When everyone says they are 24 hour Emergeny repair, and yet only one company in 40 that I called actually come out on Sunday night at 10 pm. Needed instant repair due to an edlerly living in the house who is fighting for his life. They understood and showed up with 20 minutes of me calling them. I went thru the google list, called 40 companies, the two guys that showed up were great. They looked at both of my units, one I fixed prior to them getting here, but the other they added frion and went ahead purchased a new system with them. Whoever showed up was going to get my business. These guys went above and beyond, working overtime is one thing, but they were compassionate, would not leave until we cooled off a bit. 10 year warranty on new system and the coastal package....can't wait of the install. Adding to this review. I've met 7 employees so far and everyone of them have been super helpful, thoughtful, and just plain ole good dudes! Can't recommend these guys any higher! Seriously well run business atleast from my perspective.

I paid for the estimate of replacement and installation of a condensing unit, $125.00.
I was told by the technician that I needed to replace everything, AHUnits and Condensing unit. For units that have an average lifespan of 10 years or less.

I'm still waiting for my credit card receipt. Please.

I recently purchased a condo, and the tenant living there was also the real estate agent for the sale. On the very last day of his stay, he told me the AC had suddenly stopped working and offered to call a technician.
When the technician arrived, he said the AC was “completely dead” and needed to be replaced. He claimed it was old, rusty, leaking, and had wiring problems. He offered a “temporary fix” for about $2,000 or a full replacement for $9,500.
Something felt off, so I decided to get a second opinion. Another licensed AC professional inspected the unit and found that the system was in good working condition. The only issue was that wires had been intentionally disconnected — one wire was even cut. Once reconnected, the AC worked normally with no problems.
This was a very concerning experience. While I cannot speculate on intentions, it was clear that the problem was not the AC itself, but deliberate disconnection. My advice: always get a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs or replacements.

Arrived home late Saturday and found water dripping from the ceiling where our AHU is located in the attic. Drain line was clogged and I was unable to vacuum it myself. It was a stubborn clog! I called Advance Cool Air and they arrived in an hour. Scooter was the tech who arrived and he was able to get it cleared. Very much appreciated!

Junior abd Kari showed up on time, explained all that had to be done, were courteous, polite quick. I was very satisfied with definitely recommend this company.

Vincent and the other technician( sorry I forgot name) were considerate of my individual needs and even went as far as to wash the vents ( which were super nasty) with a brush and solution that took off the grime and dirt that added so much to my allergic response to my new home. A 100 yr old beautiful piece of med architecture but not so great in the clean air dept!

Their entire model seems to be built around pressuring customers into expensive, unnecessary replacements rather than providing the service you actually asked for. I should have read the reviews before calling them, because now I see a consistent theme — people reporting the same aggressive upselling tactics that I experienced firsthand.

I found this company on Thumbtack and scheduled a simple coil cleaning to deal with a musky odor in my AC. Their technician, Jose, showed up promptly and was polite on the surface — even took off his shoes — but from the moment he looked at the unit, he insisted that a coil cleaning wouldn’t help. Instead, he claimed I had “serious” problems that required either replacing the coils entirely or, even worse, replacing my entire AC system.

What should have been a straightforward service call immediately turned into a high-pressure sales pitch. When I told him I needed time to think, he doubled down, offering me financing options on the spot and trying to push me into a massive purchase decision I never intended to make. Instead of leaving me with a cleaned system, I was left with 24 hours of stress, thinking my AC was failing.

The next day, I brought in a reputable HVAC technician — someone not incentivized to sell me new equipment — and he simply cleaned the coils as requested. The musky smell disappeared instantly. No coil replacement. No new system. No thousands of dollars wasted. Just the basic service I had originally asked for.

This company, however, left me with two outrageous quotes: one for coil replacement and one for a full system replacement. It’s painfully clear that their technicians are being incentivized to act like salespeople, not service professionals. The goal is not to fix your problem — it’s to frighten you into overspending.

Looking back, I regret not reading the other reviews first, because my experience lines up exactly with what many others have described. This is not an isolated case — this is a pattern.

⚠️ Be very careful. Do not let them pressure you into work you don’t need. Do not accept their “diagnosis” without a second opinion. Their business practices are aggressive, misleading, and predatory. There are honest HVAC professionals out there who will do what you ask, charge fairly, and treat you with respect. This company is not one of them.

I just done today a AC repair, they change the Capacitor 35 MF for 300.00, coil cleaner for 250.00 in my opinion it was at the cheapest way, and the connector for another 300.00, plus tax and credit card fee of 38.00 dollars. I would not recommend this company, due to very expensive cost.

the AC broke down at 9:30 PM on a saturday. i could not find anyone to fix it but Adance Cool Air sent a technitian and within the hour arrived and fixed the unit. awesome service. highly recommended

Called them to fix an issue with my heat and they quickly found the issue and made the repair and came back out after a thermostat problem. Very good service and communication with this company. I will definately call them if I have a future problem.
