I called Independent Air on July 6 as my thermostat kept going up to 85 degrees but it was set at 79 degrees. I was told they would be out that evening. On July 7 I heard nothing so I called at 3 pm with my AC thermostat at 84 degrees and was told their busy find some one else to help me. I am a 70 year old woman with a medical issue where I can't breathe in high humidity. They couldn't call and let me know they were to busy????? I was waiting for help! You hire them it's on you. When the old manager was with the company he (Bernie) would never have done this to someone that requested help. Welcome to the new workforce of America!

I have to say that I am completely satisfied in the service and workmanship I received from Independent AC! They were very prompt with the scheduling of the service. This company really cares about the consumer and their staff are very professional and friendly , I really loved to do business with them, a very positive experience.

I wake up today at 4 am because the AC was not working. I called the company and Bernie answered the phone. He came at 9:30am as promised to inspect the AC. He couldn't find anything wrong with the AC. It could be a low voltage issue that caused a hiccup. Because he didn't fix anything and didn't charge us. What?? This is how you run a company successfully for 25 year!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I have used Bernie for years for all my A/C repairs. They have always come right out and gave me honest services at reasonable prices. I would never call anyone else for my A/C needs!

Jason is awesome. Also, I'm so grateful that Independent A/C was the only company I called who answered the phone when I made a handful of calls bc my a/c was not working. Jason fixed the issue (temporarily), & helped find the leak. He also suggested we check if the unit is still under warranty (it was!). The office handled contacting the manufacturer & getting the new coil. But, I've had working a/c in the mean time! I also purchased the yearly service contract. Very pleased with the service and professionalism!

Bernie and Mary from Independent AC were lifesavers about 5 years ago.
We came to our SW home and realized that our AC was not working. Bernie came out on a weekend evening and was able to determine the problem. At that moment they became our HVAC maintenance company. Twice a year Mary would call and we would coordinate when we were there. I had extreme confidence in their experience and honesty. I trusted them to access the property of need be and they kept me up to date on any issues that might affect the performance of our HVAC system. I have used Independent AC for about 10 years now. My first experience was after a different company diagnosed my AC with having bad coils and other problems requiring a new AC after about 45 mins of checking it and gave an estimate of $7,000+.

Bernie was on site on time, diagnosed the real problem in like 5 minutes (a small leak from a hole in the line outside) repaired it and recharged my system. This was about 10 years ago and it's still working great! His repair bill was well under 1/10 of the other estimate and he was done in about the time the scammer took to "diagnose" the problem.

I have had his company back for routine maintenance and replacing a capacitor since, both very cheap and quick. This is my go to AC company. Consider me a die hard customer.

I have used Independent Air exclusively for many years because they are the best. Bernie and his staff are fabulous, reliable, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest. I am thankful we have such a reputable company to rely on for all our air conditioning needs and service. I would never think of calling anyone else. In a word, they are “Awesome”.

I’ve been using Independent Air Conditioning since 2012 and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Bernie is friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, committed to customer service and, above all, a truly honest businessman. Bernie will let you know when you’re A/C needs service but, more importantly, he’ll also tell you when just an adjustment or minor repair will suffice.

Was not happy with the fact they were no call no show. Week after the hurricane the electricity was working and the AC was not. We called captain cold and they said they would be out later that day. We stayed home and waited and waited. We called back and they never answered the phone. So we called another AC company which did show up that day. We got a call 3 days after from captain cold saying they are ready to come out and check our AC.
