I've known Steve Rozmus for about twenty years and have always got excellent service from his crew. Once recently, Steve did the work!! Along with minor jobs, they installed two gas furnaces in a rental of mine, replacing oil. They had the best quote, but I would have chosen them as long as they were close.

They are simply the best. They came early and fully diagnosed the problem and then made sure that they completed it successfully. The technician was friendly and shared all of the information necessary for me to understand what he was doing.

Excellent customer service, always on time with fair pricing. And last but most importantly highly skilled plumbing staff for gas boilers.

I received 3 quotes and SDR was the best, very prompt, courteous with their quote, start date and information about my options. SDR Plumbing installed a washer/dryer in our co-op apartment. There were many rules/regulations involving this installation, but SDR followed these rules and regulations. We can't thank Joe B. of SDR enough for keeping us informed on all installation activity. Additionally, Joe alwa;ys called to let us know when they were coming so we would be prepared. The workers were meticulous about cleaning up each day as well. I would absolutely recommend SDR for any and all plumbing projects anyone would be considering.

Difficult and very obtuse electrical wiring problem had my gas boiler pumping heat when the thermostat was actually turned off. SDR technician worked the problem until he found where the thermostat wiring was incorrect. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

I was looking to schedule an emergency water heater repair as soon as possible and they were able to provide a next day appointment. Then when something opened up, they actually ended up being able to send someone the same day in order to fix the problem. It was small issue but had it fixed very quickly and efficiently and were very professional. Highly recommended.

We had a new tankless heater put in our house. The workers did a great job ,they were very professional. They removed our old boiler and furnace. They did a great job on putting our new tankless heater in. We would highly recommend SDR plumbing for your home. They got the job done in a timely manner and everything looks and works great.

I hired SDR today to fix a pesky leak that I previously had 2 handymen look at (to no avail). Within minutes John had identified the problem and was fast to work. The service was friendly, professional, efficient and when completed I was left confident in the repair.

The person who came to do this job did a great job. They were able to fix both of our faucets. However, I originally called to receive a quote for how much it would cost for the two faucets to be fixed. I also sent pictures of the items and described the issues. When I called to ask someone to come to my location and give me a quote I was told it was unnecessary and that they pay a standard price per hour. I understood but would have liked a ballpark in price. The man on the phone assured me that it would take between 1-1.5 hours as they were both easy jobs, and ballparked around $160-$280. I stated that I would really like a quote just to confirm that price. They again assured me it was not necessary. Turns out, it would have been greatly necessary as it ended up being closer to 4 times that amount they stated. And they only confirm the price with you after all the works been done! Despite the quality work, the unprofessionalism from the front office is absolutely absurd and would not recommend anyone doing business with them.

I'm a new customer and delighted with the work done by SDR. I'd had a problem with banging pipes and no heat every fall which needed my former plumber's help to bleed the system and get everything going. Last week Joe reconfigured the pipes and put in new, state-of-the-art equipment that solved the problems. Everything works perfectly now! I should have called SDR Plumbing and Heating to come fix things years ago.

Last Monday I called SDR again because the hot water heater had sprung a leak and was flooding the garage. They responded immediately and by that afternoon Mike and Santo had installed a beautiful new tank and cleaned up the old mess. I was very happy with the excellent service SDR provided.

Beware- $160 for quick estimate and expect weeks of phone calls to get them to come back.

I contacted this company for a hot water issue in my home. Unfortunately, the experience was not great. I explained the issue to a gentleman who asked me to email a picture of my hot water heater. I sent this but no response. When I called back, they placed me on an “on call” list, even though I had asked for an appointment, as they said it would be quicker. They never came or called. The following week I called again and got an appointment finally.

I asked about the fee structure and was told they could do the work at the time and charge $160 for the first hour and $160/hr in 15 minutes increments thereafter. The man who came was in a hurry- they had clearly not allotted any time to spend at my home- he was just there to take a look. He diagnosed one issue (cartridge in the shower) within a few minutes. I re-explained all the issues again to him as clearly no one had communicated despite my many phone calls. He agreed another shower and the hot water heater needed servicing as well. They weren’t prepared at all. He promptly left- he was there for a total of 14 minutes.

Ten days later, I got a bill for $160 dollars- still no resolution to my problems or follow up appointment or any communication outside of the bill. It’s been three weeks and I’m still exactly where I started, having had to make many phone calls to chase them down. My bad for not realizing I should have just chosen another company.

When I called today to ask whether the $160 bill would also extend to cover the first 45 minutes of work when they returned, they were very rude to me. I was yelled and told they would hang up on me even though I was polite. They told me I was ridiculous and “what did I want??”. I told them a five minute drive by estimate shouldn’t be $160 dollars, but I was happy to pay for the time they did spend. I was just honestly surprised as they told me that fee it would cover the first hour they spent there. Unfortunately, they clearly came with the intention of being there for no more than a few minutes. It would have been more honest to tell me it would be a brief estimate costing $160.

I am hoping this helps someone. To be clear, they may be excellent plumbers. I just don’t know that their communication, crazy expensive estimates, and their terrible attitude on the phone is worth it. Lesson learned.

The guys and front desk at SDR are superior! They have the technical understanding to efficiently execute addressing a problem.
From the first time they came some years ago to emergently replace our leaking hot water heater, to replacing faucets, reconstructing old shower plumbing, to more run of the mill stuff, they've been helping us out with professionalism and friendliness! I highly recommend this company!

My 20+ year old gas boiler got red tagged last spring so I called Steve at SDR as he had done such a nice job installing a Peerless a few years back. He suggested that we go with a Lochinvar system which provides instant on heat and hot water, amazing. The installation was done in a timely fashion, the crew were so professional and tidy it was like they were never in the house. The installation itself looks like a pipe organ in a church, and works even more reliably. I recommend SDR for any kind of plumbing issue from the simplest to the most complex, they do it all!

Before moving into our home we had a laundry list of items to fix from our home inspection. SDR was able to take on every challenge and through constant clear communication kept us in the loop for all the repairs and upgrades. Every staff member we worked with, whether onsite, on the phone, email or text was friendly, knowledgeable and went the extra mile for us. We are enjoying every shower, kitchen sink wash and flush in our home thanks to SDR. A special shout out to Maverick for his push at the end of the year to get everything in tip top shape for our move.

There is almost no HVAC chore that SDR has not performed for me. They've installed new air handlers and compressors, installed 7 new thermostats, fixed leaks and backups and installed new cartridges on umpteen faucets...They're kind of amazing. I have always been impressed with their technicians who are professional and pleasant and actually really good educators so I know just how it's supposed to work, why it's not working properly, and what they'll be doing to fix it. I was so impressed this past weekend when there were 2' icicles hanging down from my outdoor spigots...we were nervous about pipe cracks and they tested thoroughly and set our minds at ease! Great Company.
