I've used VanderLaan several times over the years for home improvement projects including door replacement, installing a new window, fixing siding and replacing old shutters. I'm always very pleased with their work and professionalism. Dan and his crew worked on several of my projects and did a fantastic job! I highly recommend VanderLaan.

Scott and Cameron worked on several repairs on our home over the course of a few weeks. They did a fabulous job! Very detail oriented, professional and very knowledgeable. They kept us aware of things we needed to know, cleaned up at the end of each day and the house looked beautiful when they were done. Highly recommend and will use them again for any future repairs!

Dan and Jeron did a great job with our Alside replacement windows! Our cottage had 50 year-old windows with some sils rotted. They replaced them and wrapped them tight with aluminum. Very professional! If you need new windows I highly recommend Vander Laan!

Vanderlaan Home Improvement did an amazing job on my roof. Dave was helpful in picking out the shingles and did a very thorough job inspecting the roof ahead of time...He even went into the attic to check it out. When his crew was removing the shingles they found extra layers they weren't expecting but did not try to come to me for more money...They honored their quoted price and even brought in another dumpster to haul everything off. The crew was very prompt (there at 7:30am each day...before sunrise) and worked hard all day. I can't speak to the longevity of the roof and I will say that it snowed the next day so I didn't really get to inspect it yet but I am confident it will look great and perform even better for many years. Zach came to my home to replace an old window and he did an amazing job. He’s not only skilled at his job, he’s also friendly and respectful. He explained the entire process and he also addressed me by name, which in my book is a big plus! I highly recommend VanderLaan Home Improvement and Zach, they will not disappoint!

Had a great experience with Vanderlaan. They quoted replacing four windows for my business, had the best price, communicated well, installed on time. One of the four windows they had ordered for us came in with a small crack, and they came back and replaced it really quickly. The installers were great, very professional, and they took care to not interrupt business while they were working, even parked out of the way. Very happy with them and will use them again in the future!

Vanderlaan’s did a great job from start to finish. Dave narrowed down what our vision of the front door and side lights would end up looking like. The 2 installers (Scott and Cameron?)were polite and very personable. They took the old door and side lights out with minimal mess and installed the new with great efficiency. We had a very good experience with Vanderlaan Home Improvement. Nice local company. The guys kept us updated throughout the day and we look forward to having them back on the next round of windows. We had 7 windows replaced.

We were interested in having windows and doors replaced at our cottage on Stony Lake near New Era. We had a couple of quotes that basically told us they didn't want the work because of the crazy high quotes. I stopped in at VanderLaan and spoke with Joe who set up Dave to take measurements, he provided a quote that we accepted. Dave spent extra time to design a new front door to meet my wife's mid-century modern request as well as matching the original style and design of the existing windows.
The install of the windows and doors and new trim was completed by James, Jason and Zach. These men did an outstanding job! I can honestly say that I will call VanderLaan for any window, door and siding work I might need done in the future.

We had a very positive experience working with VanderLaan Home Improvement on a project to update our barn with metal siding, new windows, and doors. Not only were we happy with how it turned out, but we appreciated the customer service we received from beginning to end. Everyone was easy to work with, highly professional, responsive to questions, paid attention to detail, and responded to inquiries or requested modifications quickly! A big "thank you" to Eric Grassmid for managing the project so well. It was a delight to work with VanderLaan Home Improvement once again.

We had Tyler and Ray manage our water mitigation after a sewage backup in our basement. They were extremely professional, friendly and kept us informed throughout the entire process. Their communication was great and they did a thorough job!

The team at Paul Davis was great to work with. Both John and Kylie were very helpful and responsive relative to the estimation and completion of the repair work on my storm damaged home.

In September of 2023 I had an upstairs bathroom leak water into the lower levels of my house. I called my insurance company who gave me a list of restoration companies that could start the process of getting it dried and repaired. Paul Davis was first on the list so that is when I contacted them. By the time I finished the initial conversation with Paul Davis corporate, a local crew leader (Eric Wheaton) was calling to set up an appointment to mitigate. They came in and tore out the drywall and areas affected by the water and started the dry out process. This took a few days to get everything dry with their fans and humidifiers that were industrial quality. From there I did not here from PD for a few weeks which prompted me to call. An estimator (Kiley Leo) came over the next day to get measurements and start the restoration process. Being a busy time for restoration crews I did not hear from PD for a few weeks after the initial estimate. I called them and got in contact with a project manager (John Price) in November. John had some back and forth with the insurance company over the next couple months but was able to go to bat for me and get the repairs done within the scope of the claim budget. The drywall and painting was done professionally and to a good standard. The carpeting was selected by me and installed by a crew (Sullivans) that was efficient and professional, they helped guide me in moving the furnishings around to get the carpet installed in a timely manner. The carpet in the lower level was professionally cleaned by Thuro Clean (Travis Brenner). Overall the process was professional and efficient. John did an excellent job of keeping me posted on appointments and estimates as the project continued. Even though there was a few discrepancies in the insurance coverage and what the cost of the repairs would be, PD was able to adjust the work to fall into budget. The project finished the third week in January, so about 4.5 months to complete the project. Realistically the days I had to spend at home while they worked was about 10 days. PD was very accommodating to scheduling and kept me posted on what to expect. I would call on them again if I needed their service.

The teams at Paul Davis Restoration are top notch. Travis, Jason, and Mandy have all been amazing to work with. The attention to detail and walking us through the process of restoration is much better than another experience I had. Will always recommend calling Paul Davis for folks with damage to their homes.

I had a back up in my basement September of 2022 . We were in a hotel for a whole year. We didn’t get back in our house until September of 2023.Paul Davis changed the location of my laundry room and told the plumber to send me the bill. I contacted Paul Davis several times explaining that they had made the doorway of the laundry room too small for a washer and dryer to go into but they insisted it was okay. Once they realized I was right they had to relocate the laundry room to another area and now they are trying to make me pay for their mistakes. The paint is already coming off the walls. I bumped the wall with a chair and a deep hole appeared. I notified Paul Davis but they refused to repair it unless I pay them. Paul Davis does terrible work. They stated they could not find a plumber to install our washer and dryer therefore we had to find someone which cost us $985. We were never reimbursed. I definitely would not recommend Paul Davis .

Had some damage to our ceiling drywall as well as water damage to a cabinet. The crew worked on our drywall and did a great job making our house whole again. The folks who repaired our cabinet had attention to detail and we had a great finished product. However we had another project they started on beginning of May. It is now July and we are no further along than when they quoted us in May and we paid them in June. A little disappointed

PDR did a great job restoring our basement family room and a bedroom after a pipe burst and partially flooded both rooms. Kiley was awesome in getting our estimate expedited and John Price was great to work with in coordinating the cleanup and repairs. We appreciate John’s quick response to all of our questions and concerns and ensuring our satisfaction in their work.

Integrity is what first comes to mind. We had such a wonderful experience here from the very beginning. Douglas answered my call. He was amazing. He listened intently to my concerns, and then reached out to their specialists for me. Their specialist, Eric, called me back. He was so kind and informative. He recommended a cleaning agent, walked me through the details of what I needed and how best to manage our situation. 10/10 recommend!!
