designing and fitting the most value within our budget while hitting all the wants. The building crew was polite, professional, timely and hardworking just like the first time around. And Byron did a phenomenal job with the landscaping and finish of the project. At a time when the price of home improvement projects has skyrocketed and dealing with contractors has become a pain, Bahler Brothers stands as a family business of good people serving the community in South Windsor and beyond. We have a list of wants for the next round sometime in the future and will always come back as a trusted, honest and quality craftsmanship provider. Highly recommended!

Sam, Dan & Dave were excellent as usual. This is the 4th time we've used Bahler Bros. and we'll be coming back to them for for our next project. Bahler Brothers did an awesome job on our outdoor kitchen. We had a vision in mind and they found exactly what we needed to make it happen. Installation was extremely well done and all of their staff was professional and friendly and helpful at every step in the process.

Bahler brothers recently restored our patio and front walk and repaired stone steps- work done was very professional and looks beautiful, what a difference from before and after. Also was given good instructions on how to properly maintain patio and walkway. Very pleasant and great job done!

We went with Bahler Brothers for the patio around our pool and are very happy with the decision. They were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The designer Jen was fantastic and went above and beyond when we had a sudden time crunch. We had one small issue with the original construction when it came time to put the fence in, and Bahler took care of it the very next day.

I recently had a boulder retaining wall installed. It is more beautiful than I dreamed. John Ryder suggested this after I never even considered when my wood timber wall needed replacement. Everyone else gave me ideas of concrete blocks. The creative use of a boulder wall was exactly what I was visualizing. The attentiveness and personalized service was top knotch. Staff who installed were experienced, professional, and hard working. I cannot say enough positive things about the company.

It was truly a pleasure working with the entire Bahler Brothers staff designing and building our patio project. Every person that we worked with (whether over the phone or in person) was courteous and professional. The job was estimated to take anywhere between 10-14 days to complete and it was done on time. At the end of each day, the crew left the site as organized and tidied up as it possibly could be. If we had any questions throughout, someone contacted us the same or next day with the answers we were looking for. The materials used for the project are of the highest quality and the final product came out even better than we expected. If you're looking to get patio work done or any type of service Bahler Brothers provides, we highly recommend them.

Sam and his team Dan,Dave and Tristan did an excellent job rejuvenating a 20 year old patio. Got many compliments that I got a new patio but it’s the Bahler brothers work and skill that brought it back to life.
Sams team also resolved a water issue I had and the drainage has improved significantly by using a certain base material. I would recommend Bahler Brothers without hesitation for anyone considering redoing a patio.

I have utilized Bahler Brothers for installation and maintenance of a patio and driveway/front walk. They have always been easy to work with and have consistently done a great job with both maintenance and service, most recently in renewing the driveway joints with polymeric sand.

We hired Bahler Brothers to replace a patio and to put pavers around out rebuilt pool. In every step of the process they were professional and willing to do what it took to get the job done correctly They finished the jb when they said they would and we can.t be happier with how it came out. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants an excellent job done at a reasonable price and excellent workmanship done professionally.

Bahler Brothers designed and installed a new front entryway for us in 2021, including steps, landings, and landscape lighting, plus a permeable driveaway apron at our garage. The previous entryway was over 25 years old and badly in need of an update. We were very pleased with the work that was done, which involved removal of the old timber and concrete steps, adding needed drainage under the new entryway and garage driveway apron, and lawn repair and grading after the work was completed. Everyone from the Bahler Brothers team was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Any questions or concerns that arose during the project were handled promptly and satisfactorily. Caleb and his crew did an outstanding job during the project, and they were very dedicated to their work. Caleb spent hours working in the rain one afternoon to fix an area where torrential rains the night before washed away much of the soil and grass seed they had just planted around the steps – he went above and beyond!

We had the driveway apron and pavers sealed in 2022 as part of the maintenance plan, and our front entryway continues to look fantastic. The landscape lighting was something that we hadn’t considered before, and it is one of our favorite aspects of the work completed by Bahler Brothers. We highly recommend them for outdoor design and installation projects.

We worked with Bahler Brothers to create our dream backyard which included a heated Soake Pool, a 400+sqft patio and a gas fireplace. From the beginning Tom was great to work with regarding design and choosing our materials. Josh and his team were hard working and efficient. We absolutely love our Soake pool and are so excited to enjoy it year around. The reason for 4 stars is regarding our budget. We gave them an “all in” budget and they designed an outdoor area to reflect that. In the contract it stated there would be additional costs such as propane and plumbing, we didn’t expect anything too significant because it wasn’t mentioned and we weren’t given an estimate/heads up after we gave our budget. The additional costs exceeded $15,000 above the budget we planned for and spoke about. We’re incredibly happy with our new outdoor space and would still highly recommend Bahler brothers however I think it should be noted that we ended up paying $15,000 more than we expected.

