Elkay says that Maddenaire is a chosen contractor to supply repairs to there water coolers. We have been waiting since May and it is now September. I have called someone else. Shame on me for letting them string me along with promises that they were coming.

We have used Maddenaire for probably 20 years! Very responsive and professional. Will continue to work with them.

We contacted Maddenaire to fix 2 water bottle fillers for our college. They sent a technician out and said they would return with parts to finish the repair. After waiting 6 weeks I called today to follow up and was told the parts had come in but water coolers are not a priority. They are too busy with a/c work and if I want to have water for the students when they come back in 2 weeks, I should buy back up water bottles for them. Their web-site states they are "factory authorized" for 4 different water cooler companies but obviously they do not really want that type of work. Very poor customer service.

We are a long time customer and can confidently recommend Maddenaire! They send technicians out as soon as possible and provide top quality service and installation. Friendly, professional, and honest work.

Not so sure about this. The company seems fine, but the unit, American standard is not a good product so far. I was just told that I needed to pay $735.00 to repair a 2 year old unit. Needless to say, I am not happy.

I've been using maddenaire for years. Results are always the same cold air. Jeremy did the work, nice guy great technician very professional and showed up on time. If there's a downside then it would be that like most companies they charge by the hour instead of by half hour. Cost of doing business but would not stop me from calling them next time something goes wrong with my A/C

The customer service was professional and the skills outstanding! Candice immediately scheduled the service call & when Shannon & Max showed up they were experts in their trade! When my AC went out on a hot July day I called around and either got answering services or told it would be a few days until someone could get out there. Maddenaire actually answered the phone and came out the same day. I really appreciate their responsiveness. Once there they had me back up and running with a very reasonable price. I'd definitely use them again.

Over the past decade, I have consistently found this company to be honest, but that perception has since diminished.

In February 2025, my HVAC unit experienced a water leak within its interior. The technician promptly vacuumed the drain and extracted the liquid, which appeared relatively clean. He informed me that an implied one-month warranty was applicable in the event of a recurrence.

Regrettably, the leak reoccurred within a month. The technician subsequently diagnosed a low refrigerant level and performed a recharge. Additionally, he identified a freon leak in the internal evaporator coil, estimating the replacement cost at $2,000. Initially, I opted to observe the situation with only the recharge. Surprisingly, the leak has not resurfaced for nearly six months, even during the summer months.

However, a few days after the recharge, I received an invoice for $185, despite assurances from the owner that the month’s warranty would cover this visit. When I contacted the owner, he was unable to recall the conversation.

Despite the inconvenience, I paid the bill. Consequently, I have decided to discontinue using their services due to the misdiagnosis and breach of their contractual obligations.

We were surprised to learn that the Madden’s had retired, as we had always enjoyed working with them. That said, we couldn’t be more pleased with the transition and the service provided by A Comfortable Environment (ACE) . Their staff was friendly, prompt and did not try to sell me something I did not need.
We truly appreciate the way ACE has stepped in to continue the level of service we had come to expect, and we’re looking forward to working with them moving forward.

I booked HVAC repair through Thumbtack. Service got scheduled based on contractor calendar for 8a on 3/7/24. This changed to 11a and later 9a on speaking with David. Technician arrives and does a great job restoring the HVAC. He calls David for pricing and then provides me a jaw dropping cost on parts at a 2500% markup. I speak with David about the astronomical cost of parts and he goes on to tell me his work truck must be paid for. Very dishonest contractor and I wouldn't recommend their service to anyone.

Jared came and did our annual service on our air conditioning unit. He did a great job and we appreciate his professionalism.

David A. Taylor was the 4th contractor to look at my ac system. They were able to get the work done for a fair price. I cannot say enough great things about them. They were great at communicating with me about all phases of the job. The repairs were made and my home is cool again. There are a lot of ac contractors in Jacksonville, so it's difficult to choose one. You can trust this company.

David & his team came at night to take out and place a new system for me. They stayed until after 1:30 in the morning to ensure the system was up and running with no problems. Now I have a brand new system ready for summer. I thank everyone at David Taylor Air Condtioning from Michele at the office to Steve, Paul, "Buggs," & Paul for their time and work they put in.

Jarod came by today to help fix our AC unit, he was very nice and friendly, got here quick, which was very nice because it is a hot hot day and the price was a lot better than we thought it was going to be, thank you Jarod.
