My husband and I had been considering investing in solar panels for a while when Charlie from TriSMART came knocking on our door. He was very patient in answering our questions about solar power and tax incentives, and he offered us a price-match against any comparable panels we were offered by any other vendor. Of the three vendors we spoke to, TriSMART had the best product and was able to make the price competitive. We've been so happy with their service since installation, and the energy production reduces our energy costs dramatically.

I’ve had this system since 2022. The sales guy Tad said I’d be over 60% grid independent with my $50,000 system!!! What a JOKE, I’ve never gotten over 35% grid independence. Huge disappointment and I really really regret getting this system. Problems from the start. DONT USE TriSMART!!! They should rename themselves TriLIARS!!!

I am highly impressed with the entire TriSMART Solar experience. I have shopped for solar panel installs for several months, and TriSMART earned my business. I'm a hard sell. First and foremost, I do not want to feel like I am a sales transaction, and I did not. Tara reviewed my CPS bill and discussed my usage to base my solar panel decision centered on that information. There was no push to oversell more panels than I needed. The initial panel estimate was the lowest I received from any other company. She also explained the option to add additional panels to my system later if required. It’s reassuring knowing I didn't overspend and could adjust with additional panels if I underestimated. Win-Win for me. I asked for several different estimates based on the # of panels and offset options. Responses were quick, and knowing my options is comforting for this type of financial decision. If you are considering solar, contact TriSMART and ask for Tara Gass. She is patient and explains all aspects of the process in a way that is easy to understand. Tara also updated me on the tax incentives tied to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which helped me make the final decision that now is the time to purchase.

Tyronn was my advisor and I had a great experience. He is very responsive and knowledgeable. Even before the appointment he called to confirm. Which was very helpful. He explained each step in the process as well as how to receive the tax credit. He wasn’t pushy at all, and made sure I was well informed. I’m very happy with my solar panels and haven’t had any issues, I no longer receive a bill from CPS. I have recommend several friends and family member that have had the same experience.

TriSmart Solar thru Vivint. It has been 1 month since installation. CPS has come by twice to perfom commissioning (interconnection) both times failed. I haved called numerous times and texts to TriSMART solar. There is no response from TriSMART solar. Completely regret working with them. Vivint is a good home security company but TERRIBLE choice for solar. I have been left hanging in the dark. TriSMART Solar = FAIL
*update - after this review I was contacted by TriSMART solar. The commissioning failed because TriSMART's electrician was not present during the scheduled inspections (required when a battery is being installed) My solar system was finally up and running about a week later. So far everything is good. -
Edit: Well the minor communication issues at our install two years ago should have been a warning sign. Two years after install, we had to replace our roof and needed TriSmart to remove and replace the panels. The experience was excruciating. They don't have anyone to answer their phones. Or return their return their messages. Or return their emails.
They were sharp and unpleasant to work with. We were paying them more than $5k to do the work, and yet we were treated like an annoyance every time we interacted with the company in anyway.
They regularly broke promises, including some that have caused damages to myself and family.
So why two stars instead of one? Well so far as I can tell, they are not in fact a scam just an poorly run company.
Prior review:
Very good experience. I would recommend them to anyone. The quality has been strong, and the results have been great, and exactly in line with what I was told to expect. There haven't been any hidden fees. No surprise payments. They were trustworthy.
In fact they went above and beyond to get answers for questions for me, finding emails from local utility company reps and the like.
So why not 5 stars? These guys are commissioned and you can tell they have a lot of pressure to close, and it gets to them. You can feel the pressure, and I don't like doing business that way. And after the deal closed we've several small annoying miscommunication issues. Less than you'd expect with a run-of-the-mill cell phone company, but there nonetheless. -
Vivent guy came tadd marketing there product. Misinformed me on warranties on the solar panels and how it would affect the warranties to my house after being on the phone for literally three hours I finally got a hold of a sales rep for tri smart rep. I strongly recommend reading over warranty agreement prior to signing
Edit: I am not a robot 5 minutes after posting a response to this Google review I got a call from them, they claim this is vivient (sales team that marketed the product) not them. My cancellation case number is 9048. They could not find the account because instead of putting my name he put my nickname on the contract. Bumping it up to two stars because I kind of understand there point but they still have a third party marketing there product and should be more careful who they partner with. They claim vivent just calls and subcontracts them out which is worse in vivents case because that means you are getting a maximum upcharge for there being a middle man. If you decide to go this route call trismart direct and read through all the documents carefully it's all there and it may stop misinformation from there being a middle man. Recommendation for trismart hire more people to answers phones and monitor who is pitching your product. This could have turned into a nasty legal issue with two companies being involved in one agreement and the consumer not knowing, My name wasn't correct on the contract, the warranty doesn't match what the sales rep marketing your product says (I understand you may be getting third partied), and the silent partner stance I feel you guys take could cause issues later for your team. -
Mike the Sales agent is awesome, as well is the install team who rocked through installing 52 panels and 20P battery. The support staff scheduling the inspections and linking up the final commission turn on suck. This is a major and epic failure to execute the final leg...not once but twice despite my best efforts to coordinate. 2 month delay thus far in getting our system commissioned and turned on.

