My wife and I wanted to renovate our master and guest bathrooms. Both bathrooms were too dark and the master bathroom had functional issues. Our home has Spanish architecture such as arches and wrought iron so we wanted to stick to this theme. We did an extensive search for a contractor using the internet and word-of-mouth. We selected Syrus Construction.

We did not regret our decision. Syrus Construction did a great job. Syrus Construction worked with us to ensure we had the design and looks we were trying to achieve with our renovations.

When the worked started Syrus used paper sidewalks and plastic screens to ensure the other parts of the house did not get dusty and dirty from construction work. Syrus gave us a weekly schedule of work and coordinated daily to ensure we knew what was happening. All workers were courteous and cleaned up after the construction work. We had to work around a hurricane and a health issue encountered by us. Note: both of us suffer from an auto immune issue and Syrus Construction made sure all workers and subs wore masks in the house.

At the end of the construction, we got two bathrooms that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Matt and his staff.

We live in Apollo Beach and we had Syrus do a complete kitchen and two bath remodels for us along with all new vinyl plank flooring and trim throughout most of the home. The tile contractor they used was exceptional installing a combination of marble and ceramic tile in the guest bath and all marble in the primary bath. The overall experience was great! They were very helpful (especially Katie the office manager) during the selection phase when picking out kitchen & bath cabinets, counter tops and trim. We were able to see renderings of the kitchen space in advance to visualize what it would look like when it was done. They communicated well during each phase of the process. Their subcontractors were respectful of our home when they were in it. They always showed up when they said they would. No major remodel comes without some surprises and adjustments during the process, but Syrus (meaning Katie) made sure that we got what we wanted and that we were happy with the end result. We now have a remodeled home we always dreamed of! We highly recommend them if you are considering a remodel project.

My husband and I decided to do a remodel of our Mirabay Home after owning for 8 years. We changed the home from a “coastal Beach cottage” look to a contemporary, new vibe look and feel. Matt and team were wonderful to work with from start to finish; and kept us updated and informed thru the entire 3-3 1/2 month process while we were selling a home out of state. The quality, workmanship and professionalism was priceless and we could not be happier with our new home! I highly recommend Matt, Katie, and the entire team for any job you may have — big or small! There were no unauthorized extras or surprises, the quality was outstanding and completed as promised — within schedule. Our project involved new flooring thru out, complete kitchen and Master bath renovation, new, custom wine bar, new lighting and plumbing throughout and new HVAC system.

CHOOSE SYRUS: let me start with a little backstory, I always am very careful when choosing any high ticket remodel project. In this particular case we chose each other and that is how Matt operates. I was impacted by flooding with Hurricane Helene while my wife was 7 months pregnant and Christmas approaching. I also have a 4 month old, I told Matt all I wanted was to be able to have a Christmas tree by Christmas for my son. Fast forward through a great communication process he met that need. December 22nd the walls may have not been painted yet but we were able to have Christmas, the 23rd our second son came after 1 night back in our bed and we had a place to bring a newborn. Incredible work and quality work, my home is absolutely stunning and we are happier than we were before the flood event!

Matt did a fantastic job on my kitchen. He always goes out of his way in each step of the renovation to insure that you are satisfied. He even did other work for me that was not in the scope of his quote at no charge. Give Matt a chance, he won’t disappoint. I have had numerous compliments on my kitchen remodel.

This team was the best! I say team because everyone from the owner, office staff and contractors were all top notch. We've completed several remodel projects over the last five years and this was our last project to complete the finished vision we had hoped for. We decided to use Syrus construction since the passing of our former contractor. We did our research, spoke with others who used them and were very impressed with the level of attention we received prior to making our selection. It paid off. After water intrusion from Helene, we decided to renovate our whole house, which was a very overwhelming feeling for us on how to proceed. At our first interview in our house with Matt, he took the time to provide his credentials and provide a detailed explanation of how he could accomplish our large project. His professionalism, empathy to our situation, and attention to our goals made our decision to hire him a relief to know we would be in good hands. Throughout the whole project Matt and Katie, his assistant, were very attentive to all our requirements, were in constant communication, and easy to reach at all times. They guided us through every stage of the project, and made sure every detail was completed properly. We are now enjoying our beautiful newly remodeled home. 6 months ago, we decided to tackle some major home improvements, aiming for an open kitchen concept. However, we were initially discouraged after being told by several contractors that the columns in our living room were connected to the kitchen wall and couldn’t be removed without addressing a structural beam. The quotes we received were vague, overpriced, and didn’t even include wall removal, as they required additional engineering consultations.

Feeling disheartened, we came across Syrus Construction a few weeks later and requested a quote. Syrus Construction stood out immediately with their reasonable pricing, detailed breakdown, and proactive approach—they had the wall inspected by an engineer before we even signed a contract.

Katie, Matt, and his crew were incredibly professional, completing the entire project within two months, even with delays caused by a hurricane. The transformation of our builder-grade kitchen and living room into a stunning open-concept space exceeded all expectations. Every time our family steps into the room, we are still amazed by the incredible work Syrus Construction delivered. I cannot recommend them enough!

We contracted with Syrus Construction in November 2022 to completely renovate our 1,100 square foot condo in Ruskin, Florida. This project included re-piping all the plumbing, rewiring all the electrical, raising part of the ceiling, remodeling two bathrooms and the kitchen, new flooring, new HVAC system and venting, new trim molding, new inside doors, new closet doors, removing popcorn ceiling, and painting all ceilings and walls. The estimated time for completion of the project was six months.
The project was finished within the initial estimated six-month timeline. This feat is attributed to the following important factors:

We enjoyed working with Matt and the various work crews who cleaned up the construction dust and materials at the end of each workday. They were all trustworthy, talented, and competent. We would use Syrus Construction again and highly recommend them for any remodeling/construction project.

we have had the pleasure of using Tampa Back Contracting for several projects, for my uncle & for us. My uncle's house needed two different modifications to the floor that TBC did a superior

Myles was a great contractor to work with. They were able to complete my addition in the time frame they said and it was during the holidays where most people take off but his subs were always there. He gave me a great price and even with the drive from Apollo Beach to Dpring Hill was able yo beat all local conteactors that bid my job.All of the subs did good work and if I needed anything else done he would be my first call.

I’m impressed with their professionalism and quality of service. They completed the project exactly as discussed and maintained high standards. The team was cooperative and very easy to work with.
