Chris and his team were outstanding. Professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy...and the results were great. We hired them for a major project to remove numerous overgrown trees and bushes, to resod open areas, to test and fix a long dormant sprinkler system and to design & install landscaping in front of our house. We could not be more pleased with the results.

Veterans landscape did an amazing job on my yard! The follow through was perfect! The staff and management kept me informed all the way. The landscape looks amazing! I would highly recommend them. I will use them for all my landscaping needs. They even followed up two weeks after they completed to make sure everything was good!

As a veteran, I hired this veteran-owned company hoping for professionalism, integrity, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, I experienced the opposite. During the initial install, I had to address multiple concerns:
• The crew left the job site messy during and after work.
• They extended a bed past my property line and I had to ask them to move it back.
• In the process, they removed some plants and left them laying unplanted in the bed.
• They broke irrigation lines and did not test them—I had to discover leaks myself.
• There were several communication issues between the contract, text messages, and actual work performed.
Despite those early red flags, the most concerning issue is with the plant installation itself. I initially noticed some bushes looked like they weren’t fully in the ground. When I brought it up, I was told they "like to plant high," which didn’t sound right to me.
A few days later, I inspected some of the plants myself and found that they weren’t seated properly—some weren’t even covered with soil around the root ball. I emailed the company, and they came out about a week later. However, they didn’t properly fix the issue. For many plants, they just tossed dirt on top of the landscape fabric and then replaced the rock—completely defeating the purpose of the weed barrier.
I later pulled back some of the fabric myself and found multiple plants that had no soil anchoring them, only a hole in the sand beneath. I’ve had to replant some of them on my own, and others are likely to fail unless I completely redo the install myself.
This company was given multiple opportunities to fix the problem, including my feedback during install, a follow-up inspection and a formal email. I believe that’s more than fair. It’s frustrating to have spent good money on professional landscaping only to be left with an unfinished and poorly executed job. I cannot recommend this company, and I regret not doing more research before hiring them.

Follow-up (Regarding this companies response to my initial review):
To be clear: I paid for the drain line and have the invoice to prove it—regardless of what was said verbally. The sod they mention was primarily used to fix my neighbor’s yard after they mistakenly landscaped beyond my property line.
As for the claim that the “job turned out great”—sure, it might look fine in a photo taken right after installation. But how will it look in the weeks to come due to improper planting.
I don’t have an “axe to grind.” I wanted this to go smoothly. But based on their response—and their replies to other negative reviews—there’s a pattern of deflecting blame, exaggerating what was done, and refusing to take accountability.

Chris and his team did a phenomenal job landscaping around our newly built pool, putting in low voltage lighting, building a retaining wall and rerunning/fixing our sprinkler system. They showed up in time and completed the project in a timely manner at a very reasonable rate. I would highly recommend Veterans Landscaping to anyone looking to do any outdoor projects!

Joe and his team at KraussCare did an awesome job on our sold installation, landscaping and yard maintenance. Joe is very personable, dependable and customer focused. We would highly recommend KraussCare Landscaping. We definitely plan to use them again.

They go way beyond the call of duty. Very trust worthy. We are customers for basic lawn services and periodic irrigation repairs.

Answered on the first call, arrived on time, and solved my irrigation problems created by other irrigation services from the area. Outstanding job! Highly recommended and will definitely hire for future irrigation service needs.

Their crew accidently cut through our brand new $125 garden hose. They immediately offered to replace it with the same one. Great job on our lawn service and good integrity as well. Definitely recommend them!