My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with the beautiful patio, with stairs and landings leading from our house, which Bahler just finished for us. The job not just met expectations, but exceeded them. We both know we will love being able to come outside and enjoy this wonderful setting for the rest of our lives (although we have a lot of landscaping still to do-which we will do ourselves). From the design guidance given us by Jen, the careful preparation of the site by Lloyd, Mitch and Cory’s build of the crucial foundation, Juan, Angel and Santos’s hard work on the precise layout of bluestone pavers on both the patio and the landings, to Patricks’s painstaking work on the veneer made with real stone, it all came together so beautifully! We are very glad we hired Bahler, and wish everyone involved continued success. Although still a ways from completion, with the landscaping still very much on the table, posting a few photos this first week. Thank you so much to Josh, and the Bahler Brothers team! Andy and Sue

I had Bahler Brothers redo our front walkway this past month, as the pavers had heaved in areas over the 22 years it was in place. The completed the job of cleaning the pavers, removing, leveling the bed as needed and reinstalling them in a couple of days. The results look great, very happy with the outcome, and the onsite crew. Great company to work with!

My husband and I were thrilled with Bahler Brothers and the work they did in our back yard. The process started by meeting with Ryan several times to design the space. I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and rayan made it come to life. When I asked him to “MacDaddy” my ideas he didn’t disappoint. His suggestions made our backyard next level. It was a pleasure to have the building crew in our backyard for so many weeks. Mitch and the gang were so respectful and impeccable with their work. Mitch had some design ideas that I hadn’t thought of which made for the functioning of the space to be perfect. Josh and his crew didn’t leave until everything was done just perfectly. I highly recommend working with the BB team.

We were thoroughly surprised at the customer service! We had a worrisome problem with staining on our 4 year old concrete paver patio. Even though Bahler Brothers hadn't installed it, they offered to send someone out to troubleshoot it. Sam and Dave came out to our home- not once but twice -to diagnose the issue and suggest remedies. AT NO CHARGE! Remarkable in these days and times.

My husband started with Bahler brothers two years ago. Up until then, we never realized what the possibilities of our backyard could be. Ryan did a 3-D Image of what we had in mind. I still did not believe my backyard could look like that. Juan and his paver crew were here every day for a solid week, as well as Patrick building our field stone walls. The work they produced was meticulous. I could not be happier with the quality of work and the attention to detail. All their hard work was followed up by John and his landscaping crew to put the finishing touches on our project. The pictures don’t even do it justice! We are now the envy of all of our friends who say they feel like they’re at a resort when they are at our house. Josh and the Bahler Family put out high quality work and I could not be happier!!

We decided in the late Spring of 2025 to add a pool in our yard. by that May we had picked the pool company and all of the elements of the pool and pool system. However, we needed quite a bit of landscaping to reshape our yard, plan and install the deck surrounding our pool, and make sure that the drainage solutions we desired were correctly implemented. We hired a landscape architect to make exact plans. In June, we began searching for the right company to handle our project needs for the landscaping and deck. our pool company recommended Bahler Brothers and Josh Bahler came up to meet us. From the first meeting we were impressed with his energy, his knowledge, his humility, and his enthusiasm for getting our project done just the way we wanted it. We signed a fixed price contract for the decking we picked with Josh's help and for a retaining wall we needed built. We could not sign a fixed price contract for the landscaping and drainage work we needed done so we agreed to have that work done on a time and materials basis. From late July through August Bahler Brothers had teams here working on our project. Each of their employees was friendly, expert in his/her tasks, eager to get things done just right and timely in their work. The end result was spectacular; beyond anything we, our family, an our friends had ever seen or imagined. After the work was complete, Josh Bahler called to make sure that everything was done right and to our satisfaction. Only when assured that we were 100% satisfied did we receive a bill. It was extremely fair and frankly for less than we had expected. Weeks later, after we had paid the bill in full, a small drainage problem popped up after a deluge caused by a heavy rainstorm. We let Josh know and he was on site within hours to suggest and make a slight tweak in the drainage plans our landscape architect had made. The problem was solved, and no further bill was received. I highly recommend Bahler Brothers. They are the epitome of excellent craftsmen whose pride in their craft is really inspiring. Fred Fierst, Florence, MA
