It's difficult to find a company today that you could refer to as: The salt of the earth. You know the good ol' fashion type that cares about the client and gives really great service! Many of my neighbors have had them for their needs too. Lovely, knowledgeable and helpful staff! My technician "Chris" was exceptional. Look no further. I give them 10 booms on my dynamite scale! Great job...!

TJ installed a water heater back in 2020. The guys who installed were in and out, process was flawless and the communication was professional and prompt. Price was more than fair. Unfortunately the water heater failed yesterday, 4mos after manufacture date warranty. One phone call to TJ and he had all the documentation in my inbox showing the install was in January as a result was still under warranty. We installed the new water heater was installed last night. TJ was instrumental to through this process. Im thankful he was so organized! You cannot ask more from a contractor. Incredible!

TJ of WBDickenson is an outstanding example of a true professional. His company and his crew tore down my two bathrooms in my two bedroom rental at the Hampshire House in West Hartford and did a fabulous job renovating them. His staff is meticulous, hard working, and aim to complete each aspect of the multitude of jobs that it takes to renovate old and falling-apart bathrooms in a 65 year old building on Farmington Ave..
Because TJ is an experienced plumber himself, he is able to problem-solve any challenges as they present themselves and offers great ideas to make the remodel affordable, updated, and beautiful. I hope I have the opportunity to work with WB Dickenson in the future. As a former teacher, I would definitely give this company and crew an A+!

The bathtub/shower that I had when I moved in began to peel the paint off. It was very disappointing given that it had looked new when I bought my condo just a year before. It turned out that when we got a quote for repairs, it had been a patch job and just repainted over. I was lucky enough to find this company and get a decent quote for a large walk-in shower. We didn't want a tub anyway. We had to match all the black that was already here, which was done beautifully. The job was done in a timely manner between plumbing and carpentry, too. We only were without a shower for a short time. TJ was super nice and helpful and didn't waste any time. It came out just the way we wanted, and we have loved it. I highly recommend this place for all your needs. They will take good care of you.

Called the emergency line on Super Bowl Sunday in a full panic because my tenants basement was leaking water. TJ took the time to Facetime me, helped me figure out exactly what the issue was, and didn’t even charge me.

Super knowledgeable, calm, and genuinely helpful when I really needed it. Hard to find people like that anymore. Will 100% be using them again and recommending them to anyone who needs a plumber.

WB Dickerson was great to work with. They handled a major sewer line issue for our property and were responsive and
professional throughout, even working through Thanksgiving week. The owner was on site, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain the issue and the solution. Communication was solid, and the crew worked efficiently to get things moving as quickly as possible.

We hired W.B. Dickenson to expand a half bath into a full bathroom. The project management is very efficient and the crew is professional and easy to work with. TJ is responsible and realistic about the estimate. The overall quality of their work is very good.

Excellent company, expert service. I had a major heating system issue, and they came out very quickly, diagnosed and repaired the problem, and were very reasonably priced. I have used this company before, and have always been completely satisfied. They are really great, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

The heating service was some 6 months ago. It's mid March 2026 now, and I just had my hot water heater replaced. I called and they came and did the replacement the next day. Again, they provided excellent service and work, and got the work done fast, without any problems. I rate them A+++ or 10 out of 10 stars.

Scott was amazing to work with! When our washer valve was leaking, he returned my call promptly and was the only one who offered to come out to take a look instead of brushing me off with a dispatch fee just for an estimate. He was knowledgeable and friendly (and as a bonus got along with my German Shepherd!) and explained all the components of the job in simple layman terms. He does his work with care and we are very happy with the results!

My heat stopped working on the coldest day in 5 years. Scott answered my call before 8 in the morning on a Saturday. He was there within an hour and got the heat working even though parts were hard to get. He even fixed a safety issue that I was not aware of.

Simply amazing. In a day when many companies SAY that they care and put the customer first? Colony Plumbing "walks their talk." My boiler wasn't acting right and there wasn't any heat in our house - and we have two young children. I called two other "major family business" local companies, at 9am in the morning, one of which had serviced our house in the past.....including delivering oil to us on more than one occasion. Unfortunately for us, even in this emergency situation, I was told by the first "family business," that "someone would get back to me that day, as they had many appointments already..." (they didn't get back to me until the next day in the afternoon????) The second company said they also were too busy, and this is the company that we had our oil delivered from, but that they could refer ANOTHER company to us. I called that company, only to be told that THEY were too busy but they'd try and would give us a call back - which hasn't happened at the time of this writing. Well....I didn't know what to do. I let Colony Plumbing know my situation and Scott (the owner) and his daughter Sarah, came RIGHT OUT to our home. They not only got our boiler going again but told us what caused the problem and how to correct it going forward. Two hours later Scott called me, to check in to make sure that our heat was going and to ensure that our house was warming up. Now ALL of THAT is making sure that a customer is "completely satisfied," and taken care of - as if we were his own family. I can't recommend Colony enough, especially as a sales person myself. I will only be using Colony in the future for my family's plumbing and heating needs. The ONLY negative? Is that THEY don't deliver oil (smile)! Thanks Colony!

Scott had an attitude with me as soon as he realized there wasn’t a man home. Immediately tried to upsell me on a whole tub system when I specifically called him for a quote on a diverter repair. Scoffed at only being hired for actual plumbing work and not remodeling. Had to be asked to leave and left huffing and puffing. If you are a woman seeking an estimate from this guy best advice would be to have your husband home like it’s the 1950s. Yuck.

I called Colony in an emergency when my furnace stopped working in the really cold weather and they came out right away, even though it was after 4pm. Scott diagnosed the problem, found the part in Hartford, ran into Hartford to pick it up and came back and installed the new part. The furnace works great again. I have used Colony Plumbing for a while and they have always gone above-and-beyond to get the job done. His apprentice, Sarah was also with him and she was helpful in getting the job done quickly.

Best Plumber in CT. I called this guy and he came out the next day to fix my well pump and put in a sediment filter. The new pump works great and he set the water pressure. The water tastes much better as well(pun intended). He also gave a fare price unlike most plumbers who overcharge or want top price and they've only been in the business 1-2 years. Experience is everything. He does clean work and cares about what it looks like and makes sure all pipes are secure. 5 stars to this hard worker. 2/4/2020
