Reviews of local pros in Clearwater, Florida

Tropical pools did a great job on our new pool. They were professional and were quick to give updates.

We met with 9 pool companies over the course of several months. Regan was the only salesperson to actually listen to us and provide a rendering of what we asked for without missing anything the first time. Our space was tight, but we were able to execute the way we wanted. He was patient, honest, easy to work with and not pushy.

During construction we ran into some obstacles from the county inspectors and a widely used subcontractor. Curtis was always available to take my calls and texts both during and after hours. Our experience wasn't flawless (but really, if you've ever built anything....is it ever? ;)) but the professionalism and commitment to making things right is ultimately what matters most, and Curtis did just that. We are happy with our finished product and would choose Tropical Pools and Pavers again.

Also, Greg the tile guy is the best!

Ronnie and Curtis and the office staff were perfect to work with. Answered all of our questions along the whole process. Our pool turned out so much better than we could have ever imagined.

We went through Tropical Pools to build a pool for our new home, and it turned out to be everything they promised. Ronnie and his team were incredibly patient and handled everything from start to finish with professionalism and care. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to build a new pool or simply wanting an honest opinion. They truly delivered.

We recently completed a project with TP&P. We had a great experience with them from estimate to selections to build. We felt they communicated great along the way and built a lovely pool!

I just wanted to say that from the beginning of our project Jon understood exactly what we wanted. Design was received quickly and project was started and finished before the time line they gave us. Throughout the process, Curtis (project manager) was responsive to concerns. Everything is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier!

We have been very pleased with our entire experience with Tropical Pools! You hear horror stories, so it's always challenging to go into a project this big, but Jon (our sales person) was absolutely stellar and Curtis was communicative and helpful throughout. All of the construction workers from start to finish were polite, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. Just a totally positive experience from start to finish.

I cannot even begin to explain how amazing this company has been.

Tropical Pools and Pavers saved us from what felt like an exhausting, never ending nightmare. The previous pool co (who I will give no credit to by mentioning their name) left us with a hole in our back yard for 6 months, 54k of our dollars and heading into Florida's rainy season. Tropical Pools went over and beyond to work with us in getting this project finished. Every contractor for each phase of the project was professional and did some amazing work. Special thanks to Jon and Curtis for being so empathetic to our situation. They kept us well informed from start to completion.

Thank you again to this amazing team and God bless

Tropical Pools and Pavers did an OUTSTANDING job from beginning to end on our new pool. They started from scratch and once the trees were removed they started right away! The process went just as they described from digging to the pouring of the shell, electrical and plumbing work, spa design, travertine deck installation, pool screen install and maintenance of the pool to salt water. We have been extremely happy with their contractors, Curtis the owner, Regan our sales rep and their office staff. I would HIGHLY recommend them for your pool!!!! and FYI their contractors are very happy with them and say they pay on time and are very good to work with and for and I guarantee that's what makes the process go so smoothly!! Thank you to the Tropical Pool team for our new paradise.

Highly recommend Tropical Pools, it was a super easy process and they do keep their word on timing for pool completion. Regan our sales rep did an amazing job explaining the process and providing us exactly the design we wanted. Curtis on the construction side was awesome as well, made changes along the way to get our pool how exactly we wanted and never had any pushback and was very helpful. Very trustworthy pool contractor and they do keep their word on making a pool exactly how you want. Would definitely go with them if we build a pool again on a new property. Thank you Tropical Pools team! We love our pool!

What can I say …if you want the pool of your dreams, Regan at Tropical Pools and Pavers can make it come true. Bonus, He is also by far the friendliest pool sales representative of all the ones I interviewed. Once we decided to go with Tropical Pools and Pavers, Regan’s response time to questions, concerns and communication were exceptional! Sure, it took quite awhile, but it was well worth the wait to have a pool that’s the envy of your neighborhood! I wouldn’t just recommend Regan at Tropical Pools and Pavers, I would challenge any other pool company to paralell his masterpiece! Just feast your eyes upon the gloriousness!! Thank you Regan and Tropical Pool and Pavers!!

