Deck Builder reviews across the US

I haven’t personally had work done by this company yet, but I’ve met the owner and would absolutely recommend them. It’s clear they take real pride in the quality of their work and approach every project with honesty and professionalism. If you’re looking for a deck company you can trust, they’re definitely worth considering.

Recently reached out to Armstrong Construction to build a privacy fence. Chance was quick to respond, taking time to verify and explain the process of what we wanted. They offered a fair and reasonable price. The crew was here on the first date promised. They did a great job, cleaned up their work area. I seriously couldn't be more pleased. I have already reached out for a quote on a second project.

I recently had my bathroom remodeled by Armstrong Construction, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. Thier team was incredibly professional, respectful of my time, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
They kept me informed every step of the way, made sure everything stayed on schedule, and the final product is absolutely stunning--far beyond what I had imagined! The craftsmanship and attention to detail are top-notch! I truly appreciated how easy they made the experience and how beautiful the outcome is.
If you're looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and courteous team for your next home project, I highly recommend Armstrong Construction. They are the real deal! -
Very disappointed in the lack of planning and organization. Chance talks a big game but results and performance were lacking. After 5 weeks, the only thing accomplished was deck demo and 11 holes dug for supports which codes in Williamson County immediately failed. The drawing submitted for construction to Williamson County had 22 supports. What was provided was 11 support holes. BTW there were no delays for weather. I had enough so Chance and I decided to part ways. I was charged what I consider to be way too much money for Armstrong's lack of performance. Since that time, I contracted Harpeth Decks and in 5 weeks I have a tank of a deck. Pictures enclosed.
I would like to point out that the response from ownership is completely incorrect. You kept over $ 7K of my deposit. The work completed was only demo of the deck and several holes that were failed by the codes inspector. Communication and planning was terrible! -
Very pleased with my replacement deck. All 6x6 piers on concrete. Solid and hopefully the materials are better for the long term. Great carpentry and a great look. I chose a wooden deck, though I was shown other options. Highly recommend.

We couldn’t be happier with our deck from Armstrong Construction. It turned out beautiful and is VERY well built! They go above and beyond to build a quality deck. Chance and Coby were easy to communicate with and were always a phone call away. Can’t wait to enjoy many evenings with friends and family!

One of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever dealt with.
Honest and has a tremendous amount of experience.
I highly recommend! -
Doug was very informative and extremely knowledgeable. If he serviced my area would’ve loved to use him on a project I’m working on.

Called to get so.e information as Google recommended this as a carpenter. Apparently deck building is all he does and he was extremely rude after asking if he could fix my house. He yelled derogatory comments in a demeaning way. Then hung up. I do need a deck built. Not from this guy.

Super great carpenter! Efficient, skilled, and friendly. Reasonable prices. Our deck looks beautiful now with new composite material!

We had a deck which was poorly built and Coastal Carpenter took it apart and rebuilt it like new!
VERY reasonable price and GREAT quality work. Definitely recommend and will be reaching out if and when additional work is needed -
Douglas helped me with a shade cover for my patio. Even though it was a smaller job he was awesome. We picked up materials and he stayed until it was finished. Thanks Doug!

Doug built a custom arched patio gate for my project in Vista, a one of a kind artistic effort. The picture is on his website. You will get quality at a fair price.

Doug Taylor replaced my rotting old stairs with new one's that he custom made for me, he is a incredibly thorough, and attention detailed carpenter also very reasonable cost, I will definitely call him again for future projects.

I have come to count on Doug for over 8 years to come to my rescue. He is meticulous and often adds to the work by advising me on fix it issues I am missing in the maintenance of my home. A really nice fella!

Doug Taylor and his crew were excellent to work with. I've used them 3 times with great results. They were both prompt and through. Doug clearly saw what I wanted to do and how to do it effectively and efficiently. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I had a rotten beam that was supposed to be supporting my third level balcony. Doug and his crew braced the balcony and replaced the beam with a new properly primed and painted beam at a very reasonable cost. I would hire him for any additional work I need done around my property!

I’ve been very satisfied with the service provided me by Doug at Coastal Carpenter. He is extremely meticulous in every aspect of the work he’s doing and he works with the client to make it as economical as possible. He is also a general contractor, so he is knowledgeable and experienced enough to do just about anything you might need. I am very happy with the work he has done for me and will be working with him for future projects.

We had a gazebo that was literally falling apart. The company that originally built it for us was long out of business. Coastal Carpenter came in and fabricated a bunch of custom wooden parts to replace ones that had rotted, including 2 of the main support posts and 2 of the main rafters as well as a bunch of smaller parts. The super structure was rebuilt with stronger parts and better fasteners, the wooden parts all beautifully painted and the vinyl parts all pressure cleaned until they gleamed. The whole job took less than a week and the price was reasonable. We were very pleased with the result.

Doug, from Coastal Carpenter came over to my home and inspected a load bearing wall in the front of my home. He found that the original home builder put in a 6x12 false beam used as articturaul detail. It started to separated from the load bearing wall and put undue stress on the wall. Doug removed and fixed the load bearing wall very quick and effiently which will save me thousands of dollars in future home repairs. I highly recommend thim for anyone looking for a honest and fair general contractor.
