Chris was quick to respond and attentive to the details regarding our plans and budget. Respectful to his clients and knowledgeable in his field, he has chosen a like-minded team to install and make sure the job is done well. I recommend Veterans and will use them again.

We are very pleased with the lawn services that Chris and Tony provided and highly recommend them. They are very friendly, reliable, as well as providing a good job.
Chris provided an estimate for services which were reasonably priced. He took care of getting the lawn in shape with weeding, edging, mulching along with general cleanup. He also checked the sprinkler system getting it in working order, repairing and moving sprinkler heads as needed.
We are continuing with their services and will have them take care of the weekly lawn maintenance.

Last week...
I went with veterans law care at first because of the name and the website was so comprehensive . My father is a WWII vet and I have the upmost respect for those that serve.
Then when I found they give 10% back to veterans I knew this was the company I wanted to use.
Once I hired them to put in a 6 zone irrigation system , I continued to be impressed. As a new single home owner, I needed someone who would be extremely patient and give me options. That is just what they did. Beyond that I never felt pressured. As we started the process , I continued to be impressed with the knowledge and the many option they gave me.
The no “up sale pressure “ coupled with their professionalism yet highly personal approach continued to affirm my choice in Veterans Lawncare. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable and attention to detail service- they were hands down easy to work with and answered every question I had without hesitation. -
Chris and his team did a great job on our flower beds. We had them remove the old mulch and replace with rocks and replant all the plants. We also had them put in lighting. Chris is very professional and kept us up to date on his progress! We love what he designed for us.

Don't hesitate to hire Veterans. Chris and his crew are professional, honest, reliable and they deliver exactly as they promised. I couldn't be happier with my yard. I went from the ugliest yard to the most beautiful. I get daily compliments from all the neighbors walking by. They do an excellent job and the prices are extremely reasonable. I'm so pleased with Chris and his crew we have scheduled for them to start in the back yard. Don't have any worries about hiring Veterans. You will not be disappointed.

I have a large back yard that was full of weeds and poor sod because we were away a lot last year. So I hired Veterans Landscape Management to: Remove all weeds/sod and then re-sod, and design and create several planting areas for flowers shrubs, etc. This involved moving many plants, installing a 4 zone sprinkler system that included individual plant irrigation to save on water. I also decided I wanted a focal water feature that included a waterfall and planting area. He designed it and built it. I love it!
I initially was concerned when he told me that his company had not been in existence for very long. I had previously had some bad experiences with "young" companies. However Chris exudes confidence, is friendly and is easy to trust. He also has many years of experience in this field. He gave me a proposed design sketch with many good ideas. I am a veteran so I also liked his emphasis on veterans.
My experience with this company was very positive. I am very pleased with the results and have received many positive comments from friends. A big plus was that he communicated his schedule and any necessary time changes to me on a timely basis. His cost was reasonable and the few repairs necessary after he had completed the project to insure adequate watering of all plants was done efficiently & in a timely manner. I will most likely use him on any future yard work. -
Our house sits on a hill, and we were having a lot of problems with washout from insufficient drainage. We contacted Chris and were amazed when he was able to fix our problem by creating a dry creek bed underneath the surface of our front yard and completely address our issues. Chris was always extremely responsive and dependable and his workers were wonderful to deal with. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

I wanted my irrigation system connected to recently installed irrigation meter. Chris and his team were very quick to respond to my request for a quote (a few hours!!). VLM quickly provided us a quote, scheduled the job (including coordination with communications company to mark their lines), and performed. Very fair pricing and easy to work with throughout the process and friendly! I am glad I went with VLM and can support veterans!!
(1 month update) My irrigation system has been working amazingly and enjoy the lower water bills (~$120 to ~$40). I hired VLM to do some sideyard landscaping for a paver walking path from garage to back patio, as well as to add two additional concrete pads to my existing patio (8x10) to get a (16x10) patio. We also negotiated having some plants/landscaping to occur on both sides of my new pads. They reworked my sprinkler system and did the superb job of the landscaping with frequent updates with the various weather delays. I continue to appreciate Chris and his team at VLM's openness and quality of work!! They are also very knowledgeable in the best plants for the climate!!
Highly recommended for Yulee, Amelia Island, and Fernandina beach areas!! -

My project has just started and so far I’m very pleased with the way it has started and look forward to the finished results.

Very professional and efficient. They ran a new line from a new irrigation meter to my existing sprinkler system. You can hardly see where the work was done. Highly recommend!

I used Veterans Landscape management for assistance with my irrigation system. I would hire them again in a heart best! Quality work, prompt, fairly priced, honest and trustworthy!

