Reviews of local pros in Hockessin, Delaware

I worked with Dean Stafford through out the landscaping project in my backyard. Deans communication with me was great through out the entire process. Borsello put in a beautiful patio with a side garden bed in my backyard. The pavers they picked out go perfectly with my home. Borsello did a fantastic job from start to finish. They would clean up every day after working. This truly will add value to my home. Thank you Borsello!

Mike Borsello and all of the people working with Borsello are professional, courteous and responsive. My design is unique and beautiful and installation was flawless. Their willingness to be available "on demand" to take care of the garden is fantastic! This week I had a "lighting emergency" and Mike and Ben were on the spot and got the job done beautifully! Love working with Borsello!!

Mike Borsello and his team were very professional. Mike designed and provided a detailed plan to extend our patio and add a water feature and new landscaping. His team worked very hard, even during cold weather. They were always polite and addressed our questions throughout the process. We heartily recommend Borsello Landscaping.

Excellent team to work with. The plan design and choice of plants was beautiful. The workmen were very compulsive about doing things right. We very much enjoyed working with them. The patio they constructed is perfect. Would definitely use again.

We recently had Borsello Landscaping enhance our Wilkinson Home's "builder's grade" landscaping. Within a few short days of our first call to the office (during the very busy spring landscaping season), Mike Borsello came out to our home to assess what we were looking to have done. He was on time and very easy to talk to. Then about five days later, he came back out with plans drawn and a fair estimate. We were not ready to do a complete overhaul of the front of our home and he understood that and did not push for anymore than what we were asking for. He did however create a plan that could be easily added on to in the future. The day that work started, his crew showed up first thing, were neat and clean in their work, and were very polite and professional. Also, Katie at the office communicated everything with us as it was happening and was available for any questions or concerns. We had a boulder retaining wall installed and had trees, shrubs, and perennials planted. All of the plantings were healthy and happy and are now blooming and thriving. Mike Borsello was on site each day that work was done and also followed up the day after the work was completed. We would recommend Borsello Landscaping to any of our friends or neighbors looking for expert design and quality work.

Every member of the Borsello team was professional and responsive. Our design process began with Mike Borsello who clearly listened to our wants and needs. He offered constructive suggestions in the process and we were able to get a beautiful design in an agreeable budget secure in a relatively short amount of time. As expected, there are usually hiccups somewhere in a large project, but the Borsello team professionally addressed them and made agreeable adjustments. During the construction, the team was respectful and cleaned up daily. They are not the cheapest option but it shows in their workmanship.

Borsello did an excellent job with our back yard and front yard renovations. His team was efficient and kept us informed through the process. They even assisted us in dealing with supply chain issues surrounding the outdoor furniture and were very responsive when complications arose, including those arising from the work of other, unrelated contractors who were handling different projects contemporaneously. We would recommend Borsello for any landscaping or outdoor improvement project.

I've had the pleasure of working with Alan R. at Borsello Landscaping. The professionalism I found working with Alan was much higher than I expected from a landscaping company. Alan listened to what we wanted at our home and he presented us with a beautiful layout of what we could have at our home. Alan's knowledge of plants and landscaping will amaze you. He has helped us tremendously with providing us options to make our home beautiful at a fair price and shared a lot of knowledge with us. As our project continued, I met other members of Borsello team and was very pleased with their professionalism as well.

If you choose Borsello to do work at your home or business, I encourage you to ask for Alan!

Absolutely amazing work! Mike and his team built our fantastic pool deck and patio area. From design to completion, it was one of the best contractor experience we’ve had. Mike was always responsive (and continues to be even after the work is done) and came out himself if there were questions or concerns. The guys here everyday were professional, friendly, respectful, and polite. They cleaned up everyday before they left (which seemed unnecessary given it was a construction area!). We have dogs and they were extra careful to make sure our existing yard area for the dogs was secure all the time. Highly recommend! We will absolutely use Borsello again for future landscape projects and recommend them to anyone who asks!

So happy we went w Borsello! 10+! Mike Borsello and team are so knowledgeable, Mike listens, works with you and delivered exactly what we were looking for! The crew was so professional, courteous and neat you do not need to worry! Highly recommend Borsello Beach - you won’t be disappointed! TRULY in a league of their own! Worth every dime!

We can’t say enough good things about Borsello Landscaping. My wife and I wanted a major backyard renovation including, decking, pavers, a pavilion and in-ground swimming pool. The design team at Borsello Landscaping was creative around the layout and receptive to the changes we wanted to see in the process.