Tropical pools are absolutely the best from start to finish. I had a custom design and they made it real. They are always there when you need an answer for any questions. I can't say anything bad against them if your looking to pit a pool in or pavers they are the best

Very happy we went with Tropical Pools & Pavers. We had started the process with two other pool companies before contacting Jon from Tropical Pools and he completely sold us, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great pool building experience.

We are loving the pool Tropical Pools installed for us in 2019.

We just got our new pool filled (2019) and we love everything about it - the pool finish and quality, the water feature, the pavers, the cage. Tropical Pools has been fabulous in every way throughout the process from great attention to the design and accommodating our change requests to the excellent attitudes and workmanship of literally dozens of specialized workers. We greatly appreciate each and every one of them and we appreciate the seamless coordination that pulled the project together. If you are considering purchasing a new pool, understand that it is a multi-month, complex, and expensive project. We are VERY happy that we chose Tropical as they made that process virtually hassle-free and relatively affordable.

Can’t say enough good things. Had several bids for what we wanted and Tropical the most reasonable. The design process with Jon was very easy and enjoyable. Construction went very smoothly with great communication from Curtis and his team. Minor issues at completion were addressed promptly. The pool is exactly what we hoped for. Highly recommend.

Curtis, Regan, Laura and Gary were great to work with. Curtis, was extremely communicative during every aspect of the job and kept me informed with every step in the process. I could trust that the work would be completed when he said and he was flexible with his crew to accommodate a neighboring property’s request. The pool turned out incredible and was completed much quicker than I anticipated. Regan designed a beautiful pool and explained the process well from the beginning. Laura was helpful organizing inspections and keeping me up to date with the paperwork side of the process. Gary was such a great teacher during “pool school” and got the pool up and ready in no time. He made himself available for follow-up questions as well. Thank you to the entire team - each person was great at every step of the process.

We couldn’t be happier with our pool that was just completed by Tropical Pools! Jon was awesome designing a pool for the small space that we had and Curtis was awesome as well, on the site constantly making sure that the work was running smoothly. Highly recommend them!

Best decision we ever made! We met with multiple different companies in the area, and after Regan came to the house for a consult, we knew we wanted to move forward with Tropical Pools and Pavers. He was a pleasure to work with, communication about the project along the way was great, and all of the guys that came to the house worked very hard and were professional. Permitting with the city took about 4-6 weeks and once that was issued, construction start to finish was exactly 2 months. We will recommend this company to everyone. Beautiful pool, thank you Regan and Curtis for the wonderful experience. We would absolutely go with them again!

Following a recommendation from our contractor, we consulted with Curtis and Christian at Tropical Pool and Pavers. From the initial meeting through to the completion of the project, the team at Tropical Pool demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to quality service. At every step, their crew did an amazing job! Our pool, previously 20 years old and outdated, was transformed with new pavers, tile, coping, and pebbletec, resulting in a significant aesthetic upgrade. Their workmanship has greatly enhanced the appearance of our pool, and I am pleased to recommend their services.

From start to finish, working with Tropical Pools was an excellent experience. The design process was smooth and collaborative, and throughout construction, the entire team was professional, responsive, and focused on quality down to the smallest detail. We couldn’t be happier with how our pool turned out.

A special thanks to Reagan and Curtis, who were fantastic to work with and made the entire project enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommend Tropical Pools to anyone looking for top-notch design, craftsmanship, and service!

If you are in the market for a pool, I strongly urge you to contact Tropical. We talked to several pool companies and Tropical was by far the most reasonable and there were no high-pressure sales tactics. It was the most stress-free project my husband and I have ever experienced!! (We had a pool built at our previous house by another builder and that was a nightmare.) The whole process with Tropical was super easy and every person we encountered was professional and courteous. Regan, the designer, was a breeze to deal with and Ronnie was always available with clear and concise responses to any questions we had. Their teams showed up when Ronnie said they would, they were respectful of our property and every part of the build passed inspection the first time. And after the build, Christian showed up weekly to make sure everything was running properly. My only regret is that the pictures do not do the pool justice. To me, it is perfection, it is exquisite, it is a masterpiece. Special thanks to the tile guys that spent so much time perfecting the spa tiles. I know we had a rather difficult ask with that corner and it looks absolutely amazing! Thank you to Regan, Ronnie, Christian and everyone at Tropical! It was an absolute pleasure working with all of you!
