We’ve tried to get roofers to our house for the past 6 months. I found Alan Townsend online, called him in the morning and he was at our house that very afternoon to give us a reasonable and fair quote to replace our roof. He said he could begin in a week, but he called the next day and said he would be there in the morning which was even better! I appreciated him moving our project up when given the opportunity. They were right on time both mornings and did a fantastic job! Mr. Townsend checked in several times during the day, and he stuck to his quote even when there were unexpected surprises. He was professional, friendly and extremely responsive! His guys worked very hard and did a great job. I’m SO glad I found Alan Townsend and I highly recommend his roofing company!

Very prompt, reasonable, and professional! Within hours of a call, Alan was at my door to inspect the leak. Two days later, it was fixed! Very personable and not an office type of calling situation where you get an office instead of the roofer. Alan handled his business personally and was especially prompt which limited the time I had to be off work!
He was great and we will using his to replace in a few years which he was also very honest about, saying we could get a few more years out of the roof before absolutely needing a replacement.

Excellent roofing job done by Alan Townsend Roofing. Not only did they replace the old roof, but they also repaired problems they found with the roof decking and ridge vent. They did an awesome job cleaning up debris and nails. Polite and professional crew. Fair and honest price. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

My wife contacted Mr. Townsend 12/15/22 around 3pm. Within one hour, he and his crew were at our home checking out the inside, water damage, and then, in cold, windy weather, they got on the roof and determined what caused the leaks. When they left, I had a fair estimate and a time setup for next-day-repairs.
The next day, they arrived on time with all the materials needed, and they completed the repairs for the dollar amount we had agreed to.
I've waited almost a month until we've had a few good rains so I could be honest with this review, even though I got the feeling from Mr. Townsend's crew's work ethic, everything was probably going to turn out fine.
Sure enough, we've had no leaks, and we are completely satisfied with Mr. Alan Townsend's work and his price. By the way, Mr. Townsend was up on the roof in the cold wind working with his crew during the repairs. That meant and says a lot to me.
Also, a week prior to contacting Mr. Townsend, I had called some of the other, seemingly-good, Columbus roof contractors, but after I described what I thought the repair would consist of, I got no replies back - probably because it wasn't considered to be a big-money roof job worthy of their consideration. They need to realize, their lack of concern for this one, small repair job has caused me to put Mr. Townsend at the top of my call list for all of my future roof repairs.

I was truly impressed with Mr. Townsend and his crew! They were quick to come out to give a quote and started the job immediately. They showed up at 7 every morning and worked hard every single day until the roof was complete. It’s nearly impossible to find anyone who does that nowadays. They were really professional, respectful of our property, and Alan was here everyday making sure things ran smoothly. Our new roof looks fantastic! You can definitely see the quality in their work. The crew found a bunch of rotting wood throughout and replaced everything without ever hassling us. He didn’t even charge more for the extra repairs and just told me about it after they were finished. Can’t recommend Alan Townsend and his crew enough. Great local roofer!

Alan Townsend and his work crew did an excellent job replacing my roof. They came each day just after sunrise and worked hard all day. My roof looks so good and with their quality work I feel it will last a very long time! I recommend Alan for roofing for a professional job and reasonable cost.

Alan gave us a very fair estimate for a new rood, and his crew were excellent in being on time, working hard and cleaning up after themselves. Alan was there every day checking on things and keeping us informed. He ended up having to use more decking than he estimated but didn't pass the cost on to us. We appreciated the quality of service and workmanship he and his crew provided! We love our new roof!

I contacted these people based on their website. They were on time to provide the estimate and on time to do the work. I needed a section of the roof replaced due to a leak. I repeated several times that I was concerned about having a patchwork looking roof where the old and new shingles did not match. They did not take a sample of the old shingles and used the calibrated eye and 40 years of experience to match them. It was a perfect match. They replaced the section of roof on a rainy day and had to take a short break for safety reasons but they did a good job of finishing it. They even took the time to clean out some gutters that could not be reached from the ground as a measure of good customer service. They cleaned up the area and made sure I was pleased with the work. An excellent job and strongly recommended.

If you need a roofer, this is the person you should hire. Alan Townsend Roofer did my roofing job in one day. Looks fantastic! He and his crew are top notch! I highly recommend him!

I am in the middle of a major house remodel plus addition and my original roofer did an initial horrible job and there were major leaks. Alan’s crew came by immediately when we called him and did an incredible job on a very challenging slope line. When plumbers came afterwards and made a hole much bigger then the piping he came right away to close up the hole. I would highly recommend him and his crew.

I called Alan for an estimate and he came by the next day, first thing in the morning. Alan was very professional and gave me an estimate right away for removal and replacement, lower than I calculated myself!

My insurance company thinks my roof is older than it actually is, and with lack of evidence, I have been seeking to replace the roof again just to not be stuck with Allstate charging so much.

I had a small leak that I had searched for extensively myself, to no avail. Alan spotted the leak from the roof right away and patched it in seconds. I cannot express how solid this was as he helped me without asking anything in return.

May 23, 2025. Prompt, professional, and quality service. I contacted them for a quote to cut down a tree. Chad came out yesterday to give me a quote and returned with his team this morning to do the job. I will definitely use them again and I recommend them to anyone needing tree removal, general repairs, debris removal, land clearing, excavation, interior/exterior demo, and/or roof tarps. You won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful service ! Very professional, cut down a few trees in the back of my house and he ended up finishing the job in one day , hard working employees and picked up the trash in my yard without being asked too:)