Borsello partnered with a pool company and that relationship was seamless. Throughout the project, there were many different crews that had to coordinate while on-site at our home, we found every team to be courteous & neat. Throughout the construction phase, the site managers for each crew kept us abreast of what would happen next and how long it would take.

The project was completed on time, came in on budget and was more beautiful than we could have envisioned from the beginning. We highly recommend Borsello Landscaping.

I selected Borsello to create several plant beds and furnish a wide variety of trees and shrubs throughout my backyard. Of all the companies I met with initially, Borsello had the best approach in terms of providing landscape design, talking through various plant options, and providing corresponding estimates. They also worked with me to navigate tree sizes and reducing costs where possible. Their entire team is very professional and communicates very effectively prior to any work being conducted. After my installation, I had some concerns with one section of plantings and Mike personally met with me and addressed the concerns. I have been very satisfied and would certainly reach out to Borsello again for my next landscape project.

Very disappointed. They put in plants that never grew. They are little twigs a year and a half in. They won’t replace them. I paid good money and they were happy to take it, but I didn’t get what I paid for. They come out say they will get back to you and never get back.

We had a flower bed put around our pool in April. Nicole has been a joy to work with not only for her attention to detail but she is very knowledgeable. The Borsello team provided a detailed sketch of the work for our approval prior to planting. After planting, Nicole provided a synopsis of each plant with picture. After a month, the plants are coming up healthy and we love the new look. From initial phone call to completion, Borsello Landscaping did an awesome job .

We knew we wanted to enhance our backyard, but for the longest time we didn't know how to go about doing it. This changed when we first met with Nicole in April 2022. Nicole's inspiration was the first step to enable us to have a backyard beyond our imagination. Nicole and the entire Borsello team did an amazing job to completely renovate our backyard living area. Their professionalism and workmanship were top notch through the entire process. We would not hesitate to recommend Borsello to anyone looking for a local landscaping company. Also a special shout out to Nicole for putting everything in motion as without her we would likely still be kicking around ideas. We're really happy we decided to put our trust in Borsello to do the job.

We recently completed the installation of a pool and we had Borsello Landscaping at the Beach lay sod, plant trees, prepare garden beds and install an irrigation system around the pool. They did a terrific job. Not only were they extremely responsive to our request, but they were great to work with (very friendly and personable). Our project was started and completed on time and on budget. We were also impressed with how meticulous they were at keeping our driveway and new walkway clean during the entire installation (which showed an attention to detail). We highly recommend Borsello Landscaping at the Beach.

We just finished our second project with Borsello at our new home and we are just as pleased as we were the first time. In fact, I don't see a need to go anywhere else for landscaping, hardscaping or lighting needs. Alan is a great designer and comes up with a plan that is creative, fits our needs and we love all of his recommendations as he thinks about the little things and how the colors will change depending on the season. The staff at Borsello is also awesome and Shannon kept me up to date with each phase of the project and the crew is top notch and had the project done in no time. The process has been stress free, professional and all of the neighbors tell me it looks beautiful and can't believe the transformation in a weeks time.
Just awesome and I think Borsello sets the standard that no one can match!

Working with Borsello was the absolute BEST experience I could have ever imagined! From the first time meeting with Dean to layout my vision, to it coming to life in a quick 2 week period, I was happy from beginning to end. I can't wait for next summer when I finally get to show off this beautiful work to all my friends and family and enjoy the landscape in all its glory! Will be back next year to redo the front landscape of my house, until next time!

We had several well reviewed landscaping companies that couldn't find the main problem for our drainage issues. We contacted Mike and after a thorough inspection he found the issue that the other companies overlooked. Wish we had called him first.

I enjoyed dealing with Mike and the Borsello team. Communications were clear, they were timely and they did great work. Would use them again in the future!

Borsello Landscaping completed a major landscaping, lighting, & hardscaping project in the front & sides of our property. The process, from the planning through completion, went smoothly & we could not be happier with the results!
Dean S., our design coordinator, was extremely knowledgeable, flexible & helpful at every stage of the project. Attention to detail was much appreciated along with his expertise. Simply a great guy to work with! Also appreciated was the entire Borsello team as they were all attentive, communicative, skilled and neat.
We plan to certainly contact Borsello and request Dean for our future outdoor backyard project! - Diane & Steve B.