TriSMART Solar was absolutely phenomenal. James, my sales rep was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions until I felt confident in making the decision to go solar. TriSMART took good care of me and the solar panels look great on my roof. The installation crew were amazing. I had zero issues. This is one of the smartest choices I have done for me and my family. This will save us a lot of money for many years to come. After getting solar panels, I’m surprised why more homes don’t have them. I recommend solar panels to friends and family, and if you do get them, go with TriSMART.

We are VERY satisfied with TriSMART. From the first visit, until we finally got panels installed and
approved. Five ⭐️
They are simply the BEST. Our rep, Cody, was very transparent during our meeting. He and Malachi, were awesome to work with. They have demonstrated
have great customer service with us. They will keep you informed throughout the entire process. Honestly,
the best price out there with this kind of incentive. STOP looking, just call and set up your appointment. 😊 -
We were offered solar with TriSMART through Vivint. Total time from the sales pitch to solar panel installation was exactly 2 weeks. Everyone I dealt with in this process was very professional, friendly, and communicative. If you are under HOA, they can handle everything on your behalf if you want (highly recommended). They really take care of everything. Aside from the initial agreement signing and other documents we signed and initialed, we didn’t need to really do much, but provide our HOA info, credit check, and plat of survey (you should have this in your closing documents from when the home was purchased). Everything went smooth and even the installers were professional and talked me through everything that was going to be done. Highly recommended to work with! Also, if you qualify to get them through Vivint, do it! Let them pitch it to you.

We absolutely LOVE our solar panels! We got quotes from several companies, and TriSmart had the best price and quality, by far. Michael was our consultant, and he made the entire process so easy! He took his time with us, and he was very responsive when we had questions, even after installation! Michael is so kind, professional, helpful, and honest. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

My install team were very prompt. I have not had my system activated yet still need 2 additional inspections but it was just installed 24hrs ago. Fingers crossed that everything goes well. I would like to state the installation crew did not clean up their mess which I had to do myself. Was not expecting to go clean up after them. My attic was left open (in garage) which could lead to rodents and other pests getting in. I will provide an update once we move forward.

