I highly recommend Black Hill Electrical Solutions for their reliability, professionalism and efficiency. Wes worked with us to find solutions that would work for our outdoor electrical challenges. And when Wes and his team came to complete the job, they were prompt, efficient and professional. Even when we made a small change after the initial job was completed , he came right out again quickly and finished the extra job.

Really wonderful group of people to work with. Every single job they have done for us has been professional and top notch. And the staff is extremely friendly. On the weekend we lost power and they were here within 10 minutes. Thank you so much!

Update 6-9-2026
Recently had two generators replaced by two generators that I provided. Traded in two working Kohler generators. Due to what I consider a poor lack of communication between the Propane provider and electric company that job cost me way more than it should have. I am a generator dealer in Connecticut and know what the stuff should cost, I was definitely taking advantage of by both the Propane company (Dead River) and the electric company. Not happy, although I have to say the technicians who did the work did a good job, very professional.

I am posting a review today based on a number of experiences I have had with this company. Most recently we underwent a significant solar system upgrade which involved installation of new solar panels and new charge controllers. During the installation, a number of components suffered failures. We are not entirely sure of the reasons for the failures, however it was likely there may have been some level of human error. Concurring with that assumption, the company stepped up to the plate and took responsibility for the job, and covered the cost of the necessary repairs. In addition to that they provided extensive follow-up calls and provided a myriad of different types of testing to ensure the system was operating normally and in a safe condition. I'm not posting a five star review, because some oversights occurred on this job, however the company deserves a good four star review for their level of resolve and concern to make it right for the customer. I would strongly recommend this company to anybody looking to do electrical or solar work.

We had called numerous electricians to come do a small job of moving our water heater onto our main electrical panel. Rob Stubbins was the only one to return a call and actually come out and do the work! Guys were very professional and did fast work. Would highly recommend.

Rob Stubbins is very professional and accommodating. I had a big project but limited budget, so it took a lot of stops and goes from me and uncertainty (I am new at this) and they were professional and patient throughout. They are also very reasonably priced and inspire trust. Ivan was clear and prompt, professional and organized (despite being, no doubt very busy), and Monica went above and beyond, getting me my quote and being super nice and efficient. Could not ask for a better experience. I highly recommend them.

This company is incredible. Stephen and Collin did an excellent job upgrading our electrical system from 100 to 200 amps. They did a great job of informing us of what they were doing each step of the way. Stephen's acrobatic abilities to get into tough places was impressive. They also did a great job hardwiring our security cameras. Would HIGHLY recommend this company.

He charge us 7,500.00 didn’t complete he left pretty much everything thing half done gave us a price for things and just kept going up with out completing any of the work I do not recommend them at all

I have these guys do all my renovation needs. Everything is done in a professional, timely manner. I wouldn't hire anyone else.

We contacted Ellsworth Electric for an upgrade to our panel in our home, the person that answered the telephone was very helpful and let us know that Preston was on another call but would contact us shortly. We received a return call within 24 hours. Preston walked us through what was needed for the upgrade. Preston was able to get us installed in a timely manner and we will be contacting Ellsworth Electric for all our electric services.

Met the boys at a job site and glad I did. I needed some lights installed in the kitchen and they did a great job with the layout. I plan on using them in the future and will keep them on the top of the call list to work with again.

I send Preston a message on a Wednesday, he got right back to me, made arrangements to have him come and take a look at what needed to be done, he came on a Monday and assessed and started the job right away, said he would be back to finish the job on Tuesday came in the middle of a snow storm, he removed a fused box, replaced some K & T wiring, and added a light switch in which he didn't have to do!!! Excellent work!!! All for a very excellent price!!!

Great folks to deal with!

Don't go on weekends. When I first started going out, it was very hard to find anyone to help, then find someone to help with knowledge, now it seems better. I'm still on the fence.

This was the easiest time I've ever had trying to get a professional to perform some kind of home service. Friendly and timely and the electrician told me exactly what he thought the problem was and fixed it.

Stoney Electric did an excellent job updating our electrical system during a recent renovation. Their team was highly knowledgeable and professional and I highly recommend them. Big shoutout to Tim, Jen and Zach and the rest of the team.
