Just had 3 dying trees removed before they became a problem. Jeff showed up when he said he would and was prompt with his quote. The same with the team. They showed up Monday as promised and worked safely and efficiently. They cleaned the area and patched any divots the falling limbs left in my lawn. I’m very pleased with their work and professionalism. Definitely recommended!

Jeff returned calls timely. Gave fair quote (equal to two others) Arrived on the day scheduled and completed in quoted time frame. Crew were polite and professional and kept the yard tidy especially for the amount of work required. Would highly recommend.

I called Stein Tree to come out and check my beech tree. It's big and old and I love it, except it was scratching my windows and looming over the roof quite badly in a few spots. They came out and gave me an estimate the very next day with no contact. It was a month before they could get out, but I wasn't in a huge hurry and it wasn't an emergency! They also told me from the beginning it would be about three weeks, so four wasn't a hardship.

The guys who came were AMAZING. I asked them if they would confirm a branch would hold the swing I had literally got in that day. They agreed to check and then just hung it up for me!

Kiddo has played on that swing every day since and the tree looks AMAZING.

We had Stein Tree Services remove a huge 50 ft + oak tree located about 2 feet from our house. It had massive branches hanging over our roof and was no small task to remove. They were able to get the tree removed with just a bucket truck (not a crane like some other quotes I got), were done in under 8 hours, and left no mess or damage to the house despite how close the tree was to our home. They were on time for the work, wore all the proper safety gear, and pricing was the best of any other companies we got quotes from. Can’t recommend this company enough!

Everything from getting the quote to arranging the work was quick and easy. The prices were fair, and Jose and his team did a great job.

Stein was suggested by a neighbor when a storm brought down a large tree in our yard. The reviews looked good so we got an estimate worded thus: Tree removal. Remove downed tree from backyard. They responded quickly, and the work was done while we were at work, which we had no issue with. However, they left the stump behind--and it's big. When I asked about it, I was told the equipment would not fit through our narrow gate. They know how big the equipment is. Why didn't this come up during the estimate phase? The estimate didn't include any kind of indication that the stump was not part of the "tree removal." I asked about this and was then told that stump removal is treated as a separate service in the tree business. Wouldn't you mention that in the estimate, and offer it as an option for an up-sell? Also, before, the excuse was because the equipment didn't fit. If they never intended stump removal, why say FIRST it wasn't done because the equipment wouldn't fit, and THEN that it was not done because it's not part of the quoted service, and was never intended to be done? You know what? This was a simple matter of poor communication, and it's not all on their side. But when the issue was raised, all I got was a bunch of conflicting, illogical excuses why we didn't get what we thought we were paying for. Unprofessional at best, weasel-like at worst. If you use them, ask a LOT of questions about what will and won't be done, and GET IT IN WRITING.

The Stein Tree crew were on time, friendly, accurate, and efficient. Did a great job cleaning up, too.
In addition to tree removal, they injected our big elm with the elm borer treatment. All in all, RECOMMENDED.

I was happy with Stein Tree Service. Jeff was professional, on time and fair. When I had questions, he seemed honest and was willing to give me some ideas on how to find solutions to other concerns. They took care of our request, honored our wish and did not leave a mess. I was happy, therefore, I "told my friends". All the best to you in the new year.

My wife and I used Stein Tree Service to take down a gum tree, grind up a few stumps, and remove debris from other trees as well. Their team was very kind, professional, and efficient. They left the yard and driveway spotless. Also spoke with Jeff Stein (the owner) a couple of times throughout the process and he was very friendly, honest, and professional as well. Would definitely recommend!

Stein provided excellent service. Work required pruning to most of the trees on the property including 2 very large ones. We are extremely pleased with the results. First scheduled date was cancelled due to heavy rain…..we were called and rescheduled with no problems.

If you ever need Tree Service, Stein Tree Service is the way to go. They are prompt. They always get back to you quickly and the job they do with taking down a tree and getting the stump out is wonderful and they’re very good at cleaning everything up afterwards.

I have used Stein Tree Service for many, many years. Jeff always comes out promptly and gives you a fair estimate of the work needing to be done. He'll answer any questions you might have and offer suggestions. His crews are friendly and the job is done well. They make sure all the debris is cleaned up after the job is completed.
Most importantly, Stein's is insured so if anything happens you won't incur any costs. I have never had a problem or complaint with the work they've done for me.

Jose’s crew did a great job. Reviewed to work before starting to make sure they understood what I wanted and walked through afterwards. They removed what they cut and my yard looks great!

Team did not initially complete the project to our expectations the first time. Upon calling the office and describing the issue, they quickly sent a team back out to complete the job as expected. The responsiveness of the support team and the quality of the work was fantastic. My advice is to check with the foreman to make sure his work-order agrees with the quote you received so there are no misunderstandings. I will hire them again.

I met with Matt to get a quote on removing some precarious limbs from a black cherry overhanging our shed. He was incredibly kind and professional. The quote he gave us was a very reasonable price.

They were out the next day to remove the tree limbs and did a fantastic job. The cuts were clean and they didn't leave any snags. The crew cleaned up their work nicely and left the firewood sized logs stacked neatly.

I'd highly recommend using them for any tree work!

I have used Stein Tree over many years... most recently to remove 3 enormous trees, grind a stump, and take down dead limbs from an even more enormous, hard to access tree. Matt responded quickly to my requests for quotes and was out next morning to look over the job and give me an estimate (completely reasonable) mmediately via email. His crews were on time and professional in their dealings with me and care of the yard (including filling holes created by dropped limbs), protecting adjacent plantings and trees, cleaning up including the roof, and interacting with the city for any issues with road closures and wires access. I am so happy with the results and with working with Stein Tree! Give them a call, you will be glad you did.

I used Stein Tree Service for the first time to remove several dead trees on my property in addition to cabling/bracing an oak tree. I am pleased with the job they did. Matt came out very quickly to give me an estimate. Everything was clearly detailed as to what they would be doing. The guys that came out were friendly and were careful not to damage my lawn. I thought the price was reasonable. I would use them again if I need tree work in the future.

Professional. Gets the work done quickly and efficiently. Stein removed a dead tree for us and while removing a rather large piece, it fell and damaged our walkway. Stein immediately took action and got that fixed. Highly recommend for any tree services you need. Matt & Ruth are wonderful.