They were running late but when they called to tell when they would get there they were spot on.
The installation was noisy but that is to be expected since my house is small and both my dog and I were inside. They were very quick only taking 4 hours to do the total install. They cleaned up after themselves no trash for dogs to step on or people. My inspection is next week sometime so unless they fail that and I don’t see how they could I would suggest them to those interested in solar. -
The sales guy is nice, but good luck getting everything done in a timely manner.
Started my venture in getting solar panels added in middle Aug, 2020, and was told I'd have solar power by the end of Sept. 2020. That was a lie.
They didn't contact me for weeks after I gave them my HOA approval letter and the check. I felt like I had been scammed.
After calling them, they finally started to do their jobs, and in October, they installed the solar panels on my roof. Then a week later at the start of Nov. they got the master electrician. I was told the next step would be CPS doing their inspection and turning on the solar panels. I was told it's about a 3-week wait once i get added to CPS' list.
2 weeks after the master electrician came, I get a call telling me they've not submitted me to the CPS list, cause they need photos of the completed job to put the request in.
When asked why they didn't send someone shortly after or the week of the master electrician's job, I was told they did send 2 guys, but they never reported back in with the details. I said, "So this is a miss handling of employees?" and the lady agreed. Like that's not a good thing.
As of writing this, I have useless solar panels and it's late Nov. 2020.
I hope to have them turn on by the end of the year, but with this company, I'd be lucky to have them on by Valentine's Day.
Edit July 7, 2025
My solar panels have broken down twice in the last five years. The customer service might as well be nonexistent for warranty. I've tried calling many times over the past week and only get hung up on by their computer system. Then, I finally was able to get a hold of someone, and they told me I was in queue to get them fixed. They said it'll take 3 to 4 weeks to get back to me to make the appointment. I didn't pay 30k for my panels to be down for a month each time their wiring broke. -
Our salesmen, Kash and Clint, went above and beyond in explaining solar to us and showing the benefits for us. I was a tough sell because I had some misinformation and they were great at answering questions and showing me proof visually. They won me over for sure. It was a tough sale for them but I now sing their praises. I will be giving their information within my neighborhood community.
The installers were very professional. They worked diligently and efficiently. We are currently not hooked up to solar yet as we are waiting for inspection. The only thing we would suggest is that when they are done, they should let the homeowner know because our team did not inform us when they left for the day. Other than that it was a great experience. Thank you so much -
Worked through Vivint to get solar panels, was promised $1500 dollars once we had solar panels installed. Panel were installed and still have not recieved our money but have been billed for panels. Spoke with 3 diffrent reps one from Vivint, one from Trismart Solar and another from Everbright neither of them will take responsibility. I wouldn’t do business with any of these companies. The customer service is terrible and neither will lift a finger to make this right.
2 months later and I have yet to receive any help. I have attached the text from the sales rep. -
The process was great. We had a zoom meeting where they presented the proposal and answered all our questions. There were several steps that need to be done once the proposal was accepted. It all went off without a hitch. I am extremely happy with the results. My monthly solar payments combined with my monthly utility bill are always less than what I used to pay just for utilities. During the summer I had my house at a very comfortable setting, honestly sometimes I was too cold and my utility bills were below $10. I highly recommend going solar and I highly recommend this company. Great service.

I had some more panels added by TriSMART. When this was done they took down my existing solar panels and never communicated to me that was going to happen. I had to find out later after looking in my Solar Edge app that provides my panel data. Then I have been contacting them to have someone come out. After a few days they are telling me they have opened a ticket for service, which is 24-48 hours. I understand service request can take a couple of days but my existing panels have been out of service since June 6, 2024 and it's 6/24 and they are still down. This isn't starting off good with TriSMART and I'm hoping I didn't make a bad decision by going with from a referral of Vivint.
Update...I had to have my first solar panel company resolve the issued with some of existing solar panels not working. Tri-Smart offered to reimbursement me for a month of my CPS bill. As of right now all have been working fine so I have updated my review. -
I just went solar! My TriSMART representative, Charlie, was very professional and explained every last detail, answering all my questions. Their electrician also went above and beyond! Everyone involved was professional and courteous, and all appointments were kept in a punctual manner! Excellent service and great experience!

Panels are not generating near enough electricity for what the specs say they should. Atrocious customer service as I have called them 6 or 7 times over the past 6 months trying to figure out why my panels are underperforming. Every time I get a hold of someone (IF I can get a hold of someone due to their long wait times), they say they have to contact someone from the monitoring department and they will call me back. They never call me back and every time I call them back, it’s the same situation. Extremely frustrating dealing with a sub-par product and absolutely appalling customer service.
