Art and his son Wade are some of the most honest people I have ever met in business. They truly care about their customers and will tell you when something needs to be fixed. They do not try to sell you things you do not need and their rates are very fair. I will continue to use Shade A/C for all of our heating and cooling needs.

Arthur is an honest, hard-working repairman/businessman who believes giving his customers excellent service and a fair price is far more important than gauging unknowing customers who are at his mercy.
A perfect example: A competitor came to our home last night and after finding a leak and very little refrigerant in our system he wanted to charge us $1,200 plus a $79 service call charge. We don't know ANYTHING about AC but felt we were being ripped off. I called Arthur and left a message. Arthur had just recently put a Mitsubishi mini-split in our garage and gave us a great price and excellent service. He called the next morning and apologized that he was really busy that day (a Friday before a very hot weekend) but he would do his best to come by the end of the day. He called a half hour before coming and was at our house by 4:30. After examining our unit he said there was a leak he could easily weld/ patch and fill with refrigerant for $295. He was done before 6 pm but shared that he had four more customers to see before his day was done. He knows how important AC is and he doesn't want to turn anyone away if he can help it. Such a wonderful man! We highly recommend Arthur's company, Shades AC and Heating, Inc.

Shades Heat And Air Conditioning are a wonderful company. We definitely recommend to others and wouldn’t want to go to anywhere else. Arthur and his son Wade have very good work ethics, no pressure or upselling just an honest estimate at a fair price. It is very refreshing these days to get such excellent service from a company.

We were fortunate enough to find Shade’s number through Angies List last week. Our AC suddenly started heavily blowing hot air and we could not shut it down with the off switch on the thermostat. We had to shut the breaker box off. We called Shades and Arthur was there within 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem promptly as a fried circuit board and it needed a new blower control. His charges are very fair and reasonable and the service was excellent! He did not try to convince me to buy a new unit. I really appreciate his honesty!! When it is time for a new unit, Shades will be my first call.

We have been using Shades Air Conditioning for about 3 years now. They installed a brand new until in December of 2017. Art is an honest, great professional who will not disappoint. He’s gained my trust through the years. His son Wade is also great. He came out today to fix a leak in the connection to our unit. He was prompt, friendly and professional. Honest family business. Definitely recommend.

Arthur still runs his business like the good ole' days, a time when more businesses truly cared about their customers. I've been using him for over 10 years and he has saved me thousands (if not tens of thousands) over the years. While most of the big box stores always try to sell you a new AC, Arthur will try his hardest NOT to. If he can fix it, he will, and his costs are way more reasonable than pretty much anybody out there. Arthur and his son recently came out and rescued us at our new commercial building when we were in a bind. We are extremely grateful for his services. You are in good hands with this company.

Shades is a great Father and Son company. They installed a new AC system at the best price around with quality equipment. They also serviced a thermostat for me quickly again at a very fair price. Very nice, professional and honest.

We scheduled an annual inspection for our unit. The price was extremely fair. W le had had them out before to fix a broken part and found them to be great. I specifically asked for them to clean out the outside part. There was leaf debris and dog hair in the coils due to where the dryer vent is located. The guy said he did it. I went out there today and it clearly had not been cleaned. Not sure I would trust them again.

We had love Arthur and his sons service at our home. They have always done excellent service. When we had that cold snap this year our air conditioner froze over and they were going to have to get a part for us. We never heard from them again and we have left voicemails with no callbacks.

Arthur has helped us out twice with air conditioner problems and he is the best. Good service and gets the job done without any "big A/C company" games. Honest and reasonable cost. I highly recommend him and will only use him for our A/C needs.

Wade is a very honest and nice guy. He found the actual problem other air conditioning companies couldn’t and replaced it for us at a great price and did it immediately. Other companies were wanting to replace the whole unit for $10k-$20k.

Can’t recommend this company enough. I will be passing their info to everyone I know. Companies and employees like them should be receiving all the credit for their honest work.

Arthur was recommended by a realtor when I bought my house in 2018. He replaced the duct work, installed a new unit and he has installed/serviced our business as well. I have nothing but great things to say, 100% honest person sums it up. Thats not easy to find in Florida..:)

I had an excellent experience with Shades Air Conditioning & Heating. Arthur, the owner, was wonderful to work with from start to finish — clear, honest, and very responsive. He took the time to explain everything and made the whole process feel much less stressful.

Kevin, the installer, was equally outstanding. He arrived on time, was professional, respectful of my home, and did very clean, careful work. The installation went smoothly, and they made sure everything was working properly before they left.

Recently, I noticed blinking lights on the unit and wanted to be sure everything was okay. Arthur came out himself, checked the system, measured the airflow, and confirmed everything was operating exactly as it should.

I truly appreciate the time and care they take with their customers. Coming all the way from Pinellas County to Pasco County speaks volumes about their professionalism and commitment. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing A/C service or installation.
