Marshall Landscaping recently regraded our backyard, removed overgrowth, took down old ivy off the side of the house, and brought in new soil and grass seed. Their work was impeccable and we would highly recommend! Prices were very reasonable and the team was extremely responsive and attentive! We are so happy with the final product and definitely plan on having more work in the future. Thanks!

Better than the best outcome we could have expected. The crew was great and created our patio with fine craftsmanship. The patio was also $20,00 thousand than another estimate and $11,00 than another. Professional from start to finish.

Great installation. The crew showed up every day and put some serious time in making sure the install was professional.
We would use Marshall in the future based on the hardscaping crew. I had total confidence in these guys that the work was correct.

They recently did some snow removal for me. They did an excellent job and responded quickly. I felt they were a more expensive than other quotes I received. But sometimes you got to pay a bit more for great services.

We’ve had 3 jobs now completed by Marshall’s. All hardscaping. The outcome is AMAZING. the work excellent. What a huge difference it’s made!! Started with the pool area, then replaced front walkway, and now a pad they joined to the previous work in the backyard leading to pool area. All the workers very professional and worked hard and quickly. We couldn’t believe how fast the last 2 jobs went. Thank you. We may be calling again!!

Marshall landscaping was the perfect company to complete our pool landscaping project. The crew was great and completed the job very timely. They extended and buried the sub pump line and then outlined the pool gave us an amazing patio area. Will definitely be using this company for future projects.

All future customers of Marshall's Landscaping will be very pleased with Shawn and his crew for their skill and dedication to their project. We replaced and expanded our back patio. The crew's work was amazing in every aspect, down to every detail - true artists!
They were respectful of our property and cleaned up each day, assuring the newly paved front court was maintained -swept and hosed off. We greatly appreciated the grading and seeding at project completion.
Looking forward to doing business with Marshall Landscaping in the future .
Thanks Shawn! -
Quick, courteous, well-organized, and did a great driveway replacement! Got my asphalt driveway fully replaced in a matter of hours. The office was always in touch with us every step of the way and offered plenty of options to get in touch with them, which was super helpful. Evaluated a few other businesses for this job; Marshall Landscaping offered a reasonable price and a warranty for the work as well! The driveway looks awesome and appears well-structured. We've already gotten compliments from our neighbors! The job was also thoroughly cleaned up afterwards which was nice to see and I'm sure my neighbors appreciated as well.

Our backyard had drainage issues and erosion caused by over 25 years of poor water flow. After consulting with several contractors, I chose Marshall’s for the job. They clearly explained the project options and associated costs.
What stood out most was the professionalism and courtesy of the crew. They communicated throughout each phase of the project and even asked for my input along the way. The work was completed without any noticeable quality issues—the drains were properly installed, and the ground was leveled and seeded as expected.
I hope this helps others when choosing a company for a similar project. -
I recently hired Marshall Landscaping to build a replacement 10-feet high and 27-feet long retaining wall at my home, and I’m very pleased with the results.
From the beginning, communication was clear and professional. They showed up on time, respected my property, and kept the work area clean throughout the project. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations – everything was completed to a high standard and within the agreed timeline. We did experience some delay with the driveway asphalt replacement phase due to coordination with Comcast’s cable burying team.
What stood out most was the craftmanship of work. The primary project took over two weeks to complete once the work started. I now know the difference between a true hardscape professional and those who only do it occasionally, it’s not easy to find service providers who take this much pride in their work.
Additional cherry on top for this project was their service warranty. The retaining wall came with 7-year warranty, and the new driveway is 3-year warranty. You do not see many building contractors that confident to offer such protection.
I would absolutely recommend Shawn and his crew at Marshall Landscaping to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and professional home service. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects. -
We’ve had Marshall’s out for a few jobs—French drains, yard regrading, and extending our driveway. They’re awesome! They always do a great job. Professional, hard-working while also friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend working with them!

I booked Marshall Landscaping to clean up my flower beds and add some hard scaling (river rock beds and a paver path). The end result was incredible. They definitely spent the time to ensure the entire job was done properly and made sure to clean up any mess they created. I highly recommend them for any of your outdoor needs.

Marshall Landscape did a full tear out with concrete sidewalks on a property I’m renovating, and they are hands down one of the most professional companies that has ever done work for me. Great communication, great work, and great crew. Couldn't recommend enough, and I’m looking forward to repeat work with them.

Shawn was wonderful at the consult and gave me a realistic view of what could be done in my yard. The work was executed professionally and the team was excellent! They worked so hard for long hours and were polite, kind, neat, respectful, and very talented in all areas! They removed brush, bushes, and vines, installed a fence, and gave me a new driveway. It was incredible and I couldn't be happier with the work.

