I hired Moody Plumbing to correct the pitch of my condominium’s AC drain line, a job for which I paid them nearly $600. This engagement was a complete failure, resulting in significant additional costs and property damage.

Incompetent Work and Code Violations:
The initial fix was ineffective and quickly failed to resolve the drain issue. Upon inspection by city code enforcement, it was confirmed that Moody Plumbing used electrical grade PVC pipe instead of the required plumbing grade, constituting a clear code violation. Furthermore, they failed to establish the proper pitch necessary for the drain line to function correctly.

Refusal to Honor Warranty & Significant Financial Loss:
When the faulty repair inevitably failed, Moody Plumbing did not honor their one-year warranty. This lack of accountability forced me to contract a different company at a considerable expense to properly re-pitch and fix the line and shoddy workmanship.

Extreme Property Damage:
During their repair attempt, their crew cut a large, unnecessary hole in my wall, ceiling. The subsequent drywall and painting repairs cost me hundreds of dollars and added substantial stress to the situation. The floor underneath the AC unit is also destroyed.

Finally, the customer service was rude and unprofessional. I also observed their personnel speaking with the AC company outside my unit before they came in, which was highly unusual and unprofessional.

In summary, Moody Plumbing provided incompetent service, committed a code violation, refused to stand by their work, and caused significant property damage. I paid them almost $600 for a repair that failed instantly, followed by hundreds more to fix their mistakes and damages. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for professional plumbing services.

Had previously used Moodys and was happy. Called them for a back up drainage issue on Monday and although I thought $910 was a lot I paid it and now 4 days later have the same issue. When calling them to come back, no apologies but told me $385 just to come out! They then told me they didn’t like my attitude when questioning the fee for a job that was completed only 4 days ago and ended the conversation by telling me to “find another plumber”! Wow talk about terrible attitude!!!

Beware, this company is a scammer. I was quoted $180 for the first hour. The repairman took approximately one hour to snake the line and put the toilet back. They charged me $705.00. Do not use them. They are dishonest and super overpriced. I've used Roto-Rooter in the past for the same work, and they only charged $190.00.

I sent an inquiry through the Moody website and Jamie reached out almost immediately. His communication was great and he asked the questions he needed to be able to help me. He also got me on the schedule in a reasonable turn around.

They solved the problem. But way too expensive. Never again
