We were referred to Alan by a friend and I am glad we went with him. We decided to hire him after getting several quotes and doing our due diligence for an old house with a high roof and some mysterious leaking issues. During our research, Alan invited us out to a job his crew was working on to see the way he works. When we arrived we took noticed real quick the area was clean, they were tearing off the last side of the job and it was being pushed directly to the truck and not directly to the ground.. Many companies will come in a strip your entire roof off to the ground and leave you vulnerable to the possibility of rain. This is especially true in March, April and May. Not Alan - he works one side at a time to keep you dried in which was good as there was the treat of rain during our job. While we were on that job site we could see the synthetic roofing he was using, the way they laid it out and the way the shingles were being tied in. We also noted his crew was hand nailing versus nail gunning. By using this method there is more accuracy as to where the nail goes and less possibility of the nail being shot too far down into the shingle and allowing areas to become susceptible to leaking. He also showed us the shingles he uses. They are not the big box off the shelf type. During our job we interacted with the crew on a daily basis. They showed up on time, they were courteous, answered any questions we had and were all around great guys to have on the property. Alan keeps the same guys on his team and they have been with him for a while which allows them to work as a unit and know what is expected at each step of the job. Is Alan a "polished salesman" like we have all been trained to believe and accept? No. But this should not deter you. He is an honest, hard working man who treats his crew right and has been doing roofing for 30+ years.

After calling several roofing companies, we selected Alan and So glad we did! He has a great crew, great workmanship, and cleaned up. This is new construction with some high roofs. They did a fabulous job. Alan is now my friend and roofer for life. He told me he would come back and roof our shop in a day or two. He is a man of his word. House and shop look great. We have gotten many compliments on the roofs.

Called Mr Townsend to get an estimate for a full shingle replacement. Gave us a great estimate and started work the next week. Mr. Townsend stayed while his men were on the job. He was very nice and very easy to work with. Could not be happier with the finished product or how it was done. I couldn't be more delighted with the new roof completed today - Alan gave us a quote and stuck to it, even though there was unexpected rotten wood to replace and additional materials were needed - he is a man of his word! We no longer have to worry about all the roof leaks we had been chasing with another less capable company. His team did a superb job completing the work quickly and efficiently, in spite of the unreliable weather and extreme heat. The clean up afterwards was very thorough. We had a new roof put on a few years ago when we bought our home it took his crew around a week to complete the job and several nails were left. In the immediate aftermath, a couple of the shingles shifted so we called him back. He promised to come back out the next day. He did not. This went on for 2 weeks and he never came back to fix the shingles. We have now noticed several more shingles have moved and we have called him again. Again, he said he would come out to take a look yesterday. He did not come out and said instead he'd come out today. He did not come today either.

After noticing a leak in the ceiling the night before, I contacted Alan the next morning. I honestly did not think I could find anyone who could schedule time based on the forecast of projected rain. And even though Alan had a tight schedule, he was able to satisfactorily repair the roof in no time. I was so relieved to know that I no longer had to worry about the water dripping from the ceiling causing more water damage. I highly recommend his services.

Alan Townsend did a great job on my roof. Called him on Thursday and he was able to start early on Friday morning. Great crew and very knowledgeable. They worked nonstop till job was done. Nice guy highly recommended!

Mr Townsend was great. I called him earlier in the week about my leaking skylight issue. He told me he would come out on Saturday morning and he did. He was on time. Immediately told me what the problem was and said he could fix it that day. And he did! And the price was reasonable too! Plus he gave me some tips which I will use. I would recommend Alan Townsend Roofing to anyone. He and his crew did an outstanding job on my roof. It's looks great!!;. He was always on time. They clean up every day they work whether they are done or not. They manually hammer nails instead of using a nail gun to keep nails from going all the way thru the shingles and not attaching them to the roof . His prices are very competitive and they do a first class job. He stays on the job while his crew is there to ensure the job meets his high standards. We bought our 1960s home 2 years ago & ended up with storm damage to most of the shingles from the storms in 2020. First day on the job they discovered that whoever re-shingled the roof previously had just layered new over the old. 🤨 #laziness
Mr. Townsend & his men did a great job. He was here each day ensuring the crew had precise direction for the day. He seems to check in personally daily with each crew even when multiple jobs in progress. Very professional & quick to get the job completed correctly. Great experience from initial estimate to handing him the 💲. He keeps his crews busy- they left to start another job when they left our home earlier today. No trace there was ever a crew here. 😁 Greatly appreciate their attention to detail & concise communication.
Supplies were delivered on Monday & the job I thought would surely take most of the week they finished in just 3 days! The crew was on site & boots on the roof working by 8am daily. 👷‍♂️I appreciate that Townsend's crew hammers the nails by hand instead of using nail guns. They repaired the seal around the chimney & replaced the old vent system with updated ridge vents. They added the exterior vents which were missing for the vent systems in each bathroom ceiling. Full replacement of the home roof & also replaced the roof on our well pump enclosure.
We now have a beautiful new roof with only the single layer of new "thunderstorm grey" pattern shingles. Makes me a bit more excited to work on the list of updates we have planned for this old house.

Mr. Townsend replaced my roof in 2020. He and his crew did a nice job. In 2023, I had a leak in the master bedroom during heavy rains. I called Mr Townsend who came exactly when he said he would, immediately found and repaired the problem. The roof itself did not have a problem. The problem was with a flashing around an air conditioner vent. I really appreciate the quick and efficient response I received during this situation.

Mr. Townsend was very professional and had an amazing turn around time. He came out on Monday to give me a quote and was able to complete the repairs on Tuesday morning. Alan Townsend has been GREAT, very professional, on time, and does quality work. He put a new roof on my Mom's house last year. Did all the work in one day for a reasonable price. This year we found a large hole in the roof caused by a falling tree branch. Called him on a Friday and he was there with his crew on Monday morning. I called to have two wind turbines installed on my metal roof. Alan promptly answered the phone and came out the same day for a free estimate. We settled on a day the following week for the work. It rained so Alan advised waiting for two days to allow conditions to improve and dry out. He came two days later with a very nice respectful crew. They worked very expeditiously and did a fine job. It looks very good and is allowing hot air to vent from the attic. He charges a very competitive rate and is dependable and available to work. His customer service was refreshing.

Alan and his team was quick and efficient. I had a leak that needed attention. He had to come out twice but was so nice and courteous and explained everything.
