I recently had the pleasure of using Reliable Raymond's services and couldn't be more satisfied. He effortlessly installed my microwave and dishwasher. Raymond is both personable and professional, offering a wealth of knowledge and valuable advice on every project. His expertise in fixing, repairing, and installing surpasses anything you’d find at Home Depot. I'm thrilled to have discovered such a wonderful handyman and look forward to hiring him again in the future. Highly recommended! Reliable and trustworthy.

I contacted this company for assistance with hanging an exterior light and finishing trim around the interior of our front door. On the phone when scheduling, Raymond was polite in explaining that the light would be no problem, but that trim and drywall isn't normally something he'd do because of time constraints with drywall. I explained to him that the drywall was done, we just needed trim cut and put in place around the door. He agreed to do this and was scheduled to come out to our home, and my husband took the day off of work specifically for this.

A minimum job pricing was never mentioned when scheduling this job, and in our error we allowed an electrician (on site for something unrelated to what we contacted Raymond for) to assist us with hanging the exterior light prior to Raymond's arrival. Because of this, when Raymond arrived at our home, he was unhappy to find that the light had been completed. My husband then showed him the door we were hoping to have done, which is when Raymond mentioned the $200 minimum by saying that the job wouldn't meet that. But instead of talking to my husband calmly about it, Raymond stormed out of the house in the middle of my husband apologizing for the misunderstanding. Raymond's response was a very sarcastic remark about driving across town for this, and the misunderstanding as "not cool, bubba".

To be clear, at this point we were more than willing to pay the $200 minimum for the trim to be done because of our time constraints and desire to have the job done for family to visit this weekend. But Raymond didn't attempt to negotiate this with my husband, instead continued to leave abruptly without responding until my husband asked if he was really just taking off. Raymond response to this was "unless you're willing to pay $200 for me to hang trim."

At this point, because of how Raymond reacted and spoke to my husband, he decided against negotiating any job completion with Raymond and informed him that we'd be leaving a review on the experience and to have a good day. Raymond responded to this with "go ahead, I'll be fine."

This interaction is recorded and described here verbatim. This entire interaction was extremely disappointing, considering that he named his company "Reliable Raymond" - this would have been a very easy $200 job, but instead Raymond acted like a child and wasted my husband's time and his own time.

Perhaps explaining a $200 minimum at the time of scheduling would help. While there were faults and misunderstandings on our end, Raymond was incredibly rude and stormed off instead of discussing the issue like an adult.

***Edit, since there seems to be no response option: To correct you, we didn't hire someone else to do the same job. We hired someone else for something UNRELATED, and he happened to do the light as a last minute thing while he was there. Again- this was a misunderstanding and an error on our part. I shouldn't have to explain or justify this, but we had exterior outlets that needed to be installed properly, but go ahead and claim we hired someone else to do what we hired you for. This is simply incorrect.

You quoted me $150 for the light and said you would look at and finish the trim, you certainly did NOT mention a minimum of $200. Had we known, we would've made it clear that we were willing to pay whatever to get a job done.

Your behavior in regard to a misunderstanding and lack of communication was rude and abrasive. Your response to an honest review inappropriately pushes blame back onto the would-be customer, but looking at other responses to bad reviews I guess I shouldn't be surprised. No matter what the situation was, there are ways to handle it and communicate appropriately and calmly, and you failed to do that.

Raymond’s service was top notch! Will absolutely be calling him again. From the initial phone call through clean up he was great. He helped us change 2 doors in our garage area. Raymond showed up early and prepared with the supplies. He was very easy, and funny, to work with. His attention to detail was great (e.g. he matched the hardware shape and finish to the hardware in our house). Highlight recommend!

Raymond was not only reliable but you can add dependable, thorough and professional to his list of adjectives. We just returned from vacation to a broken water heater and cold showers. After spending money on vacation, the last thing we wanted to do is spend more money. Raymond came the same day as we called and gave a great price utilizing his discounts at the local store. He was quick and his work was clean as he removed all the trash and garbage acquired. We even had him come back the next day to fix our sink and garbage disposal because his prices are fair. We were glad we did because he caught an electrical issue that was nearing to become a real fire hazard! It's so good to have a handyman you can trust!! Thank you Raymond!!

Raymond was a life saver. I had a leak in my bathroom and he came right away and fixed it. Gave me the price and stuck to it. He even fixed my closet door on the way out! I really appreciate his fast, honest, and good quality work!

Raymond , did an amazing job !! He took out garbage disposal and put in new sink basket also repiped under sink . His price was far better than any other handyman or plumber company! He also was professional and trustworthy ! I will definitely use him in future !!

Raymond was amazing. I was trying to put a fan up and couldn’t figure it out. Called he answered right away and tried to help me for free over the phone. I still couldn’t figure it out because I’m not an electrician. Raymond said let me see what I can do. He was very busy and took the time work me in that day. To my surprise he txted 20 minutes later saying g he was on the way. He was awesome. Had fan up and running in no time. I’m new to the area and it’s nice to have honest hard working people like Raymond. He is my list of people to co text for help now.

Ray is experienced, professional and fair with pricing. He helped me get outdoor security cameras mounted and configured quickly. I highly recommend his handyman expertise.

we just moved into the house, not even two weeks and we had a recommendation to use Raymond.

he told me initially that he wouldn’t do the job for us unless it was a total of $150 so we added some other jobs.

He came and he did the jobs that we asked of him. When he finished his jobs, he then told us the total. He never gave me a quote prior to doing the job and to my surprise it was four times more than what I expected to pay him!!

I find it very unprofessional of him to throw me a number that was THAT HIGH! he never prepared me for it…just said “oh I am a lot less expensive than other handymen“. Since we just moved into the area, I didn’t have any other references to counter that argument.

Needless to say, I will never use him again.

I ended up finding another handyman that was very reasonable in his quotes to me. I gave him another task to do while he was here and he still kept it at a low charge! NO SURPRISES!

Days after the job was done I even called Raymond back to fix an issue I had with the task that he did… I thought I’d give him another opportunity to rectify the situation since I paid so much money for his services. He never Came back to the house to help me with the issue , he just texted me his solution which i didn’t agree with. Not once thinking outside of the box.

**A different sales person that I had at my house figured out how to solve my issue, thinking outside of the box of which Raymond didn’t have the intelligence/patience to do!

In a nutshell, I would never recommend this guy to anyone else!

Raymond does amazing work! He helped my husband and I get some things we needed done quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend him for all your repair work.

I was having trouble with installing a new flush valve on my toilet. I called Raymond and he was out within a couple of hours. Even when there was difficulty removing a bolt he reassured me that it would be fixed. I so appreciate the prompt response and the professionalism. I would definitely give Raymond a call again!

I Called Raymond on Wednesday when I first noticed the problem with my garbage disposal not only was he willing to come that afternoon and fix it I told him we'd make an appointment for morning. He contacted me on his way over and come to find out my garbage disposal all it needed was the reset button pushed in. He was very honest and he did not want to take any money from me. Time is worth money. He came to my house intending to replace my garbage disposal. I plan on hiring him for any jobs I'll have around the house here in Cape Coral. I am 100% satisfied and I'm glad to find myself someone who can help me with any of the issues I find around my house. Thank you Raymond, you're the best 👍
