I completely re-sodded my front yard and had Evergreen start treating it. The yard was so green, and looked so good, before they started, I got compliments. Several months into their “service” there were several different types of weeds rampant in the yard as well as dead spots.I received several notices, prior to my last treatment, that they would be here, as I have to unlock the gate to treat the back yard. They did not show up on either of those days, yet finally made it out a week later. I called, and spoke with a very Professional young Lady about my dissatisfaction with how my yard looked, and she in turn had a “manager” call me a few days later. He stated he would come out and take a look on Thursday, or Friday, of that week. As I would not be able to be present, which was my preference, he said he would call me with his findings, and he would set up a follow up treatment. After not hearing from him in over a week I called again and the Lady said she would have him call. After waiting over a week, I called to inquire about the day the “follow up treatment” would be done. The Lady I spoke with on this occasion said that the “manager” had been out the Friday prior (which was not the week he said he’d be here). She began laughing during our conversation, and when I asked what she found funny, she again laughed. Though the first Lady I spoke with weeks ago, was very Professional, I found this Lady to be very unprofessional, especially under the circumstances of dealing with an unhappy customer. When first calling in one gets the recording that “calls may be monitored for training purposes”, or of that nature. I recommend Evergreen Management listen to the recording of my call. Obviously, based on my “customer service” experience, as well as the poor condition of my yard, I cancelled my “service”. Pictures included.

Tyson has been our lawn tech for multiple visits, and we couldn’t be happier with his service. He is always professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain what he’s doing and makes sure our lawn is getting exactly what it needs. We truly appreciate his consistent, high-quality work and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

I've used Evergreen Lawn for twenty years. I almost changed in January of this year, but Joe came out and evaluated my lawn and made sure that my lawn would be taken care of. He was true to his word and insured that I have had the same technician month after month (Keith, who always comes to my door and listens to my concerns. He is professional and friendly). Today I had a question about my bill and the young lady, V helped me take care of it. She was patient and personable as well. You might get a little better price elsewhere, but EVERGREEN is my recommendation for lawn care.

I hired Hooper’s Landscaping & Nursery Inc. to install new sod after having a pool put in. Although he was one of the higher quotes that we received, I chose them because they were a local Apopka business and I felt Mr. Hooper would stand behind his work.
When it got closer to the time I needed the sod I explained that I wanted the sod removed first and the soil prepared prior to having the new sod put down. Mr. Hooper told me that they were coming into their busy season and it was best to put the sod down right away. My old lawn was actually still being cut out when the truck arrived to deliver the new sod. Workers were removing, raking and placing new sod down on a Friday in March. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough sod and they returned the following Monday and completed laying all of the sod in my front yard. Two days later, we experienced a severe frost. I am surprised that a company in the landscaping business doesn’t track the local temperature and weather in order to protect their product from becoming damaged. The sod did receive a shock and it took additional time to start rooting. In May, when portions of the lawn weren’t growing properly, I contacted Quality First, a lawn care company recommended by Mr. Hooper. The gentleman showed us parts of my lawn which had pythium fungus. Pythium fungus is a root disease. I contacted Mr. Hooper and explained the situation. He acknowledged that pythium fungus can sometimes come with the new sod and he would give me pieces of sod so I could replace the bad ones. He did say that he would wait until he had a job which provided leftover pieces. It’s the end of August and I have never received any sod.
Throughout the summer the pythium fungus spread and parts of my lawn started dying. You can actually see the tire tracks from where the heavy equipment drove on my lawn to get to the back yard. I took a sample of that area of my lawn to the Orange County Extension Education Center and delivered it to the plant clinic. They confirmed that I had pythium disease and that the soil was too compacted in the area due to the heavy equipment riding on it. They also said that the soil in that area should have been tilled prior to new sod being installed because the soil was too compacted and the roots could not grow properly. In addition, the heavy rains that we had this summer caused that area not to drain properly and remain saturated with water which also contributed to the pythium fungus. I hired Hooper’s Landscaping & Nursery because I felt they were professional and knew their business. Unfortunately, I now feel that he just wanted to rush the job and not do it correctly just so he could collect the $7,100 for this job.
I contacted Mr. Hooper in August to tell him that I am now looking to replace parts if not all of my lawn and I wanted to see if he would do anything about it. He came by and looked at it and then contacted me. He acknowledged that some areas were hit pretty hard but that the sod only had a 30 day warranty. His workmanship and the improper prepping of the soil is the issue that I am questioning and I told him so. I feel that for $7,100 for a 9000 square foot lawn, I would expect Mr. Hooper to stand behind his work. I would not recommend Hooper’s Landscaping & Nursery Inc. for your sod needs. -
Paul and his team are very professional and always do a killer job! I will not use any other tree service!
Thank you! -
We had a great experience with this company! A few weeks ago they came out and cleaned up several of our large oak trees, cleared up the back fence line, and removed the top of a super overgrown and dead crepe myrtle. The difference it made to our yard is incredible.
The crew did an amazing job and were a pleasure to work with. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. Paul and his nephew were very receptive to what we wanted and made sure everything was done exactly the way we asked before they wrapped up.
They also took care of all of the debris and our yard was spotless when they left. Before finishing, they had us do a walkthrough to make sure we were happy with everything. When we pointed out a couple of additional things, they were more than happy to take care of them right away.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the service and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing tree work done. -