When I hired Veterans Landscaping, I was hoping for a expert-guided transformation. What I wasn't prepared for was my unexpected promotion to the role of Job Site Manager!
Let me be clear: The following is NOT a negative review of Veterans Landscaping, but rather an honest critique of my own less-than-stellar performance as their unofficially appointed Job Site Manager for my landscaping project:
1. Backyard Booby Traps
As the newly minted site manager, I completely overlooked the importance of raking and leveling the turf in the backyard. Now, it s a treacherous landscape of ankle-breaking divots. On the bright side, I’ve inadvertently created a top-notch obstacle course!
2. Weed Wonderland
Apparently, it's a site manager’s duty to request weed guard for the mulch beds in the back yard. I missed that memo. As site manager, I should have taken off the day from my job to watch the team, ask questions, and ultimately arrive at a decision that weed guard would have been appropriate. The beds were getting completely redone anyways. Consequently, I now enjoy a daily regimen of weed-picking. Who needs a gym membership when you have a backyard full of free weeds?
3. Plant Parenthood
I was so thrilled about getting new plants that I forgot to inquire about their maturity or how to care for them. As a result, my tiny fashion azaleas didn't provide near the aesthetic rejuvenation I was hoping for. Maybe in a few years I'll think differently.
One of the two somewhat mature Podocarpuses has already completely died. Of course it was the super important one that I purchased to hide the electrical box on the outside wall. I assumed the sprinkler "adjustments" we agreed as part of the service would suffice to water the plant. I guess it was not. But I'm not an expert, hence hiring one. Note to future self: ask more questions!
4. Zombie Sod
When sod for the front yard arrived DOA, the team tried to plant it along my front entry sidewalk. There was zero chance it would survive in the condition. Had I done my job as site manager better, I would have never accepted it from the supplier in the first place. Anyways.
I made the team replace it. Little did I realize, my sharp managerial skills missed the sneaky relocation of the dead sod to a less visible spot. A week later, when I went to that side of the fence I discovered its utterly lifeless remains. Kudos to me for not noticing sooner!
5. Selective Mulching
I must have been unclear about my mulching instructions. Only the main bed around the perimeter received attention. After revisiting my communication strategy, I had the team return to finish the job, re-mulching all of the existing tree beds. Better late than never, I suppose!
6. Guidance Not Included
Apparently, it falls on the site manager to seek professional guidance on their own. Veterans Landscaping executed my instructions to the letter, even if my instructions and desires weren’t the best choices. When hiring a landscaping company, and shelling out that much money, you'd expect some pushback on certain things with explanations as to what works, what doesn't, and how to best achieve your vision in a way that's feasible. Lesson learned: next time, I'll do a little more research before making decisions. No guidance here.
The Verdict
The yard does look better, but not $20,000 better. If you're ready to embrace the role of Job Site Manager and all the responsibilities that come with it, Veterans Landscaping is your team. Just remember, part of the savings passed onto you is your necessary inclusion in the project at every turn.
There are better options in the area. You will probably pay more but absolutely see a better end result. -
Awesome company! They returned calls promptly, the tech that came out was amazing. He was very thorough and fixed our issue same day. Definitely recommend this company for any irrigation needs.
-
Veterans Landscape did an outstanding job in putting in lawn drains at our home. Begore the drains were put in our patio area would flood with rain water. Now it takes all the water away from the house and dispersed into yard. Ni more floods. Strongly recommend them. Easy to work with.

I used Veterans on a couple of larger, complex projects and a couple of smaller projects. I also use them for maintenance. They are responsive, very detailed on the parts and services they are providing and they stand behind their work. I especially appreciate the continuity in their staff. I want to give a shout-out to Leonard ( sorry if I misspelled), one of the technicians. Chris, the owner, is visible on each of the jobs. I highly recommend Veterans Landscape.

Top-Notch Irrigation Service by Leonard and Chris at Veterans Landscaping
I recently had Leonard from Veterans Landscaping install and repair the irrigation around our pool, and the results are outstanding. Leonard was highly professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous in his work, ensuring everything was done to perfection. Chris, the owner, was equally impressive—responsive, easy to work with, and clearly committed to providing excellent service. Our irrigation system is now functioning perfectly, I highly recommend Veterans Landscaping for anyone needing irrigation work! -
Wonderful company to work with. Veterans installed irrigation and sod across our entire property. The whole process was care free. Quality work and pricing.

Chris and his crew did everything we asked, did excellent work along with starting and finishing the job in a timely manner. The backyard landscape looks great, and irrigation installation works as promised. They invested additional time searching for drainage line parts to make it fully functional, as well.
