Called to get a quote on gutter installation. It was found using web search and theit website list gutters as work they perform. They said they would call back in a couple of days to set an appointment for a quote. A couple of days later they called and said sorry we only do gutter installation on homes with roofs they installed. I wish they would have told me up front and saved me a lot of time.

Scheduled the roof install quickly, completed in only 2 days on a huge ranch style home & it looks great! Thank you for outstanding the service.

Didn't show up day they were scheduled, which was a Friday. Instead came on Saturday, which ruined plans I had for that day. Wrong color gutters installed, salesman said he'd be there to supervise, never showed up. Lied to me when I asked if crew was in house or subcontracted. Had to come back 2 different times to fix poor quality of work. Would never consider calling this company again for work, and I tell everyone who asks for recommendations to stay away from this place!

Thanks to Michael for making the whole process simple and prompt. Crew was on time and completed in one day just as promised. Extremely windy that day and workers cleaned up everything even down the street !! So many compliments and have recommended to neighbors who have already signed to have their roof done too. Worked with Keaton on estimating project cost and thru project completion. Keaton was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable from start to finish. He understood my expectations and planned project to align. Highly recommend Keaton and the company for roof replacement and/or other projects.

WMR came to our rescue 10 years ago when a hail storm caused us to completely re-roof the house. This past year, as winter was approaching, a strong wind storm ripped a section of roof off our house. I called Anthony Costelloe at WMR and he had a team come out right away and temporarily patch our roof, preventing any damage inside our home. As soon as it was safe to finish the repairs, Anthony's team was out and did a great job.

Michael was great to work with, very knowledgeable and explained everything. The day of construction, the crew was there right one time, and were able to finish faster than was quoted. The roof looks great, and neighbors have been giving me compliments on it.

The work is subbed out so you're at the mercy of the crews when it comes to schedule. The roofing crew was phenomenal. The siding crew was a week late, only worked 4 days/week and left before 3 each day. Overall the roofing and siding look fantastic but if I would caution anyone who has a schedule to stick to.

I had a few issues with the salesman Alec who mislead me about multiple things while selling me a new roof and siding. First of all, he stated that the work on my house would be done within 2-3 weeks, but it took 4 months. This buisness subcontracts all of their work and they seemed to be very unorganized. Another issue was the fact that we agreed on a 5% discount for paying with cash/check instead of credit card, but when the work was completed that was not honored. There were also some overage charges for wood that needed to be replaced during the project. The company changed the charges 4 times, from $800 to $2400 to $1100 to $550 which are some drastically different prices. Not sure where they got their figures because when I asked for a break down of the extra costs in writing (labor, supplies, etc) the owner Bob refused to provide it. In the end I paid the extra costs without a legit bill for my records and no 5% discount. These all seem like very shady buisness practices and weird that they wouldn't just itemize the overages. It made me feel like they were picking numbers out of mid air to see what I would pay instead of justifying what I actually owed. Aside from those things, the roofing and siding subcontractors did good work from what I can tell.

After reaching out to several roofing companies in the area, and speaking with Edward of the Comstock Park office, it became apparent that the attention to detail and the attention to the needs of the customer made West Michigan Roofing the easy choice for my roofing project. Edward stayed in contact from start to finish, and the crew that completed the job were very courteous and personable. Throughout the process, protecting my home and extensive landscaping were of utmost importance to them, and the most that I could find after cleanup was a business card size piece of old underlayment. Fantastic attention to detail. Great job done by all, and the roof looks great!

During an ice storm a tree fell on our house causing roof and siding damage. Tony worked with us to make sure that all issues were resolved to our satisfaction. He also dealt directly with our home insurance company which made the whole project run smoothly. We had quotes from a number of companies and WMRC was amongst the lowest, but there service was definitely excellent. I would recommend them.

Getting a new roof isn't something you do everyday. It takes research and quoting and ultimately hoping you make the right decision. We chose West Michigan Roofing because we felt Don was open, honest and very committed to our satisfaction with not only a great product but a dedicated crew that was in and out in one day. (Impressed the neighbors!) All follow up questions and concerns were addressed immediately and satisfactorily. Truly great service! Thanks, Don!

