Reviews of local pros in Hockessin, Delaware

Fast and reliable. They were very professional in every aspect from the estimate down to the workers. I will use again.

Mikes folks did a terrific job on a landscape that was quite challenging. His crew worked dawn to dusk to get it done as contracted.

Mike McDonald and his landscaping team have provided us outstanding service and value for years now with weekly lawn trimming and hardscaping projects! Thanks Mike!!

Always helpful to coordinate lawn service. Team on site does a great job - efficient & professional ! Recommended!👍

Amazing work always. Easy to communicate with and great online billing. Can’t say enough about these guys!

Overall, very reliable service, no complaints. Only things I would change: i would like the grass cut a little shorter and would like it cut on Thursdays or Fridays not Mondays or Tuesdays. But overall, very good service.

Mike and team helped us clean up some garden bins and lay mulch. Doesn’t sound like much, but let me say, they delivered! They hand-pruned our sensitive plants, blew leaves that had been stuck in hedges for years, and got mulch in and around plants in ways I didn’t know was possible.

The yard looks the best it’s looked in a very long time and the crew was great! It’ll be an easy decision on who to call for our landscaping needs in the future.

While the work completed by McDonald Lawn and Landscape is good, their business practice of not providing estimates and for overcharging is horrible. Beware! When asked to provide an estimate, they never did and after 3 months, I had to fire them because they continued to over charge me based on what the neighbors were paying. BE SURE TO GET FIRM PRICING AND SHOP THE PRICE WITH OTHERS - ESPECIALLY OTHER McDONALD Customer BEFORE allowing them to cut your lawn.
Their response to my repeated inquiries to pricing was "it must have fallen through the cracks". -- 3 months in a row!!!. BS. Horrible business.

McDonald Lawn and Landscape have been a lifesaver since my husband and I have developed bad backs. Their crew does great work and they’re easy to communicate with via text!

McDonald’s Lawn & Landscaping has maintained the landscaping on our property for over ten years and done an outstanding job. They are professional, thorough and do things as promised!

They do a good job mowing and edging the lawn and are very committed to a schedule.

They do a great job! Guys that come out are professional and pleasant. Have been using them for around 15 to 20 years! Never an issue. Highly recommend!

Mikes team did a great job clearing a downed branch that wrote off my car, they removed the branch with care and cleaned the area well.

Would definitely recommend McDonald landscaping to family and friends!

Reliable, timely and accessible when needed. Definitely a professional group who delivers on their word.

Mike (owner) and his team, have been providing lawn and landscaping services to our home for more than 25 years!!! Reliable, great service! We’ve seen him growing his business and excellent service!!

This is a great family-owned business. They are very thoughtful and polite, and they do a great job. I enjoy working with them

McDonald Lawn and Landscape does an excellent job cutting our lawn! The guys do a very good job of cutting, edging and blowing the sidewalk, steps and driveway each week. Mike (owner) is great to work with. He recently went the extra mile by squeezing in an unscheduled cut due to an upcoming aeration and seeding. I couldn't be more pleased with the overall service. I highly recommend McDonald!

The firewood delivery was on time. They crew neatly stacked the wood in the designated area. The owners were very accommodating. I will use them again.

McDonald has always completed my yard work professionally and quickly. I have never been disappointed with his work, and would recommend him highly.

I have been a client of McDonald Lawn & Landscape for over 5 years - They are 100% dependable and do a very professional job. I highly recommend them.

They scheduled an appointment quickly. They provided several options for landscaping, including moving some of my plants and trees. It's been several months and I'm still receiving compliments.
