Heron does a good job. They’re professional and their Associates are dedicated and careful and well trained. They are personable and knowledgeable. Management needs to work on communication. I send phone calls and emails with no response from them and it’s very frustrating.

Heron for me was extremely expensive and their estimate was one and when I had to pay they raised it another $300.00 that I had to pay right on the spot; today they came to adjust some of the jets and they told me that if they fixed whatever wasn’t fixed at the time of the first service I had to cover it today $250.00. To me the person they sent is arrogant and not compassionate- he also threw garbage in front of my lawn from his truck. I paid $1,131.60 the original estimate was $831.60.

I have been a long time customer for several years and never had a problem. Since March 2025 the service has declined. I have had to call 4 times to complain and prior to this I never had to call their office.

We can not say enough about the great job that Heron Home has done for us Zach Emery is our steady technician. He is very knowledgable about all of our questions snd concerns. He is very personable and super friendly. Zach’s communication is a strong point as we always know when is on his way and he explains things throughly i highly recommend Heron Home bug service

We’ve been incredibly impressed with the service from Heron Lawn, especially thanks to the technician (Gamaliel Rivera), who treats our lawn. Since he began working on it, our grass has never looked better. He’s consistently effective, professional, courteous, and respectful. I truly appreciate not only the excellent results, but also the care and respect he shows for our property. He is a great reflection of the company’s high standards.

Absolutely terrible service. My regular tech was gone for a period of time for some reason (he was always great) and that is when the issue began. The problem was blamed on my irrigation citing drought. That prognosis came only after months of poor service and/or no response at all to my efforts to quickly have the actual issue addressed. My irrigation was and is perfect, in fact. I had it looked at just to be sure I wasn't missing something. My lawn was not dry when this happened. The lawn was too wet due to days of rain in the spring. A fungus developed at that time, which is why I keep lawn pest service to begin with actually. My backyard is prone to fungus every spring. But they wouldn't have known that was the problem because by the time someone showed up it was far too late. *Someone* dropped the ball again and again despite my continued attempts to get the problem addressed. My backyard is dead and will need to be resodded. I canceled service and refused to pay the bill. After all of this poor service, and totally dead lawn, they refused to wave that fee and even sent me to their internal collections department. I relented and paid the bill just to be done with this headache. Again, poor customer service. I get to dish out the money to lay new sod, but their priority, that big ole $90. Support a locally owed pest control company, not Heron. My irrigation system - still perfect.

I would never get service by this company just because of how horrible this driver was. Ran a stop sign and cutting in front of other cars, for what? How much do you hate the company you work for that you are screaming “We as a company don’t care”.

Angel has been servicing our house for several years now and has done a wonderful job! He is always friendly and helpful. Upon starting our Heron service, he was able to eliminate a bug issue we had that a competitor did not take care of…and the bugs have not returned since. We are very happy with our Heron pest control service!

Gregory Tucker is the Heron Technician who has been spraying my house for many years. His professional and personal level far exceeds any job requirements or function expected as a front line employee. He definitely cares for his customer providing a quality service which has been lost by many. He always does a great job and is very efficient. Representing quality and provides a personal touch. He is a great asset to the customer and representative for your company. His service is greatly appreciated.

Very disappointed with Heron. Been having this issue for at least 2 months and each time they come out, I get a different story about what is causing the grass to die. Most recently they told me I needed to increase watering because of heat damage. Yesterday I was told it is fungus because of too much water. They also can't get weeds under control.

WARNING!⛔️ This company is completely a fraud. They came to my house to do an inspection and Mr. Christian Rodríguez, a technician from this company Heron, told me that the backflow in my house was damaged and that my sprinkler system wasn't working, all because the pipes in the backflow froze during the winter and my sprinkler system wasn't functioning. When that man told me this, I found it impossible to believe because here in the state of Florida, it doesn't freeze to those levels. That man told me the charge would be $685 for the repair. I was in doubt and called another technician from a different company to verify if this man was telling the truth and it turns out that this man from Heron lied to me. The other person I hired told me that the backflow was fine, that he just took the spring inside and moved it so that it would leak water and seem like it was damaged. Additionally my sprinkler system wasn't damaged; it just had a wire that came loose and he simply fixed it and all my sprinkler started working perfectly. My house is only two years is a New house and this man from HERON wanted to deceive me to charge me all that money. I called the company and reported it.

When you are told that the backflow is damaged be very careful because it is simply to deceive you and charge you all that money. This company is terrible, full of deceit and if you don't know about mechanisms, you will obviously be paying that money. But before taking a step consult with other people for a second opinion. This happened to me in the Polk County area where I live. The name of the inspector from HERON is Christian Rodríguez, truly a bad technician and a liar.

Like the last two 1 star reviews, my yard looks terrible. We’ve been loyal customers for over 10 years without any issues until this year. We used to have a yard we were proud of, but now it is embarrassing. Over the last several months, we’ve received conflicting explanations for the decline. On one occasion, it appeared the technician didn't even treat the yard-he simply placed a sign, and others confirmed there were no notes indicating any issues with my yard.
Ive been told multiple times that someone would come out, but no one ever showed. Recently, the territory manager, Jon visited. I told him we would not pay another dime. He was apologetic, said he understood, and promised to make things right. He committed to aerating the yard last Tuesday and then plugging it at no charge. I was hopeful we could turn things around. Unfortunately, he was a no-show. I called the office last week to report this, but haven't heard back from anyone. I recommend staying away from Heron until they resolve their service issues and restore the level of quality and reliability they once provided.

We recently had new sod installed and initially hired another company whose work unfortunately caused significant damage to our lawn. After that experience, we reached out to Heron, and our technician, Patrick Collier, truly exceeded our expectations by bringing our grass back to life. At one point, we genuinely believed the lawn was beyond saving, so we were extremely impressed and grateful for Patrick’s expertise and dedication.

Shortly after the lawn recovered, we experienced a cold freeze that caused the grass to die back again. Once more, we thought it was a total loss - but Patrick was able to revive it yet again. Today, our lawn is not only healthy but thriving more than ever.

We especially appreciate that Heron maintains consistency with technicians, as it allows Patrick to become familiar with our lawn’s specific needs and patterns. His knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism are evident in every visit. He consistently takes the time to explain the treatments, what to expect, and how our lawn is progressing, which we truly value.

Overall, we could not be more pleased with the level of service we have received. Patrick’s expertise and commitment have made a noticeable difference, and we highly recommend both him and Heron to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality lawn care.

Disappointing! Have been with this company a number of years. They apparently were bought out at some point and have new ownership. My lawn began dying from untreated grubs a few months ago. These pics from September 2025. It’s now December 2025 and my lawn looks horrendous. They still bill you the same and I’ve requested new sod in damaged areas no response. Additionally the manager’ who recently called me said to wait to see how my lawn looks in the spring//?. That’s just shy of an almost a year (9 mos) my lawn has looked horrendous even under consistent treatment and proper watering. They should have treated for the grubs without me having to point it out and they are not willing to make it right. Making this review after speaking to the ‘manager’. I just want sod replacement in the damaged areas or bill credit reflecting the amount for me to pay a company to do this service. They have made enough money from me over the years to justify this. I have never complained in the almost 15+ years of using this company on and off (but mostly on).
