Reviews of local pros in Holiday, Florida

Do not buy anything from this place, ABC Appliance in Holiday Florida. It will be a waist of your money. I Bought a refrigerator. Paid $445 for this junk, which I thought was overpriced for a used Fridge anyway. It worked for about 3 months and then starting having a problem with the freezer. Water was accumulating in the bottom and freezing. I let it go another month or so and had to scrape the ice off the bottom because it was stopping the door from shutting. Problem fixed I thought. I finally decided to call. I Was informed I was past the six month warranty. I said fine and they sent out a tech to look at it. The tech came and since, at this point I had the power off, He couldn’t do anything because he said it needed to be running for a while before he could look at it. I called him after another week and he came back out. All he did was pour a little bit of a water through the drain and say it appear to be draining but could be something in the drain itself and he was done in like 10 minutes. Then he said that there would be a service fee to pay for this. The problem persisted and I eventually sent this fridge to the scrap yard. It was a waist of $445. Now their defense to my review is that I must have the wrong company. It was ABC Appliance of Holiday Florida on grand Blvd

Update-I have now shopped here 2 or 3 times. (I am the doer, the shopper, and scheduler for rental units) Yes, their selection varies, and some days, they have more to offer than others. However, I feel I would be remiss if I did not mention the friendliness of the people who work here. Big bonus... they do not hover! They will give you your space to contemplate and discuss. When you're ready or have more questions, just holler. They are there and ready to help you out. Their prices are very reasonable. The last time, they had quite a number of items to select from!
Used appliances. Not a very big selection -
Hours were listed a0s open til 6pm. Arrived at 5:05pm. Sign in the window lit up "OPEN". Nope. They were walking out and very unpleasant. I could have gone back, but why would I voluntarily give my hard earned money to someone so unpleasant?! I have no idea what their prices or selection are, but I went to Ambrosio's and bought the appliances, yes multiple (3), I needed. You may have been having a bad day, but that is not my problem. Call ahead to make sure they are open if you do go!

We called ABC Appliance Center to schedule a pickup for a gas dryer, making it very clear during the call that it was a gas dryer. They scheduled the pickup without mentioning any issues. When the technician arrived, he said he couldn’t touch the gas line. So, we turned off the gas and unhooked it ourselves.
Then, after all that, he told us they couldn’t take the dryer because it was gas. This was incredibly frustrating. It was a complete waste of time and could have been avoided with better communication upfront.
Update/Response: Let’s not rewrite history. We made it crystal clear on the call that it was a gas dryer. No one mentioned that would be a problem. Then your driver shows up and suddenly it’s “we don’t take gas appliances.” That’s not a policy issue, that’s your internal miscommunication—don’t pin it on the customer.
Also, stop pretending you’re doing people a favor. This isn’t charity. You resell these appliances for profit, and that’s fine, but don’t package it like it’s some act of goodwill. It’s misleading and disingenuous.
If gas appliances are excluded, maybe start by putting that on the massive sign you’ve got hanging off your fence on Grand Boulevard. You don’t get to run a resale operation disguised as a free pickup service and then act surprised when people expect you to actually take what they scheduled you for. -
Came in to look for an appliance. Right away I could notice a hard headed unfriendly approach. Confrontationally toned signs on the wall "WE DO NOT PROVIDE WALMARTS RETURN POLICY, THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING" "NO REFUNDS EVER!"
If there are no refunds I'd have to ask what their 90 day warranty entails. Apparently it's to come out and fix it. I asked if I had any way of testing it out before buying and was told, again in a condescending authoritative manner, "No we're not going to pull each one back and test it out, they're all backed by my 'guarantee'"
So let me clarify, the guarantee is that if there is an issue with the appliance working properly, you supposedly get the privilege of letting one of their high school drop out employees come try to fix it for you. The employees who mind you are already giving you attitude BEFORE you give them your money, but I'm sure they'd be charming to work with once you have given them what they want.
Do yourselves a favor and buy something new if you want my advice -
Drove there for a friend he bought a washer, it was an easy purchase and in 9 minutes we were off to his house. Great staff loaded the washer, Great prices and lots of choices. Thank you!!!

Technician Bryan came out to take a look at the washer, told him what the problem was. He diagnosed it as the control panel, which was Priced at $436. Never even tried to fix the original problem just went straight to the whole control panel, didn’t even look at the washer got a second opinion from somewhere else got it fixed for hundreds less. Shop around.

