I can’t say enough great things about everyone at Down Under Construction! From the first time I called asking for a quote to fix damage to the buildout of my kitchen to the completion of the project, everyone was professional, courteous, and finished the job quickly! Joe, Joey and Nicki were so understanding and explained the process. Joey’s workmanship was perfection. He was always prompt, a great communicator and followed-up! I highly recommend them and will use them in the future for construction jobs! Tammy and Larry!

DUCS has a good reputation for their quality of work.
We did a gut and remodel of our kitchen. It turned out just as I imagined it (so HGTV). I was so impressed with Michael. He called me and texted me and responded immediately to my questions. I have more work for them to do in the future. So thankful we decided to have them do the work. I highly recommend Down Under Construction if you want the job done right!

Down Under Constructio an excellent job on my project. They replaced cast iron sewage pipes in the kitchen and laundry area, replaced galvanized water pipe from the meter and installed water softening system and leveled up the floor in the dining room with the kitchen. They finished an old attached garage which also needed leveled up, insulation, drywall, electrical outlets and lights. Flooring was installed throughout the house. Joe and Ricardo were easy to work with and always available. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend Down Under Construction for any project. They will provide good quality and value.

DUCS just finished updating our master bathroom. They completely gutted it down to the studs and replaced with new drywall and tile on the floor and shower walls. This is the third job DUCS have done for us and Joe is always a pleasure to deal with. He answers the phone every time you call and is always honest and easy going. The workers were all very tidy and always swept up every day before they left. Would use again for our next project.

We hired Down Under Construction Services to do extensive remodeling to our current home. Our experience with this company was excellent. They were timely, honest, and professional and had great insight for the project. This project included our master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with an island, and family room addition of 450 sqft. Workmanship quality was outstanding and we especially appreciated both Johnny and Lawson who were always so helpful and accommodating. This was our second remodeling experience with Down Under Construction . We originally hired them a few years ago to work on our kitchen and completely remodel it and it turned out beautifully.

Joe and his crew built 2 custom houses for me on Indian Rocks Beach and they knocked it out of the park! On time and on budget, these houses are beyond gorgeous and we could not be happier with the results. Joe and his crew provided constant communication, supervision and the quality is amazing. If you need anything done from site demolition, ground up construction, remodeling, additions and anything in between, Down Under Construction Services are above and beyond and you will not be disappointed!

They did a good job of the construction on the room. They sent out 4 different people. each person had a different specialty and a different job.

All of the people were professional and friendly.
Even the lady in the office was very helpful and friendly.
The job was completed in record time. They have the process down to a science. One guy tore down the old room and pored concrete. One guy put up dry wall and replaced the door. One guy textured the dry wall and painted. Yet another guy put the tile down and did the finishing touches.
We had a hiccup at the end of the process, but I called the owner Joe and he sent somebody out and resolved the issue.

I recommend this company highly. I have been using them since 2006. They even made the process of paying them painless for me. Since I am blind, I would have to have a sighted person help me write out a paper check or use my credit card. Since the price would have exceeded the limit on my credit card, they allowed me to pay with an electronic check. (e-check).

I am giving them 5 stars and I will be recommending them to anybody who needs construction on their homes.

We have worked with several contractors in the past for new construction. This was the first remodel project. Joe and his team were timely, professional, and courteous. The project started within a few weeks of signing a contract, exactly as promised. Would recommend staying on top of your material list. In our experience it’s a waiting game with suppliers/vendors, but Joe keeps the project moving!

Joe would either stop by or give us a text almost daily to check on progress and discuss next steps. He was very responsive to our calls and messages, even calling back while on vacation himself. He was great to collaborate with on the project, sharing ideas for the desired outcome. He also listened to our concerns and worked to complete the project to our satisfaction.

Would recommend without reservation!