Mike with West Michigan Roofing went above and beyond to make sure that we were extremely comfortable with such a large investment when we needed a new roof. No one WANTS to spend the money on a new roof, but when you need it, you need it now! The entire process was extremely quick and efficient. Mike originally quoted us a two day process due to the steepness of our roof, but we were pleasantly surprised when the job was done in a single day. With a full tear off, we did not expect that. Everything was cleaned up very well and we found less debris than expected once the crew waa gone. I can not recommend West Michigan Roofing enough, to the point that my sister, my father (90 miles north in Cadillac) and his neighbor all have used West Michigan Roofing from my recommendation and are all extremelt happy

My husband and chose this company to replace our roof several years ago. It has been a very poor experience from the start. The company does not call when they need to reschedule and shows up whenever they please with no communication. They do not return phone calls and do not share what work was completed when doing repairs. We paid for a high quality roofing materials as our house had a roof that was currently leaking. After replacing the entire roof the leak continued and after many phone calls and repairs it was finally fixed a year later. We currently have another leak due to an improperly place vent that is causing a leak on our back porch windows. Yet again they were scheduled and did not show up to complete the job. We constantly have to call to find out when the job will be completed. Still waiting for a call back and we are currently in the process of trying to sell our home, making this all the more frustrating.

Replacing a roof is a major project, not to mention expensive, so it’s a good idea to learn as much as possible about roofing, how roofing companies work, get recommendations, and obtain several bids before making a decision.

The roof on my small 1950s bungalow was showing its age and had a few leaks over the years so it needed replacement. I decided early on that I wanted to go with a local company with an established record of quality work and offered a good warranty. This criteria eliminated a lot of roofers, and I narrowed my choices to three companies that had solid reputations in the community.

All the companies I contacted had good reputations and recommendations, and the bids came in about the same. But I chose West Michigan Roofing, and recommend you do too.

Edward, the Grand Rapids branch manager, did a thorough inspection of my roof and provided an in depth explanation of the process, the how and why of the materials that go under the shingles, installation, the shingles themselves, their crews, and warranty options. He did his homework before our appointment, arriving (on time) with overhead photos of my house and identifying areas of concern. It was a lot of information – some might say too much -- but it gave me confidence West Michigan Roofing would do a great job and stand by its work. They also offered a wider choice and quality of shingles than the other companies I contacted.

Having a roof torn off and replaced is disruptive in the best of circumstances, but especially when you have a shared driveway as I do. My neighbors report that Dale, the supervisor and the work crew were conscientious and polite (I was at work while they were there). It turned into a two day job as the crew discovered there were three, not two, layers of shingles on the house. Yet the crew cleaned up at the end of the first work day, and when I came home at the end of the second day the only way you’d know they were there, other than the beautiful new roof, was the dumpster in the driveway. They also did a good job of protecting perennials and other plantings in my front yard.

It hasn’t rained (or snowed—it’s June, after all!) since the roof was installed, but I can’t imagine that there will be any problems with the roof. And in the unlikely event there are, I know West Michigan Roofing will stand by their work. I encourage you to contact them when you need to replace your roof. You won’t be sorry.

We are located in Sparta, MI. So far we had a great experience with West Michigan Roofing and working with Jeff Alexander. The roof looks great, but more importantly hasn't given us any issues since install. Jeff took the time to come out multiple times to show us all available options and give us a quote that also worked with our budget which we appreciated.

1.) Timing: Reasonably punctual from initial consultation to crew showing up, and efficiency in completion.
2.) Professionalism: The initial inspection, thorough product explanation/ knowledge, Felt comfortable with the entire staff from A-Z.
3.) Product Choice & Warranty: Thorough explanation and we actually received a registered warranty from the manufacturer!!!
4.) Finished Job: WOW!!!!! They went above & beyond our expectations. We find ourselves being pretty particular and hard to please at times, although our grading may be based on a sliding scale.. Our experience is more than words can express. We still get plenty of compliments from Friends, Family, & Neighbors.

I cannot speak to the craftsmanship of this company as I have not had them work on my home. I do know that I am not impressed with their punctuality, however. I had a quote scheduled for today at 5PM at the house I am buying and let West Michigan Roofing know that I would be meeting them there as I had not moved yet. They did not show. The customer service lady was respectful, but could not give me any answers as to where her team was or why they were late. Will take some thorough impressing for me to consider them again.