Bryan was very professional and helpful. He even let my dog help with the repair.

I’ve been a loyal customer of ABC Appliance multiple times with no issues—until now. The delivery for the dryer took longer than I was initially told due to staffing issues. The dryer broke after just three uses. I took a day off for a warranty service appointment that was never honored. When I called for clarification., I was hung up on. With still no service date I called back to be screamed at. Now I have to take another day off for a rescheduled visit. After this unprofessional and disrespectful treatment, I won’t be returning. I have requested a refund due to the hostel customer service and still have not received a reply.
Update: of course I have requested a refund! I paid $300 for a dryer I used 3 times it’s been over a month and I still do not have a working dryer. This company is very unprofessional and unreliable. The person writing these comments for ABC is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. DO NOT BY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! -

We live in Tarpon Springs. We had a freezer with an issue and set up an appointment for them to come and look at it and hopefully fix it. Bryan was very professional, found the problem, had the part on his truck and was in and out in 30 minutes. Freezer works beautifully. We have used ABC for years for dryers where they come and deliver and take an old one out and they always guarantee their work. And we buy off the showroom sometimes as well. Great company!

The owner was absolutely wonderful answered all our questions & concerns with the freezer chest making sure our neighbor was happy with her purchase! We appreciate everything so much 🙏

I am not sure why I paid ~$440 for washer rods when 1) it took 3 minutes to diagnose and quote 2) took weeks to get the parts including some miscommunication/misinformation in between 3) the tech spent 30 minutes to install, did not turn my water back on, did not properly re-tighten one of the water lines and did not test the machine before leaving. I had to check for leaking and test the washer myself after the fact.
I am noticing that most of the responses for these reviews seem to be clarifications or arguments, I am not attempting to create any issues as all personnel I interacted with were friendly and kind, I would just like some of my money back. I don't feel the cost vs service level lined up very well in the end. -
I can’t speak to prices or purchasing equipment, but I can share my great experience with ABC Appliance’s service. From the moment I called, they were pleasant and professional on the phone. They scheduled the pickup for the very next day and arrived promptly. They quickly and efficiently picked up my washer, dryer, and freezer, and the process was smooth from start to finish. Thank you so much for your prompt and reliable service!

My son had gotten a used fridge with a 30 warranty. They loaded the fridge in his van on its side. He was told to stand it up but wait 24 hrs before plugging it in. He did what they said to do, but fridge didn't wouldn't get cold or freeze. So he took it back an they refused to refund him. The owner/ manger came out an said it's on him cause he had put it on side when he loaded it. Mind you they loaded it in his van. My son said no, your at fault an dude got right up into my son's face an threatened him. So ,.. you know what mom had to do....🙃.. BBB, complaint.. not to mention, I'm now taking it to Social Media platforms, all of them !!! Tik Tok being the first. Then to Reddit, LinkedIn, quora, facecrook, Instagram, twitter, snapchat, disquord, scope, and to Glassdoor. And I waited it out to do this now ! Tis The Season.

We purchased a used clothes dryer and had some concerns but Brian came out and ran all the tests and explained the fact it was operating properly. His knowledge and expertise and demeanor was very good.

I think that appliance repair is a difficult business to be in because repairs are often more expensive that customers want, expect, or hope it will be.
That being said, we had a great experience with them fixing our washing machine. Hopefully the repair lasts a long time. Shout out to Bryan for being prompt and communicative. -
ABC appliance repaired my washer quickly and professionally. The customer experience is top tier! This is a family owned company and you can tell they take pride in the service they provide and the company itself. They deserve 10 stars. It’s not easy to find hard working professionals that take pride in what they do these days. Brain at ABC does exactly that! The best experience I have ever received from any type of service ever! True, genuine, and authentic. I’d recommend ABC to anyone!

DIDNT EVEN WORK FOR 2 M9NTHS. LIARS, THE GUY IN SHOROOW HAS THE WORST ATTITUDE ALSO. delivered in 2 days, REPAIR guy told me it was a screw and hadn't clue how it happened. Unfortunately no Bras washed in that machine ever.
$300 small washer didnt last 4 months, took them 2 weeks to deliver, and 2 weeks to fix it when it didnt work after a short period. I had less then 90 days of it acutely working and didnt even get it for 2 weeks after I paid for it. I called the lady wanted to charge me $45 and whatever parts it needs, probably be another 3 or 4 weeks.
