When you think about having to replace your roof it’s usually something you dread. After spending 40+ years in the insurance industry, majority of it in high net worth insurance in Florida, I have had my fair share of engagement with roofers, most of which has not been pleasant. Especially following hurricane Irma in 2017 and then Ian.

Well, the time came that I had to replace the roof at my home in Islandwalk and I was fortunate enough to engage with Brian Cooper at Mighty Dog Roofing. Not only were they responsive, but the bid was competitive and more importantly they did what they said. Of course I made the decision in the middle of our rainy season so there were a few delays thanks to mother nature, but I was kept in the loop the entire time - the communication was fabulous. Once the work started, I was given photographs videos and drone shots to keep me informed on where we were in the process. Every individual that worked on the project was a professional and on time and worked all day long and Brian and Robert the supervisor were on top of it the entire time and in touch with me consistently. Well today they finished the roof and my new gutters and it looks absolutely fabulous. I could not be happier with the job that was done and equally as important, they were respectful of the property and cleaned up beautifully every day when they were here so my neighbors were not disturbed more than necessary. I’m grateful for great neighbors who understand that sometimes we have to have the roof replaced and it’s not a pleasant in experience, but Mighty Dog Roofing made it even easier

Two failures and that was just while trying to get an estimate. Made an appointment for an estimate. Representative didn’t show and I tried to call. It’s pretty obvious they use a third party call center. That can be OK, but in this case, I could not get any answers from the call center. The representative finally called and genuinely apologized for missing the appointment. Against my better judgment and gut feeling, I agreed to continue trying to get an estimate. A representative did come to the house. However, I was promised an estimate in about 24 hours and certainly not later than the morning after 24 hours. We are now a full day past the extended time promised and nothing. If this is how this business operates, I certainly don’t want them working on my home!

Edit update: I contacted Mighty Dog as requested in their response to my review. Still no estimate. Slow or no response to multiple attempts to contact them. At this point I have to think the stellar reviews are fake.
