I was at my wit's end getting roof replacement quotes for my flat roof. I learned the hard way last year with the roofing company I hired for my house roof, to be very careful and have all labor and materials listed on the quotes before going forward with the company that you hire for the job.
I received several quotes, one was over priced I felt, and when I revisited the, "Referral Service", that sent the guy to bid the job. I mentioned a couple of things we talked about during the visit, these things were not listed on the proposal, him saying they were included in the labor. He was very polite, he seemed sincere and honest, but when he returned my inquiry about the missing information, he said it would cost me more. I asked him how much more, he told me that it would be about $1,200. More. So if you are wondering about, what the Total would have been before Tax???? $6400. For a 1 car garage flat roof. That conversation ended very quickly.
The 2nd Guy was trying to bid the job via Google satellite looking at my neighbors 2 car garage flat roof after giving him my address and telling him it was a single car garage. "No Thank You ".
The 3rd One came out, his quote was, they were going to just repair by, "Torch Down", a 6' portion of the roof where it was leaking. $4000.
Is it because I'm old woman and I don't have a clue????
As I was driving to work one morning, I saw one of Lakewood Roofing trucks and I took note to look them up and call. They were not only very pleasant, polite and more than cheerful to work with.They worked with me on my schedule so I could be here during the work, which is very important anytime homeowners have any kind of construction work done. And last but not least the most important thing, the cost was within a reasonable price, the job was done in about 5hrs, clean up and all.

I recently worked with Christian for a roofing project, and I’m genuinely impressed with their professionalism, quality of work, and communication throughout the process. From the initial inspection to the final cleanup, everything was handled efficiently and with great attention to detail. Will be using them on my next house that needs a roof also.

These guys are tenacious. I fought with my insurance company for three months before they got involved a year later I thought I would never get our roof repaired. The insurance company said the huge tree limbs that were slamming into the roof. Had nothing to do with the roof leaking. These guys stuck on it for a year and finally got the insurance to cough up what they should’ve. I would definitely use these guys. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Don’t bother with your insurance company call these guys seriously

They took their time to care for our property and restore damage spots, clean all of our roofs making them look immaculate, and even cleaned our dock, it’s never looked better. They are the best!! We were stressing out about paying for a new roof, as ours was quite old and it was clearly almost time. Then, one day, Lia showed up at our door and walked us through the process of filing a claim with our insurance company to have them cover the roof replacement. All we had to pay was our deductible! We have had a great experience with Lakewood roofing. Leah (or Lia?) was fantastic, and the crew was too. We live in a house built in 1910 and EVERY single homeowner that got their hands on this property has done something absolutely mind-blowingly idiotic with it, it seems. Between the plumbing that went literally nowhere, to the caked on asphalt panels on the roof, this house has been an absolute nightmare to fix up. When the roofing crew showed up and started what was supposed to be a $5k project, they called me up to the roof to show me what was going on. I was kind of appalled by the lack of foresight on behalf of the previous owners, and by the amount of ants that were crawling out of our roofing tiles. The asphalt was 7-8 layers thick underneath the aluminum slats they had placed over it.
I appreciate all of the hard work (and the risk) the crew put in to setting things right. I am sorry to the guy that fell through our shitty roof. Thankfully he was unharmed, but holy crap was that a jump scare. I sincerely feel bad that that happened and am extraordinarily glad that things didn't end up as bad as they could have.

We hired Lakewood Roofing after the November 2024 windstorm, when a tree fell on our home. Their representative, Lia, came to our door and assured us they would work directly with our insurance company to handle everything — new roof, gutters, and siding. Since we had never dealt with an insurance claim before, this sounded like a huge relief. Unfortunately, the experience became a long, stressful, and costly ordeal.
They installed a new roof and skylight, but the problems started immediately. After the roof was “finished,” we discovered half inch gaps in the truss repair. When we raised concerns, they made it seem like we didn’t know what we were talking about — until an inspector confirmed the work was unacceptable. Only then did they come back to fix it.
During that process, we asked for the permit they claimed had been filed. They provided it, but we discovered it had been submitted after we asked for it. The project was not properly permitted from the start.
The skylight installation was also left unfinished. They told us they couldn’t repaint because they “couldn’t color match,” again implying that we, as homeowners, didn’t understand how paint matching works. After several back and forths, my husband and I went out, got the correct paint match ourselves, and only then did they complete the job. Even now, the flashing around the skylight is not square — which we now know is contributing to some of the leaks in our roof.
It took months of delays before they finally admitted they would not be completing the gutters and siding that were promised and included in our contract. We were forced to find another contractor, losing valuable time during an already stressful recovery. They basically used this as a sales tactic.
We also discovered that they removed and replaced our roof decking without authorization. The insurance company refused to reimburse them because they couldn’t prove the work was necessary — leaving us stuck in the middle of a dispute we never agreed to.
To make matters worse, we later found out they altered the signed contract, but thankfully we had taken photos of the original at the time of signing.
Fast forward a year, and we noticed moisture spots on our ceiling. After checking the attic, we found multiple leaks and significant black mold growth. This is not only unacceptable workmanship — it’s a serious health and safety issue.
Overall, Lakewood Roofing failed to deliver on their promises, performed substandard work, and created additional problems that we are still dealing with today. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a roofing contractor.
Summary of Issues
• Promised to handle roof, gutters, and siding, then backed out months later.
• Installed roof with half inch gaps in truss repair and dismissed our concerns until an inspector confirmed the issue.
• Filed required permits after work had already begun.
• Skylight left unfinished; told us they couldn’t color match and implied we didn’t understand paint matching.

• A year later, discovered multiple leaks and black mold in the attic.

Lakewood Roofing delivered excellent service. Jose, Eddie, Jenny, and the team worked efficiently and communicated clearly throughout the process. After comparing quotes from three companies, Lakewood Roofing provided the best value. I am highly satisfied with the outcome and look forward to working with them on future projects.

We used this company to install a new roof in 2022 and had a great experience, so after a tree fell on our house and destroyed a portion of the house, we engaged them again for the reconstruction. Both times we worked with Christian, who is absolutely the point person you want on your project. He is proactive, involved, extremely responsive, and very considerate. The project manager, Eddie, also did a fantastic job keeping us informed about the timing of each step and took time regularly to explain the process. The crew they used for the interior restoration was INCREDIBLE. Finally, considering how slow and unresponsive our insurer was (Geico), Lia Michele was strategic and persistent to pushing our claims through. The full scope of work was approved thanks to her diligence. We had these folks in our home daily for months and it was completely comfortable and pleasant. I cannot recommend the team, especially Christian, enough to help folks with their roof repairs and restoration needs.

We initially reached out to 5 different companies for an estimate. We chose Lakewood Roofing due to the confidence of the work that Jose inspired during his walk through. Here our my comments in the hopes that it helps both the company and future customers. The work that was conducted was roof replacement, gutter replacement, siding repair, and painting.
First and foremost the workers were incredible. They worked tirelessly and wouldn't leave until the job was complete or they hit major checkpoints. Jose was accessible and quick to respond with any issues and the project manager (I forgot his name) met me at my house and addressed any concerns immediately. 5 stars given due to the final products and customer service. I would recommend Lakewood Roofing for any exterior projects.
The only issue that could be improved upon going forward is a better understanding of what the final products will look like especially if the homeowner takes cost effective measures. The details of this were directly communicated to Jose for the future and left at that. Highly recommend