We just completed an entire house renovation, a remarkable transformation thanks to Joe Romano and his team at Down Under Construction. The end result looks wonderful. In addition to complete kitchen and baths rehab, new doors, trim, and floors, we also had an addition built. Joe had plenty of solid ideas and great advice and we were able to design a plan for his team to build. Led by Joe, we now have a very appealing contemporary and functional new home and the perfect place to entertain friends and family.
PROS
1- Joe Romano (owner) is willing to work with the homeowner to ensure the project is done right from start to finish. He has an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
2- He is knowledgeable, responsive, has good connections, excellent rapport with office staff, tradesmen, and sub contractors.
3- Joe and his team have a very thorough understanding of the permit process. This is very critical when doing an extensive rehab in the state of Florida.
This was perhaps the most important thing for us as we had numerous inspections to pass.
CONS
1- As with any contractor, get as much clarity on the Scope of Work. Get details early in the process so there are no surprises and/or multiple change orders.
2- Prices appear to be premium so if budget is an issue, shop around. Again the old adage, "You get what you pay for."
3- Due to his extensive expertise and many years in the construction business, resources can be spread thin.
Despite a few Cons, I felt compelled to share my experience with Ducs. Their outstanding customer service and reliability sets them apart in the industry. If you are considering a home renovation project,

Joe and the entire crew from Down Under Construction Services were awesome! I highly recommend them for any of your construction needs. They built us a beautiful shade porch. Joe has a wonderful group of employees and sub contractors. Everyone was so friendly and took pride in their work. The city inspectors even commented that they knew Joe and DUC and they do a great job.

5 STARS across the board! The project went very smoothly, and any unexpected issues were fixed in timely manner. Joe is knowledgeable and super nice. His positive attitude flows down, all the people who worked on the house were also not only experienced but very pleasant as well.

We used Ducs Builders for a complete renovation of our condo. From the beginning to the end, we had no problems. Joe and his team worked in a very professional and courteous manner. All the work done is of Superb quality and all our friends notice it when they see it.We had many issues pop up in the middle of the project but they handled everything in a very nice manner. They are a very friendly team and kept the whole situation stress free. Even after the project was finished, they are always available for follow up on a very short notice.We have no reservations in recommending them for any project, big or small.

After the devastation of two back-to-back hurricanes, Down Under Construction has been a blessing to us in helping put our home back together. It’s been reassuring to know Joe and his team are neighbors and always right there on top of things. There hasn’t been a time we’ve brought something to Joe’s attention and he hasn’t been on it right away. We’ve felt comfortable with and confident in the crews who have come in for different aspects of the project — our neighbors who used different contractors were all jealous of the way our drywall turned out! Any future projects we will absolutely use Down Under Construction again.

Contractor removed tile and carpet and installed new flooring throughout, new granite countertops, wall tile, baseboards and new appliances. Work done was excellent and they were very helpful relating what was being done. I live in Ohio and work done was in Florida. After finishing they did a video walkthrough so I could see finished renovations. I would highly recommend this company.

We hired Dave and his crew to remodel our 35 year old 1800 sq. ft. Condo. Literally, they made this place look like it was just built. They were professional an knowledgeable. We were living in Franklin, TN, so Dave had to handle all of the little details. When we moved in we felt like we were on TV, I was waiting for someone to say "move that bus". Dave designed the new kitchen lighting, installed the new cabinets, counter tops back splash, all of the plumbing fixtures and flooring. Removed popcorn ceiling. We also remodeled both bathrooms and closets. added Tiled the patio with cabinets and a granite counter. You will not find anyone that is more focused on detail.

Used DUCS for my new Kitchen in Bay Island. The whole experience was nothing short of great. Joe Romano is a a stand up guy and delivered on his promise and everything we agreed to. They were always on time and the quality of work they delivered was impeccable. Special shout out to Russ who installed the cabinets. The cabinet order was screwed up by the manufacturer, however Russ was meticulous and made it work with some retro fitting. Also special recognition for Bobby Romano...great guy and a a true sheetrock professional. While I don't know the backsplash guy, he was great also. I don't normally write reviews, but their work requires a true acknowledgement. Thank You DUCS.