We had a long set of winding steps up to our front door that were deteriorating, and needed to be replaced. The original steps were made of pavers that were coming loose, and the steps had an awkward tread length. They were a hazard.
I got three quotes for replacing the steps with concrete. Marshall landscaping was not only the most affordable quote, but also had the most detailed scope, and I got the best 'vibe' from their estimator (who I think may be the owner?). They were responsive and patient with my requests to tweak the scope - adding in a tint to the concrete mix, adding 'chipped stone' molds to the risers, etc.
I am a carpenter myself, and own a small business that does museum exhibit installations. I try to do all the work on my own house myself, because I care how it turns out a lot more than any contractor would, and I usually have the skill to do the job better than most could, even if they did care as much. I have had to follow up and fix major mistakes after almost every crew that has come to work on my house. I was nervous about trusting strangers to cast a major feature of our house into concrete - the stakes were high!
I have worked around, or been on, or led every flavor of crew there is. The crew that came to our place was as professional as it gets, and highly skilled. They had a very tricky problem to solve - an 'S'-shaped winding staircase that had to match various points in 3-D space, while maintaining regular riser heights and tread lengths. Building safe and code-conforming stairs is a difficult job in any medium. Building curved work is always difficult. Add in that my personal standards for the look of the final result were high, and this was a hard job.
The crew worked diligently through three long days, pausing at critical points to get my approval or input. The practical and aesthetic choices they made on-site were the exact ones I would have made. They also had suggestions and tweaks to the design that I would have never thought of, and which enhanced the final result. A supervisor came out periodically to ensure the scope was met and to make sure I was happy with everything before the pour.
I could not be more happy with how it turned out. They did a great job with a very difficult problem. Highly recommended! In fact I have already passed on their name to a friend for a project. -
Thank you for your response. However, there are several inaccuracies in your statement that need to be addressed for the sake of clarity and honesty.
First, I was not “in the area with my dog” I was in my own yard, on my own property, behind my fence. The landscaper was in the common area, and there was approximately 10–15 feet of distance between us. We were not in close proximity to any operating equipment. This was not a situation involving standard safety precautions related to a lawn mower. The behavior I experienced involved the landscaper deliberately yelling toward me despite that distance. This behavior was explained to the police.
Second, the individual who authored your response was not present during the incident. I was. To characterize the behavior as non-threatening is inaccurate. The landscaper’s conduct included aggressive, harassing, and verbally inappropriate behavior that persisted for several minutes. My decision to disengage and go inside was intentional and based on that experience.
Third, your statement that a different crew member was reassigned is incorrect. It was the same worker who returned to my property the following week. I contacted you to make you aware of this because I believed it to be an error or lapse in communication, especially given that you acknowledged during our phone conversation that the police had instructed that this individual should not be near my property. During that same conversation, you also acknowledged that you made a mistake with the mapping and inadvertently reassigned the same worker back to my home.
Given that acknowledgment, it is misleading to now suggest that a different employee was involved or that this was a separate complaint. It was not. It was the same individual, and the purpose of my follow-up call was to address what I initially believed to be an oversight. I also want to be clear: I do not need your permission or validation to identify and report threatening behavior. Being on the receiving end of one of your employee’s actions, I do not make that claim lightly. My concern is rooted in my lived experience during that interaction and my right to feel safe on my own property.
Lastly, I would encourage a more accurate and transparent representation of events moving forward. My concern has always been about safety and accountability. I approached this situation calmly and reasonably, and I expected the same in return.
Let’s keep the facts aligned with what actually occurred. -
I had a very troubling experience with P&M Lawn and Landscaping, specifically with the owner, Matt. His behavior was extremely rude, dismissive, and, most concerning, victim-blaming.
There was an incident at my home where one of the landscapers behaved in a verbally aggressive and intimidating manner, using what I would describe as vituperative language. This behavior persisted for approximately seven to eight continuous minutes, creating an environment where I felt genuinely unsafe. As a result, I contacted the police. They advised and later confirmed directly to the company that this individual should not return to or work anywhere near my property. Matt himself acknowledged this in a follow-up conversation with me.
However, just one week later, I looked out my window and saw the same landscaper working directly around my fence again.
This situation forced me to remain inside my own home with my pet until he left, just so I could feel safe going into my own yard. That alone was upsetting, but my interaction with Matt afterward made things significantly worse.
When I raised my concerns, Matt was unsympathetic and offered little to no apology for what was a serious lapse in judgment and safety. Instead, his tone was dismissive and accusatory. He explicitly stated that the landscaper likely felt the same way and didn’t want to see me either, which was both confusing and inappropriate. I had not engaged in any confrontation—I simply removed myself from the situation to avoid escalation and ensure my safety. Despite this, he shifted blame onto me for calling the police, even though I did so calmly, after the individual had already left, and solely to document the incident.
His overall demeanor reflected irritation, distaste, and a clear disregard for my safety and well-being. Given the prior instruction from police and his acknowledgment of it, it is deeply concerning that the same individual was sent back to my property. Based on the tone and anger he expressed during our conversation, I cannot help but question whether this was more than just an oversight.
This was not a simple difference of opinion. It was a failure to take a legitimate safety concern seriously, compounded by disrespectful and unprofessional conduct.
I cannot recommend a company that responds to situations like this with such a lack of accountability, empathy, and concern for customer safety.
