We had such a positive experience with Tobin Bros that we had them come out on three different occasions to work on our property. We have referred Tobin Bros to friends who have also been very happy with the quality of work. Experienced and efficient!

We were in need of stump grinding to get our future arboretum to the place where it will be smooth enough to keep mowed and walk through. We had over 50 stumps to get below ground. Vern was out within a day for an estimate, and the stumps were gone in two days of diligent work from his crew. We will use Tobin Brothers services again for other projects on our property.

I have used Tobin Bros numerous times and they are outstanding. They understood exactly what I wanted and were prompt, courteous and efficient. They provided excellent ideas on landscaping and made sure we were happy before they left the job site. I will use them again and highly recommend them.

We had several dead trees near our home that needed to be brought down. Tobin Brothers did an excellent job, taking great care to ensure the trees were brought down with minimal damage to the surrounding area. The team was very personable and courteous.

I had Trey his son come out and removed 6 stumps. Price was good. Did a amazing job removing the stumps. Clean up after was amazing moved the left over dirt away from my car port and driveway. He was a very nice and frienly . He did and excellent job. Above and beyond.

Vern and Mia and team were super easy to work with, extremely communicative, and helped make my property work for me. They cleared and graded for a driveway, brought in appropriate rock, and selectively took down trees. They asked for my input at every step along the way and provided recommendations when I needed help! Have had them on site twice now (different projects) and they will be my first call for the next one.

I had Tobin Bros tree service come out and dig me a power line for my property. They we're on time and everything look great. Once they were all done I didn't even have to clean up afterwards. Great job thank you! 👍

Vern is a genuine guy who made my project of building a driveway onto my property easy. He also stacked a bunch of logs I fell for a self-loader to pickup. Great quality work for a reasonable price.

Very happy with my experience working with Vern & Tobin Bros. I called Vern about felling 35 trees on my property, removing the stumps and cleaning things up, and he was quickly on site giving me an estimate. He communicated clearly and regularly with me about when he could start the job and made sure to answer all the questions I had before he got started. He was on time to both the estimate and job, followed through on everything he said he would do for my site, and did so to a very high standard. He also worked quickly - from the time I called him to the time he finished the job was less than a week! I will definitely be hiring Vern again for the next project. Thanks again, Vern!

My lovely wife and I have been working with Vern for nearly a year now to deliver rocks intermittently to our Harstine Island place. He communicates promptly, is kind, knowledgeable, and has been willing to work at our pace while we DIY our 570' driveway. Tobin Bros has most certainly earned every one of their 5 star reviews! We know who we will continue working with for our earth-moving projects... TOBIN BROS!

Vern saved us from a mess, we cannot thank him enough! After digging up our 400' driveway to run a new water line, Vern made quick work of refilling the trench, re-graveling the surface, and excavating a new parking space. He also took down a few trees for us to open our view. It was clear as soon as we met him that we were in good hands, we're so happy with the quality and speed of the work, and we will absolutely be calling him next time we need excavation work.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..... DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I’ve worked with this company in the past and had a great experience, which is why I reached out to them again this year after our pool construction required removing part of our fence.

Before the work started, I clearly communicated that most of the existing boards were already on site and would be reused. When the crew arrived, they mentioned they needed a few additional boards, and I agreed to pay for those without any issue.

However, after the job was completed, I was surprised to see a charge for 100 ft of fence wire, even though only about 5 ft was actually used. This was never discussed or approved beforehand. Had this been communicated, I would have declined the wire and gone with an alternative solution using boards.

I even offered for them to take back the unused wire (since it was not needed for my project) and adjust the cost accordingly, but the owner stated they would still charge for the full 100 ft, despite only a small portion being installed.

Additionally, there were inconsistencies in communication:

* I was told materials required a long trip to Ashland, but the invoice suggests they were just went 10 mins from the house
* The crew initially said they had to travel 40 mins to the warehouse and 40 mins back to bring forgotten tools, and I offered my own tools to build the fence. When mentioned to Andy he was arguing and saying they would have bought them at near hardware store and not even thanked for the tools.

The crew also loaded the 100ft wire on to theor truck even though they charged me for the entire wire and not giving me proce reduction. Why are they loading and billing the customer full charge if they intend to not reduce the price.

Do not go with this business.

I contacted this company to install a new fence for my yard and not only did the estimator not show up at scheduled time (had to reschedule) but I Never received a quote after being promised one the next day.

Great company ! I couldn’t be more pleased with my new fence ! They did a awesome job from start to finish on my new privacy fence !
