Got a roof replacement from Essential Construction, everything about the experience was great. I received an honest quote, the work was done very efficiently, the team was very respectable and cleaned up after themselves well. I had no cleanup after the work was done. Shingle quality is fantastic. I have no complaints. It was a great decision to choose Essential Construction. If you want to work with an honest local business, this is your choice.

Essential Construction is the BEST. The owner Jose is an angel and came in clutch for us in a time of need. Not only did he make it to the jobsite in a timely manner his price was GREAT for the work that needed to be done. Jose is so pleasant to deal with. I would recommend him to everyone!!! Replaced original front door, patio slider, and custom picture window. Extremely pleased with the service from start to finish. Absolute professionalism from the service technicians. Our 4 year-old was super excited to have the "workers" in his house and they were great interacting with him and making him feel "helpful". Will definitely consider when we are ready to replace the remaining windows in the house. Would recommend to anyone! Thank You!

James and Zach came out today and installed our window and did a very efficient and fast job.

Eric came right over the same day i called to take measurements on my windows. Then i received the quote including all options. I chose the Great Lakes triple pane insulated eco window. Price and quality was excellent. Then Zack and James did an excellent job installing my windows. They were excellent and very proffessional. Their attention to detail was great. They took their time to be sure everything was done correctly. I would definitely highly recommend Vanderlaan. My windows look great!!!!

My experience is only from getting a consult with Dave and I was very impressed. We went over what I thought was an issue, he mentioned the best way to move forward. I’m very impressed and I will go to this company with improvements in the future.

We purchased new windows from Dave. He is very confident and knowledgeable about their products. Dan and Jaron were our installers and they did a very nice job. They were courteous, professional and respectful of our home. We were completely satisfied.

James and Zach were punctual, courteous and explained what they had done and made sure we were happy with the product. James allowed us input as to the interior molding finish we preferred . They made sure we knew how to operate the new windows before leaving. Awesome experience!

We just installed new windows in our whole house. They exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Everyone was professional, polite and kind from the first estimate to the installation. We shopped around for windows and Vanderlaan was VERY competitively priced. We were very impressed with Eric when he came to do the estimate, and ultimately that’s what solidified us choosing them. Recently had Vander Laan Home Improvements replace part of my home gutter system that was damaged during a tree removal. Their team did a fantastic job and at a very reasonable price. The replacement section they installed matches the rest of the gutter system perfectly and it looks amazing. Vander Laan continues to be a reliable and trustworthy service provider for our Hudsonville community. 👍

Had a slider door replacement done today by James and Jaron. They did a fantastic job, were professional and courteous, plus showed up early and ready to get started. Would highly recommend both of them and Vander Laan if you need some work done. I was very impressed and happy with the new door.

VanderLaan Home improvements just completed the residing on my 125 plus year old Cottage. They did the work on a very difficult site which required them to work 20 to 30 ft above the ground on a steep hillside most of the time. They did such an excellent job covering up many construction modifications and age-related blemishes which resulted in our cottage now looking like new. Scott, Cameron and his crew were a pleasure to work with. and and went out of their way to please us. They also cleaned up the site each day in case we had an opportunity to rent the cottage. They are very good at what they do and very reasonably priced for the quality of their work. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for home improvement expertise.

Our experience with Vanderlaan was steller, from Eric Grassmid who gave the estimate to James and Zach who worked hard to give us a quality patio door. {Vanderlaan can be very proud of their installation crew}The only problem with giving a great review is it may increase the wait time for future customers! It is not often that you find a company that honors their word all the way through the process.

New bay window panels installed. Windows arrived a month early and they were available to install the next day.

Had Vanderlaan replace some flashing on my front entry door, replace a door going into my back yard, and replace some rotted wood underneath the door they were replacing. James did an excellent job! During the install, James had noticed a problem with the original plan. Instead of just proceeding with the plan, he hit the pause button to re-evaluate the situation, and came up with a good solution after consulting Vanderlaan staff. Compared to other contractors I have worked with, James seemed to take exceptional pride in his work. He checked in with me through the install process to make sure I was good with the progress. I am very pleased with how the door install turned out.
